  4. I had my gas cap come apart when I had my Yamaho 1100 classic. It came apart (screw in tank) at about 15,000 miles and it was still in there when I sold it at 42,000.
  5. As mentioned in a earlier post, my shifter was laying on my floorboard a couple of weeks ago. You can hold it on with your left foot to get home just fine. Also had a couple of fender bolts vibrate loose. Gotta check everything...
  6. Thanks again, I grabbed the diagram and now I'll match the bolt from the side cover.
  7. Got it. Thanks for the quick reply.............
  8. Hi all Interesting thing happened today....Wife and are out for a nice Easter ride, about 45 miles or so from home, when I go to downshift while approaching a light and wa-la, my shifter is laying on my floorboard. I pull into a wide spot (the wife follows me in on her Shadow) and guess what? the machine screw (that holds the heel toe in place is somewhere on Rt 33. I put the shifter back on and all is good ( I hold it in place with my foot after each shift). Now what I can use is the exploded diagram of the shifter for a 2005 RSV midnight. Thanks inadvance.
  9. Going to be at the villages in Lady Lake.
  10. The wife and I are going to visit my sister in Florida. Leaving from NJ on 5-11-12.

  12. Can anyone tell me what type of pump you use to pump up the forks? I don't want to damage anything. Thanks. (05 Midnight Venture.)
  13. I have a problem at red lights. The sensor in the road doesn't see the RSV. I added a green light trigger magnet and it still dosen't see it. My last bike was a 04 V-Star and it triggered the lights just fine. Anyone have any ideas? I have a large bar magnet that I'm thinking of strapping to the underside of the bike.
  14. I Just put on my new Clearview (3" shorter & 2" wider). It's great. I can see over and not through it. I don't like looking through it, going to work in the morning it will ofter fog up when I go thru a low spot. (lots of them in NJ) now I look over and am a happy camper. I have the origina (05 Midnight Venture) for sale.
  15. Well, the wife and I just got back from a nice trip. We left NJ on Monday morning and went up along the Delaware river into Port Jervis, NY. then up 209 to around kingston and up 9w (depressing) and some other back roads and stayed just north of Saratoga Springs. Next day it was doing some sighting in the area and then up to Vermont and then south through the Green Mountains and into the Berkshires of MA. Then back to NY for the night and then home to South Jersey. Nice trip. It only rained 4 or 5 times. Mostly on top of the mountains.

  21. I don't know anything about a warning light. All I know is that this product if advertised to work with LED's or Incandesant bulbs.
  22. Sempre Fi. I enlisted in 1966 and was rewarded with a life changing experience at Parris Island, SC. I proudly served in the Republic of Vietnam in 1969.
  23. I bought the "BackOFF-XP" brake light signal module by Signal Dynamics.com. It works with either incandescent light bulbs or LED's. Currently I have the incandescent bulbs, but I will be switching over to the LED's soon. Very easy to install. It's a nice small neat module that mounts with the supplied double sticky tape. I mounted it behind the battery. Check with JP Cycle. I think I paid $32.00 plus shipping. Thanks again.
