Ok folks - now for something completely different. The City of Buda, Texas Lions Club hosts an event every spring. It is the WEINER DOG RACES!! That's right, two days of dachsund racing and other fun stuff. The festivities are on April the 26th and 27th this year. The "Run for the Roses" is on Sunday afternoon. Anybody up for an afternoon of "hot" dog racing? This is like the 13th annual race. We will be going up on Sunday just to have fun. JB

We're gonna celebrate the 1 yr anniversary tonight. About a year ago Yamamama and I started hanging out in chat every night. We've had lots of fun with all the folks who come in to chat with us. Also we just hit 4321 members today. Just a fun little milestone to celebrate too. So come on in I'm sure we'll have fun and the beer will be flowing. We'll probably start around 9 pm eastern time. Oh we can also celebrate daylight savings time since we lost an hour today. Just means spring is that much closer even for those of you with snow at the moment. Margaret

Went up to Sault Ste Marie for my fathers 70th Birthday Party. Had a good time, but we left this morning in some nasty weather. The first 180 miles of the 475 mile run was not fun. We were travelling between 25 and 50 miles an hour. Windy, snow coverred roads with white out conditions. On top of the Mackinaw bridge they were escorting the trucks and trailors. The rode way was clear, but the wind WOW. You can see the car in front of us was white with snow which was the way most vehicles were and you could barley see there lights, when they hit there brakes. The last picture is my Father with Mr. Bon Soo (Mascot of the winter carnival), who made an appearance as my cousin is the Vice President of the orgnaization. Made it home safe and sound, after longer than normal run. My two Brothers, sister and family are still in the Sault as they closed down highway 17 on the Cdn side so they were not able leave. Brad

Hannigan is at it again ... My personal opinion is that it takes most of the fun out of motorcycling, but each one to his/her own, I suppose ... http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2007/09/24/honda-gold-wing-quad-from-hannigan-motorsports Cheers,

I would like to know why you chose your user name and signature. I think it could help us all to know each other a little better. My user name is funrider, that is because I have fun everytime I go riding and every ride I have is fun. My signature use to be, My wife asks me when I am going ot grow up, I tell her I have to grow old, I don't have to grow up. ( that pretty much is the way I look at life, to many people grow old and forget to have fun.) Another person has a signature very much the same, so I have decided to change mine. My new one is, A clash between a bike and a cage, You can not win. Choose you battles wisely and live to ride again. After reading about all the accidents, damage to bikes. personal injuries and even the deaths of fellow riders, I feel this is only appropriate. Now it is your turn to tell all of us about why your user name and signature. Oh, one more question, how do I keep this post going?

So, after a bumpy start Wednesday(battery wouldn't fire the bike up at 36 degrees!!) I was off and running. Ran into construction on 85 South. I actually stopped in traffic and put down the kickstand several times. Got into Atlanta and met 86er and Blackjack for supper. Had a bit of pig and sauce. Then followed 86er home for the nite. Had some bourbon and called it a day. It don't get a whole lot better than that. However, when he tells you home is just across town, it is the route that is fun. Across the dam and through a bunch of mild twisties and hills. Finally got to run the old girl on something besides a highway. Wish it wasn't dark, it would have been pretty. Just don't follow 86er on every turn - some of them might be sidewalks!! (Turn lane disappeared - he didn't actually go off the road, just kinda pointed it that direction. Attached is a pick from the parking lot. J. B.

well this morning i saw my trailer at bush tech. Just to let you know its a nice one but, they wouldn't release the trailer. they said my hitch was not to there likening (safety) i asked them if we could spend a few mins to reinforce it. i told them it dont have to look pretty just to do the job. so i ended up with no trailer. then on the way home my clutch went i made it home almost, with just 70 miles to home plate. so one of my buds rode on home and then came back to get me with a trailer. FUN FUN FUN:draming:

I like to go to m/c dealers just to look at bikes, both new and used. sometimes they will let me ride one if they are not busy. What three bikes would you like to "demo" just for fun, not to buy but because you are curious. Mine is the Rocket III, Harley Road Glide, and the Valkyrie.

Hopefully this will work - make sure your sound is turned on! Have fun Eugene

Highway 23, better known as the 'Pig Trail' in Northwest Arkansas is lots of fun with all the twisties. We picked up Hwy 23 at Ozark, AR and followed it up to Eureka Springs. Fun Ride.

I took the Experienced Rider Coarse yesterday on the Venture. I have been riding 35+ years. It was quite challenging but fun anyway. We have 5 instructors in our riding and I have done most of the exercises in our training sessions but not officially signed up for the class. It cost $125 and well worth the money. They pointed out some of my bad habits and helped me with my technique. The "box" and the "offset weave" were the hardest but I made it through with out dropping the bike at all. I plan on taking the instructors coarse and get my certificate to teach. No matter how long you have been riding this is a good thing to do every one has room to improve. Tips: bring something to drink and a snack, don't have a full tank of gas (too much extra weight), relax and just do it. I found I tried to hard and tensed up on some exercises and did much better after I relaxed. Have fun and enjoy the ride. Rod
