Y'all Ya'all can help out, if you are of such a mind
Marcarl replied to Marcarl's topic in Watering Hole
All good so far, new valve is in, at least so I was told and they are missing one in the inventory, so all is good. Thanks for your assistance, sure is nice to have others have your back. Marca presently sleeping it off and getting aquainted with the new part. -
Marca, my present wife for 50 years is headed to the hospital tomorrow to get a new valve implanted into her heart. The present valve has been a bit of a issue since day one, but it now has got to a point of needing to do something about it. So tomorrow is the day and she hopes I will pick her up on Thursday again. So a little help would be a loving thing to do for her,,, and me.

Maybe if you raise the floorboards a bit the handles wont be such a pain. To resize the pictures, resize before you post. There's an app for that somewhere on line.

Guessing there is no major rush to get all this accomplished, seeing as we will be sitting at home pouting about how much white stuff we have or haven't, why the temperature keeps staying so low when we don't have any snow anyways, and how we could possibly get together to do this work and yet stay put at home. It could be a real puzzle for sure, wonder if there are any manuals out there to figure this all out, maybe with a schematic.

Glad to hear that the prayers have an effect. Thanks to all for holding Earl and Jean up in your prayers. Blessings to you two as you enter a new phase in your life and make adjustments to deal with another part of imperfection.

One is ready, two for the road?

Put your first love on the back of that sofa, take her for an easy ride through some country roads, and her tune might just change a bit,,, I know mine did!!

I guess and am guessing, but the decision was to keep it at the same week as we had this year, but the powers that be keep moving the calendar dates around so each year a new decision needs to be made. It will move only one day dates this year, to July 15th thru 18th.

Need some Opinions. Tour Deluxe
Marcarl replied to suddd123's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
There is an old saying, although I don't think it was from a Chinaman. You ride on a Honda, but you ride in a Yamaha. -
Use them for more than MC, they are a handy piece.
-
I got 2 of those.

We will present Earl's case to the Great Physician, and keep you in our prayers as well. May He look kindly on you two and give the blessings that you need at this time.

Yep, them booties are not cheap!
-
Checked with Brantford Motorcycle, not cheap either. $50 for gaskets and $18 for rubbers. This whole process is not something you would want to do on a monthly basis, well not even yearly.
-
OK, now I seed it! Thanks Bum!!
-
Yah??? wait til you see my door rate,,,, I just fixed it not too long ago.

I look funny enough without them, and I really have enough radio crap flying around and into me already.

Don't see the traditional XXX on the bottle. Is this a new type to accommodate our new life style?

T’was a month before Christmas, And all through the town, People wore masks, That covered their frown. The frown had begun, Way back in the Spring, When a global pandemic Changed everything. They called it Corona, But unlike the beer, It didn’t bring good times, It didn’t bring cheer. Contagious and deadly, This virus spread fast, Like a wildfire that starts, When fueled by gas. Airplanes were grounded, Travel was banned, Borders were closed, Across air, sea and land. As the world entered lockdown, To flatten the curve, The economy halted, And folks lost their verve. From March to July, We rode the first wave, People stayed home, They tried to behave. When summer emerged, The lockdown was lifted, But away from caution, Many folks drifted. Now it’s November, And cases are spiking, Wave two has arrived, Much to our disliking. Frontline workers, Doctors and nurses, Try to save people, From riding in hearses. This virus is awful, This COVID-19, There isn’t a cure, There is no vaccine. It’s true that this year, Has had sadness a plenty, We’ll never forget, The year 2020. And just ‘round the corner, The holiday season, But why be merry ? Is there even one reason ? To decorate the house, And put up the tree, When no one will see it, No-one but me. But outside my window, The snow gently falls, And I think to myself, Let’s deck the halls ! So, I gather the ribbon, The garland and bows, As I play those old carols, My happiness grows. Christmas ain’t cancelled, And neither is hope, If we lean on each other, I know we can cope. By: Shawna Hickling, Calgary, AB, Canada

Not all that generous really, I have this shop to work in, and the tools to do the work, all costing me nothing extra. It needs to be used to earn it's keep, and if somebody supplies the coffee then it's 'money in the bank' so to speak. It may not be much I suppose, but it's more than double of what I got yesterday.
-
So,,, got a supply of shims, got a warm place all picked out, gaskets are coming from Earl? now WHO supplies the coffee? and oh, got us and extra meckanick in the process.
-
You should not have retired!!!!!!!! Weren't you told that by a great number of experienced out-of-workers. You should have listened more closer.
-
I;m thinking that a variety of shims should not be that un-attainable, so if you have the tool and the gaskets, it all should work out. I will look after getting a variety of shims and a warm place to work. Only room for 2 bikes at a time.

It seems to be that the government has changed the rules somewhat. 5 deg c used to be quite ride-able, but since the change of who's in charge a few years ago it seems that 5 deg c is somewhat colder, fact is, it's too cold for me to ride. Time we get somebody in charge who could fix that.
