  1. HA!, didnt see another post on this and I missed the back cover. Ive never seen an RSV based trike, thought it was cool...
  2. I got my march issue of Rider magazine today. There is a cool article about a 2 nd gen Hannigan trike conversion kit on the market. Anyone see it? https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/7c1va5VVTjjSavaahbHAzqb9susT2h0AJYuuY-fx9pw?feat=directlink
  3. I have the same unit. Unfortunately the only way to get sound out of it is through the speaker/ power adapter. Garmin also makes a hard wire kit that has a 1/8 audio jack on it the could be plugged into an audio system (that's what I did) but that cable is almost as much as the speaker version. There are plenty of cheap AC adapters on eBay. If you don't care for sound, you could plug in the adapter and with a meter figure out where the Dc 12 volts is , clip the ac off and hard wire it that way? http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=garmin+2730&_sacat=See-All-Categories

  7. I bought a "blem" from Clearview. Clear, tall and I added the vent afterwards. I couldn't find the stated scratches either ! Im looking thru it however right at the point where the rebend occurs near the top. So the wind protection and buffeting reduction is great but the optical issues are bad (for me). I may cut it down and loose the rebend in the process. Otherwise a great shield, agree and I like the company and people...
  8. whatever floats your boat (or in our case, whatever fill your tank) they say right! There are a few different type of nozzles out there and it doesnt take long to figure out how to get that one click fill up with each. And yes, even with the accordion type of deal, you dont stick the thing all the way in otherwise you are right, it'll click off before you are full. Takes a tiny bit of practice but now I know im full without having to pull the trigger multiple times and I get no splash back over my tank. ok...that's now my full endorsement of the McCuff:) @!
  9. As goofy a premise as it is, it works great and I use it every time I fill up. Sure the limitation of our tank design doesn't allow a fill up to the very top but I can go right to the neck with one click every time. It works best when the nozzle has that full accordion looking sleeve but it also works when there is just the rubber hood on the nozzle. After a few fill ups you get the hang of it. Then you can fill up with confidence then when it clicks off, you are as full as you can be with zero gas on the tank and zero splash. my two cents....
  10. I carry a pair of mid weight rubber gloves I got from Home Depot. Imagine a pair of cotton gloves dipped in rubber. Full water protection and not too bad when its cold. Get the biggest pair and they fit over my light weight leather gloves..... works for me until it really gets cold then Im into my winter set.

    screen name

First Initial, Last Name, State...maybe I outta just include my SS# while im at it !
  12. FYI: (maybe for someone who buys it) I find that often something small gets stuck between the bezel and the touch sensor along the bottom edge on my Garmin. This creates a fake permanent touch, disabling the real touch function. I run a thin pc of plastic around the bezel edge to clear it and it works everytime...
  13. No prob. Let me know if I can help any other way....
  14. What version of Corel did you have? For all I get outta this site, ! I'd loan you my set of version 13 and you can use your license OR I will give you my copy of version 9 as I no longer use it. PM me your address if you want either ...if that helps... andrew
  15. O yea I heard those from your post, very cool. and they look cool. Id like to hear a set of RK mufflers though. With a V4 Im assuming they dont sound anything like they would on an HD but Im wondering if they are a cross between stock and my Bub'[s that are way too loud (for me)
  16. Any chance you can take a video of the bike running so we can hear them?
  17. Yep fiberglass. The Moose kit comes with three materials, screen, fiberglass then some kind of outer heavier material. In the end I just used the fiberglass but for me, they are still too loud! If possible it';d be great to hear your after you pack them them....
  18. That was me. Yep those tips are a real pain to get off. I had to beat them hard with a rubber mallet. Sanded off all the remaining chrome, primer, high heat flat black and they looked great. As far as re-packing. I first installed the Moose Products kit which included a screen that wraps the baffle before wrapping the fiberglass. I complained about the lack of reduced sounds. It was suggested to remove the screen and go with fiberglass only for which I did that. The grumble was much lower in tone. It was perfect; not ear piercing, not too soft. That lasted a month. I took them apart a third time to discover most of the packing had disinergrated already. i went back to stock ! Good Luck Andrew
  19. Are you splitting the input by chance? Sharing the AUX input with more then one device? That;'ll knock the volume down. If so, I was able to build a cheapo mixer that separates the devices and allows for individual control of the AUX input. If thats your deal, heres the link to that conversation. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=35536 If not, then your idea about putting a small amp in the fairing makes sense (to me)
  20. Looks like a great time and the Microcars are so cool. BTW: What kind of helmet are you wearing? Im on the hunt for something ..... http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic/2010/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic%20Microcar%2020101009/IMG_0001.jpg
  21. Im not much into racing but I could appreciate what was going on. Since my company is a sponsor I got to meet Don Panoz, who owns the track, race teams, resorts in the area and aparently has something to do with bringing over or creating the Abruzzi street and race car....anyway I dont know what Im talking about but the man was facinating ! The race was intrestng as I learned 4 classes of cars race at the same time for 10 hours! The BMW cars we sponser came in 4th and 7th in thier class and somehow managed to win the overall series points catagory....again whatever that means! The infield was insane....vendors, dealers, bikes, cars and race fans everywhere...
  22. Hello My company is a race sponsor and I attended this weekends Petit Lemans race at Road Atlanta. Right outside my companies hospitality suite was this blue/black 2nd gen. Anyone here? http://lh6.ggpht.com/_9EMyKcng_yA/TKiZZVYU5vI/AAAAAAAAD9g/OvmR2FFooLg/IMG00060-20101002-1308.jpg http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/OgglYltfRuYF66JgtAlgyg?feat=directlink
  23. I bought 25 Acer 11.6" Netbooks for a sales out promo at work and 5 for my family. 6 cell batteries make the thing run for near 5 hours and upgrade to Windows 7 makes them run better. 250 GB drives and 2GM Ram! The screens are great, High resolution and LED backlit, super bright and the units is super light. Other then an inability to run HD video full screen without jumping. The integrated webcam works great but does get jumpy at full screen mode. These units do everything for the casual user. Surf the web, MS Office apps, my daughters even run PaintShop Pro without issue. No internal CD so an external drive is required to load from a disc. Id go for it. 10" is too small for my liking though
