  1. Wife and I are checked in at the inn, it'll be good to meet you all. Since joining this group I've wanted to attend one of these get togethers. Can't wait for may now.
  2. Here's some place to stop by, close to NYC, just north of Albany, NY. really nice affair, able to see every type of bike, buy all types of shiny chrome add-ons for bike, just one day would be worth it. I may attend freebirds, riding Rte, 20 across NY, from MA. both ways. Nice ride if you want to see the country side. Rte. 6 across PA. is nice too. Pa. dutch country is great too. I'd try to hit nigura falls outside Buffalo, NY. for sure. Check out Americade link here, next best thing to Daytona bike week with a much more milder crowd. http://www.tourexpo.com/data/
  3. We've been up there a few times, go to NH. for smokes once a month and always go a ride sometimes to the east , sometimes west, and make a day ride out of it. Went to Rutland in June up 5 then over. Will keep a eye out for ya next time thur.

NM, + Mexico, always have fond spot for Texas, went back in ' 01, meet up with 5 couples that spent that time with us, been alot of changes but it was good to see Texas again. In '09 we're meeting in Dallas and going to San Antonio for a get together. Wife + I are riding from MA. and plan to do alot of the state when everyone leaves. Can understand why you texans like it, my wife brings up how we should have stayed there. Can't wait to get back myself.
  10. Will those parts fit a 03 vstar classic, my wife and a guy at work both have classics.
  11. Got the tank unclogged, 81 honda cm400. was sitting since '84, all clogged up with tarnish + rust. unclogged petcock + tank with lauquer thinner soaking, got seaform now. My ??? is how do I use it to clean tank some more. I got 2 pint cans, should I mix it with anything or just put gas and seafoam in. I plan to reline the tank, any help is greatly needed.
  12. Got fuel to flow thur tank today. soaked petcock with thinner, drained tank and ran water under pressure into it, got all kinds of gok from it, thinner came out brown, going to let more thinner sit in it, then will do regular tank cleaner and reliner treatment. Will have to do carb cleaning too.
  13. Letting thinner soaking in now, thursday I'll look at it again, I like the shot cleaning idea, how do you use the tank relining stuff, its really dirty so it'll take a couple of shots I figure.
  14. Seafoam is that the brand name, who carries it, coleman fuel will that work. Do I need to let tank just sit with that stuff in it, empty and fill with gas? Or run it with stuff in tank.
  15. 81 Honda cm400t, been sitting since '84, inside has a tar look to it, gas doesn't drain from shutoff hole at all. even with shutoff valve off. Any help on cleaning inside of tank appreciated. Shoved rubber tube up the hole, must have inch of tar like stuff blocking hole. Anything I can put in tank to desolve that stuff?
  16. Pics from Rhinebeck, NY. bike show. Check out '32 Morgan 3 wheelers.
  17. One thing that I heard lately, XP is no longer sold separately as of 6-01-08, on new machines but not seperate. Also next year it won't be supported by Microsoft, no updates. As much as you may not want to, vista is going to be the only way. And that will be updated in a couple of years.
  18. Toshiba for brand, premium for vista, at least 2gbs. ram. They don't load a bunch of junk on it, best verison of vista for most, does use ram so 2 or 3 gbs. ram needed. Do not go cheap, $600 +- $50 is the norm for decent machine.
  19. We traced the problem to the fuel pump relay, bypassed the bike wires and went straight from the battery to pump and the bike starts fine. new relay on order.
  20. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, that is just what I'm looking for. Thanks again
  21. Can anyone help with a pdf. file on a 04 roadstar 1700. thanks
  22. For PA. rte. 6 is a nice ride, in NY. rte. 20 is a nice ride also Both are east/west roads and go across the states, they meet by Cleveland, OH. I've done both and enjoyed the rides.
  23. I used the adapter thing and got no tail lights, everything else fine, so I don't ride at night with the trailer.
  24. 39 years today for us, been all over, thur alot but wouldn't have it any other way. Everyone has their true mates, don't always meet them but they are out there.
  25. I for one visit this site daily, I've got many answers to my ???. It must be a great deal of work for freebird and cost so that we have this site and can use it as we please. So put a membership fee on it, and a yearly one to give freebird some working capital to take the burden off him. Freebird, you you know what you need, so come up with a ### and those of us that care will pay. You could limit access to non members, just my 2 cents.
