Hey folks!! I'm new here and hope this hasn't been asked before. I have a '98 Royal Star Tour Classic II with the large leather slope bags. They are beginning to get pretty weather worn and I was wondering if anyone on here has found a good replacement for these or not. I've been watching ebay for months and none have shown up. Any ideas?? Thanks...........Ron -
I have 2006 Midnight Venture with a broken CB Antenna, is there anywhere I can get a replacement antenna besides the dealer, they want $180.00 for a replacement. I don't use the CB, however I may want to sell the bike, and the original equipment antenna would be needed. Thanks

fuse box for head light??

I have an 85 vr that the fuse box sits on the battery and the fuse for the headlight have a broken clamp for the fuse does any one have a fuse box for sell or know where to get a replacement ?? thanks for the assist. -
Well 22 years of building Aerial and Underground Cable TV Systems has taken a toll on my hips. My left hip is in the worst shape. After seeing 3 Doctors they they came to the conclusion that I need a Birmingham Hip resurfacing, Not quite a full hip replacement. \ They elected to do this instead of a full replacement because they say Im to young. My question is, has anyone on here had this done and how long was the recovery period.\ From what I have read it is 6 to 12 months. Will have it done sometime between March and May. This means the wife and I will be caging to the International Rally which really sucks since its here right in our back yard. Once the hip is healed then will have my foot done which is another 4 to 6 months recovery. Doc says right hip will probably need to be done also in the next 3 years. So looks like my bike might be sitting for a while John

Two of the locks holding the bag on the bike are not activating meaning I can't take them off. (The third has a new(er) lock w. separate key) Are these things repairable? Does someone have two (preferable 3) replacement locks? Or do i need to buy new ones and if so where? Thanks!!

I have an `83 standard that had a bad rear shock. I ordered a rear shock for a Royale along with a Progressive replacement spring. I read that as an option somewhere on here, but don't know who gets the credit for posting it. Yesterday, I finally got around to installing zerk fittings on the shock assembly following Freebird's instructions. I installed them on the wrong side of the front arm and have a replacement on the way. I haven't read anything about putting zerk fitting on the top and bottom mounts of the shock itself. Looking at the shock, it makes perfect sense to me to do it, but I know better than to assume. Has anyone done this? Is it a bad idea? Also - my old shock leaked all over me when I turned it upside down without the air hose attached to it. The replacement didn't. What, if anything, should I put in it and how much? -
Disclaimer: This is just my opinion. Yours may vary...... After running the 150 front for years last summer I finally went and tried the 130 front tire when I needed replacement. After a year of use all I can say is that I am not too happy with my decision. Sure, the steering is easier at low speeds but I also feel like im going to drop the bike in turns. Also I have no confidence at speeds over 85 with the 130. Bike just dont seem as stable at high speeds then it did with the 150. On the interstate I like to run up to 90 on occasion or higher. Im scared poopless now anywhere near that figure. Even my wife noticed my concerns. And shes usually asleep back there..LOL. Next replacement im going back to the 150.

Do any members have info. on a company that makes a replacement rear schock for an 03 midnight venture. OEM is a piece of you know what. If no replacement ava. will a later year schock work or are all equally as bad as the 03 model.

I have look in the Tech section but I did not find anything on brake replacement. Can anyone dirrect me to a thread on replacing the rear brkaes? Thanks, Danny

I finally checked my CB antenna out this weekend and discovered I had just as much power going towards the radio as I did the antenna. No wonder it didn't work real well. Anyway I checked the radio with a good antenna on the truck and found about 2.5 watts output. So I am looking for a good place to buy another replacement for the bike. Does anyone have good information where to find a replacement? Probably will go with a Firestick.....

I need to replace my stator at 68,000 miles and was wondering if this is normal or what the average mileage was for a stator replacement.. If you've replaced your stator please respond with your mileage.

Anyone know of a good 2003 Red & Gold saddlebag for sale? The dealer's price is outrageous and I've been looking on eBay without any luck. Also, who has the best prices on replacement parts like fenders, turn signal assemblies, etc? I'm also looking for the best discounts in accessories. Yup, someone decided to "customize" my bike last week. Thanks.

Hi All, I'm looking to replace my existing radio, as I "think" that's the cultprit, nothing else has worked. So, anyone know where I can find a replacement unit? Bikebandit.com has them but, they're about $900. Or, can these be sent in for repair, somewhere? Thanks.

Friend of mine inherited his fathers 1950 Triumph 650cc . He will be shipping it to Wa. from Ca. and is going to start a slow methodical Restoration of the Bike. Was talking to him today, and looking at a few photo's of the bike, its in pretty good condition. And should make a great Restoration project. Anyway, My Question: The original " Amal " Carbs are known to be pretty much Junk. I was wondering if anybody out there has any suggestions for a replacement carburator for these Vintage Triumphs ? Seems I remember seeing that there might be a Mikuni that could be used as a replacement. Also, next question would be the Electrical charging systems ( ie. Lucas ) are pretty much junk from back in the 50's. Any suggestions for a Modern Replacement for the electrical system. Hey " Squeez " do you have any expertise in this area ?? Any and all suggestions are wellcome.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. Hazen got in a accident with his bike "deer vs Hazen" deer won but good news is Hazen is going to be. Bad news I thought I had put the full coverage back on it and I did not so it only had storage (: So what I would like to do is start looking for replacement parts without him knowing so I could suprise him.

Is there anything available? I have a few tapes to listen to but I have to upgrade to something better. You would think with such a great bike, someone would have invented a replacement for the old sound system. I have an iPhone and might try to integrate it in to the sound system somehow. That way I could use the phone and music features. I also saw that the unit says intercom but I have not found a place to plug in headsets. Am I missing something here? Has anyone come up with a way to replace the factory sound system with something a lot better? Any help is appreciated. 1984 Venture Royale 1200

My new, uninsured Nokia 6085 was washed by accident and now its kaput. No, there was no insurance either so a new replacement is gonna cost big bucks, unless........someone here knows of any reliable, cheap outlets for one.

Greetings oh knowledgeable ones... I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not the Fender ornament on my 99 RSV is a Yamaha ornament. More importantly, does anyone know where I can get a replacement rubber base for it? The one on this ornament is rotting and cracked. Thanks in advance!

The trunk rack on my 05 RSV has started to rust. I want to replace it, but I don't know what brand it is. Is there a way to tell if it's a yamaha brand, or some other. Also are the mounting points the same for any rack made for the Venture. Maybe some one can give me some mearsurements of the mounting points so I can get a replacement. Thanks

The only issue I have with my 99 RSV is that the screw heads in the tour pack and in the fairing strip out too easily. Does anyone know where to get replacement screws? Thanks, -
