I can't even find where they make Vance & Hines for the Venture. Seems they make it for every model except the Venture.

Vance & Hines or Bubs? I rode yamahamer's this weekend and he has Bubs, so I know what those sound like. I have only heard Vance & Hines on YouTube, but they sounded pretty sweet too. What do you think?

I have used them about 2 months ago. Item was received in a timely manner, email confirmation and UPS tracking number provided. I bought my wife's riding jacket from them. Competitively priced. Had no issues with them at all. Would use again.

Do you have to modify the helmet, or wear an ear piece for these things to work? I guess what I am curious about is regarding how it works> do they attach to the helmet -ear piece and mic or do you wear it and the helmet fits over it?

Most of the intercom systems I see are for open faced helmets. Any out there you can recommend for a full faced helmet?

Thoughts on the best pipes to get for a more throaty sound? What are these slipons I get running across on the internet? I don't want a LOUD bike, but I do want a nice sounding, nice idling, can hear it when you get on it sound.

08 Venture, has about 650 miles. Can't get it to the shop until next Wednesday. Do I need to continue being aware of the "break in" period until the starter oil is out or should I not really be too concerned about it and ride like I normally would. Also, the radio buttons are becoming non-responsive, what do I do about that?

Still gravel. Dues are only $15 for the year. Can't imagine that would break anyone. Or, $1 a day visitor pass.

Small world...we go to 29 Dreams a few times a week. Tim and his guys are the only ones I will trust to work on the bike. We need to hook up there soon. I haven't seen many Ventures there so shouldn't hard to find each other.

Let me clarify, the word dirty is relative to my standards. When I was looking at the bike I was taking it all in, seeing everything on this bike for the first time....I was not looking for small scratches on the windshield, only after I got it home and got deeper in to the bike did I notice the scratches. I bought the bike from Sylacauga Yamaha, called them and they are open to looking at the windshield and sync'ing the carbs.

I would appreciate your thoughts on this as I have a few questions, once again. Apologize for my ignorance upfront. - I can get warranty work at any Yamaha dealer I choose, correct, and not just the one I purchased the bike from? - When I got the bike home, first off it was really dirty, when I washed it yesterday and got it good and clean, I noticed a large scratch running all the way across my windshield….how should I go about getting that replaced, or can it be replaced since I already took delivery of the bike? If I can get it replaced would that be a warranty item? - I notice when I am decelerating the exhaust sputters some, not backfiring, just kind of like it is coughing (if that makes sense). I also noticed it does this when I rev’d in the garage yesterday. - How do I know if they even prepped the bike before I took delivery? My thoughts are all they did was roll it from the show room out to front of the building and wait on me to pick it up. Sorry for the questions, but this is a new bike and I want to make sure I get it off to a good start, and I simply do not trust these motorcycle dealers…at least not the ones around here. yesterday. I have a Suzuki Boulevard cruiser, so the Venture is taking a little get use to, as to be expected. I have seen a few posts on here about Avon tires, do tires really make that big a difference in handling? Slow speed manuvering? By the way, love the bike. Can't wait to get home and wash it. The dealer did a lousy job cleaning it yesterday. Also, is there anything I should watch out for or be aware of related to the Venture?

Thanks for the information. I already do not like the stock tires, probably put about 90 miles on the bike yesterday, going to take a little getting use to.

I pick up my new 08 Venture this afternoon. Thanks for the help in my decision making process...we looked at a lot of bikes, kept coming back to this one. My only concern is the windshield and looking through it, getting a shorter one and then buffeting the wife. I'm sure we'll get through it. THANKS. WOO HOO!!!! As some of you know, I am currently shopping for a new bike and strongly considering the Venture. I have a couple of questions that would be great to get answers to. 1) I have heard that the 07's have some issues?? Is this true? Something about the electronics/CB/radio suddently quit working. There is a black 07 at at local dealer, but if I should focus on 08's, I have no problems with that. 2) Do you actually look through the windshield? If so, how do you deal with that in rain? (this would be my first touring bike, so looking through the windshield might be the norm..??) Thanks for the help.

I have been calling dealers today, I actually have a list of about 20 of them. What surprises me the most is the way the people talk to me on the phone....are they actually wanting to sell something, or get put on the list of dealers to never deal with again? I am in management and train sales people, and simply do not get that type of attitude...makes me think that if I opened a dealership I would get a lion share of the business....by the way, while most dealerships were closed Saturday, the wife and I went to a Harley dealer, parking lot was slammed packed, and the people were super friendly. If I were a Harley fan I would have bought an Ultra Glide on the spot.

Hello everyone. This is my first post on your forum and I am happy I found it. 3 weeks ago Friday I bought an 08 Boulevard C50T, now I am looking at getting an 08 Venture. (Didn't take us long to realize we bought the wrong bike). My wife loves to ride, and the Venture is hands down the most comfortable bike we have sat on. I had my mind set on a GoldWing until we went to a Honda / Yamaha dealer and had a chance to sit on both. I was surprised at the Venture...so now I am shopping for one. I could use your help in my search though. How much do Yamaha dealers usually come off of MSRP and what is a fair price? I know they list at around 17.5 range. Thanks for your help.
