I had my Bushtec Trl. painted to match the 06 black cherry RSV. I did not seal the deck lid 3rd tail light correctley and developed a leak. Called bushtec, long story short... rode to their factory in Jacksboro, Tn. They fixed leak free. While there I had a luggage rack and bearings installed. No labor or installation cost. If you buy from them the labor is free. Met a GW rider there from Ga. who had ordered a trl. to match his GW paint job. He was leaving in one week for a ride out west. Bushtec could not have his trl. ready in time, so they loaned him one to pull for his trip., (unheard of). I have never dealt with a company that treated the customer so nice. Can not say enough for this company, if you get a chance tour their factory...If you come through Chattanooga, I will take you there. :cool10:

I went to my local dealer and was told that I cannot buy the black wire tubes that they use on the wiring harness in the factory. Does anybody know where I can get some in different sizes? I cannot find it in all my internet searches? I am not looking for heat shrink tubing or the split loom that is used on most cars. I want my wireing mods to look like they were done in the factory.

Hey Folks. Need a little advice. Have the wheels off my 89 for tires and am doing the related maintenance and lubrication, fuel filter etc. Question is, at 44k should I remove the drive shaft and take a look, at u joint, lube etc. I have searched this site, the internet and my manual and cannot find any factory recommended service interval, which tells me this is not an issue for an enclosed unit like this. Also what is the recomended service interval for the u-joint. I may be overlooking this info somewhere, but just don't seem to be able to find it at my age anymore, know what I mean?

I got a vent, hoping to install it in my factory windshield. The vent has slightly less of a curvature than the windshield. Has anyone done this? Does it work? Clearview informed me that they are aware of people that have done it and that the windshield will flex some as the vent is tightened. Makes me wonder if it is worth the risk.

My front fender has a hole in the very front of it. I figure there was a chrome piece mounted there that used a mount in the very front. Anyone have this or know exactly which one it was? I'd like to get on and cover the hole. This is not the hole that the factory chrome sits in and is bolted on the sides. The hole is just above the factory chrome piece.

Well, dropped off my 07 venture at 1700 miles to have the rear splines greased and the carbs to be checked( I think they need to be resynced). The dealer told me the neither one of these is covered under warranty. I thought the rear spline thing was a factory issue. Should I call yamaha to find out? I also left them the service bulletin for the "I" basket.

I took my '05 venture to the shop for the factory supplied front light bar to be repaired and the shop manager told me that the problem was a factory defect as he handed me a bill for $175.00. The bike is paid for so I paid the bill. I believe they saw me coming from a ways off. Do you suppose I have any recourse? appreciate your thoughts:confused24:

85 venture royal thruster washer re: second gear
Guest posted a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I understand that "up to a certain model number" there was a factory authorized replacement thruster washer to solve certain 2nd gear issues. Does anyone know what was the relevant number ? I am assuming that bikes manufactured after that particular number would have had the "hard" washer factory installed. -
I have just had my 05 RSMV into the shop where I had to insist on a new clutch basket because of the chirping. The dealer ordered and installed it, I had requested that he order ( i forget which one I was told about on here) not sure if he did or not, I was told that yamaha made four different ones for this problem. IT is louder than before, and when I returned to the dealer he told me that it was a one time fix from the factory and they would not do it again at there expense.Question...who has had it done and was the results satisfactory? What part number was used? After I get some more info IM going right to factory rep. I also had the exaust leak on the right Y and after much arguing with the service manager I asked for a second opinion from the factory and was told that the factory does not get involved in such matters. I knew It was Bull*%#$ he was feeding me so I told him I would contact the factory myself, all of a sudden my exaust pipe was ordered and installed.
