    I know there are other options but they all depend upon you talking all your Goldwing, Venture and Ultra Classic riding friends to buy new systems also and that's not likely to happen. The fact is, the CB is still the standard that comes on most older and new touring bikes. It is the best choice if a rider's main objective is to be able to communicate with most other riders.

    I think, and I may be wrong, that one of the key features that was requested was the ability to communicate with other riders. Most of these Bluetooth suggestions do not address that issue. The fact is, MOST riders that communicate with each other still use CB radios. If that is the case and you are looking for intercom between rider and passenger as well as the ability to talk to other riders in your group, I recommend the J&B CB/Intercom unit. Not the cheapest solution but in my opinion, probably the best solution.     A question was asked and I've left the simplest answer for all to see. I've removed all the other posts and will now close this thread. I had no problem with the explanations but it had sunk to the level of members going after each other.

    Folks, this sounds like an interesting product but please note that WildBill is a new trial member. I have just a bit of a problem with folks joining and then immediately trying to sell a product. Wildbill may be and probably is a great person but I just feel that people should at least become a supporting member before they start trying to sell things here. I'm still debating with myself or whether or not I should delete this thread. Your opinions are welcome.

    Well, before I replied to your post, I did a quick search and those are the prices that I found at http://www.partshark.com I didn't look anywhere else so they may be even cheaper elsewhere. The specific parts number for the I basket has been posted here before but I don't have it handy. Maybe your search found it or somebody else will join in and post it here.

    Sounds like he is giving you the run around. First of all, the clutch basket retails for about 250.00 and you can pick them up online for about 175.00. The second thing, is your bike still under warranty? If so, this should be a warranty issue. Many here have had them changed out under warranty. Third, it's crazy that he is telling you that when it comes in, it may not be an "I" basket. There is a specific part number for the "I" basket. He is correct in that it may or may not correct the problem but the majority of people have seen some improvement to a LOT of improvement.

    Well, I've been on the road since early this morning. It was working fine when I left this morning. I'm in a hotel in Rochester, NY now and it still seems OK from here.

    Doesn't do me a lot of good. Most of them that are near me are actually marinas and not at all convenient.
