  1. @saddlebum,,, sir you need to be corrected, I did not but those crimpy things at Walmart, I got them from Home Hardware, and yes I always considered them to be cheap and didn't do the job as a good tool would. Mighty happy to be the inheritor of your old crimp tool, even though I had to get the rheumatism out of it, but since then, I closely guard it's whereabouts, especially when you are around. Funny how a feller never has enough time to go get the proper tool when it's needed and can never remember to get one when he's at the store eh?
  2. Last time mowing coming up soon. Gonna be warm next few days so hopefully all the leaves will be down and dry. One more time and then the mower gets exchanged with the blower, and that needs to be tuned. Lovely changing of the seasons, can't find a better place to live.
  3. This thread is now locked.
  4. I had to give this some thought, and had to re-read what it was that was posted. I think it could be two-fold. One is that politics has no place here, and it would not be hard to inject some political thoughts into the discussion and hence delete this whole thread. I do have to compliment those involved, on staying mostly out of that arena, although I bet there may have been some erasing done before posting. Two, would the discussion on how the whole Covid situation is being dealt with, or not, what effect it has, or has not, how it might or might not have an effect on the lives of humans. This could also get political very quickly but maybe more importantly was leading to 'direct debating' , if I may call it that. That is the prime reason for my suggestion to 'address the chair', if for no other reason that to keep us away from biting at each other. Three,, I know, I said two, but I couldn't possibly keep this short,,, eh @saddlebum. Folks on North side of the border have the opportunity to watch what's going on with your side. We are not actually involved, we don't have to live with the consequences as you do. I didn't say it doesn't effect us, it will somehow, but we have no real say in the matter, so it's a different ball game for us. We get our info by the News and what ever else we decide to watch or listen to. As with all reporting, there is a slant and we will remember more easily the slant that supports our own thinking rather than any slants that do not. Personally, I do not envy the decision that Americans have/had to make. Sure is good to know that there is a Power that overlooks all this, and that nothing can happen without His knowledge.
  5. If I might be so bold as to speak for somebody else??????? I got me a feeling that words may have been produced and typed out that would cause the penalty box door to open, and that was not what the author was looking for as a result. And should that have happened ,, well,,,,,, POOF!
  6. Take a deep breath gentlemen. Respond if you will, but before you post, re-read your dialogue Please.!! Some of this is good to share, but lets keep it in the flavour of sharing. Give out info if you will, but anymore personal pointers and things go POOF!!!! Let's just put a new rule in place. When posting to this thread, or any thread like it.... speak to the chair, not the individual. Sound fair? Lets see how that works.
  7. 2010, Rally in Indiana, Potato Creek I think.
  8. Comeon Fool,, don't let him get away with it,send him some to make him 'happy'
  9. Acch, don't worry about it so much. Just click on some buttons and see what roads it takes you done,, kind of like motorcycle riding somewhat more or less. And don't worry about breaking something, if it does break and the whole site goes down,, nobody will know. Nah, not to worry about that either, there is nothing YOU can do to make that happen,,,,,I don't think,, well if it could happen it would have broke long ago, with me fooling around here.
  10. @Flyinfool did done do it today, shot that whitewasher all the way across the lake and land to cover my grass. Nice job @Flyinfool!!! Now the rest of you guys get ready for your shot. This was only a practice, to make sure it works alright. Picture may not be the best, but it's dark out here. The white you see was green a couple of hours ago. So much for summer!!
  11. I don't remember ever walking into somebody's place with my own coffee in hand, that would be quite rude, and I may be rude but not 'quite',,, so I would come with no coffee in hand,,, soooo,,, does whose coffee would I be drinking when I'm there???,, And when did I ever leave coffee not consumed? Which side of the bed did you get up on this morning?
  12. Seems to me like you are saying you serve substandard coffee... maybe that's why my cup comes already loaded?
  13. Check post #9 above. Maybe some still have to add theirs.
  14. Sure will be interesitng,,,,, are you done yet?
  15. Yah sure!!! why call anymore, found out that bringing your own coffee is faster and easier. No longer have to answer questions about this, that, and everything else, annnnd It's ready whenever I get there!!! Thanks Bum, for answering the phone!
  16. Ford might, but I don't think the party will, but that's just my opinion. Fancy foot, has been dancing, but he is also held to account a bit, yep, minority might not be so bad for a while. Covid? now there is another story, but I see it a 2 separate camps. Those in the country and the city/urban. Country folks (even small towns and small cities) have much more to entertain themselves than those who live in large cities, Hence I think, there is a much heavier case count in the urban areas. The death toll in the older population is much higher than in the younger set, and that is understandable, older are not as resistant anymore and have other complications that have been already making a mark, and we group them together in one massive housing unit which this virus seems to take advantage of. So I wonder, and I wonder some more.
  17. I can see clearly now, the,,,,,,,,,
  18. The middle gear cover looks like the center has been pushed out. The cam looks like it might have had too much heat, referring to the 'brown' triangles. Other than that I didn't pickup anything untoward. Now on the coolant leakage? Pull the heads, and I would go the whole gambit, everthing! if you are planning on fixing this one. Maybe a lot cheaper to score another one, but maybe not half as much fun. This one is going to set you back and lonnng ways.
  19. Thanks for trying to give us a choice. I don't mind if you take some time off now.
  20. Was there supposed to be a link?
  21. That works just fine
  22. Lucky sock!!! Enjoy it to the fullest.
  23. Love it Boss, had no problems like some old guys on this board. When I got on and seen the HOME PAGE,, it was woowwwwwsie douusie. Love that picture!!!!
  24. Easy enough from my looking in. Grab a carb making sure that it is install ready, so, no open ports, tape off the bottom (the part that goes into the boot or manifold), make sure it's sealed well, now slowly pour water down the throat and see where it comes out. The throat being the air intake part that is usually at the top. Now when the test is done, you could just turn it upside down to drain or you could punch a weeee little hole in the tape, and time how long that takes. Just a pin hole eh!?! Wanta keep you busy for a bit.
  25. Hate to pick sides here @Patch, but I can see @saddlebumpoint and theory. Makes more sense to me, but then I mostly work under a maple.
