Hey!! Thanks for your input. The real issue here, the one that broke the camels back was that Niagara Shores wanted\needed a definite head count much earlier than expected, either on our part or their part. We were to have until June 15th to complete the booking, but they were turning down lots of business for the week already. We could not assure them that we would fulfill our ideas and they are in the position of having to scrape every available dollar that they could,,,, and seeing as this covid thing is such a moving target, I had to pull the plug. Yes a committee might be a way to go and I'm open to ALL ideas and volunteers. I don't even need to be a boss or leader or head. All good conversation, carry on.

I could put some coffee on and then we can chew the fat.

If you would only quit attracting the ultimate weather you might enjoy what we can send you.

Thought you were dizzy to start with?

Don't know about the burger anymore, @saddlebum, @sleepy2, @xv1100se and others have been around here. They looked kind of hungry and in need of nourishment so it was time to look for some fodder for those poor underfed beings. Did find some burgers but the boys didn't eat them, don't know what happened, so give me lots of notice before you sneak over border so I can have some well aged ready for you.

You could also use methyl hydrate, it absorbs water and is normally called gas-line antifreeze, but a whole lot cheaper if you buy it by the gallon.

Final Drive Oil Leak - '99 RSV
Marcarl replied to BratmanXj's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Don't think that would come from over tightening, if I'm not mistaken torque is 100 ft lbs so things won't get together any closer than that. -
Been following you on this thread. What a bummer!! but glad to hear you are both OK. Blessings!!

Achh, just take out the screw and the oil will come, it'll be in a hurry so get ready to catch it. Be done with that in the matter of seconds rather than hours. When one side is done, put the screw back in, add a little air and do the other side. Ice cream bucket does the trick. -
In this day and age you blame me for being an informant? Really? Do you carry your cell phone with you? I know mine doesn't track me, but does yours track you? At least I don't think my tracks me, I told it not to, but sometimes these things have a mind of their own.

Ever wonder what your lovely, wonderful spouse might be up to when you are out gallivanting around? She does have a phone of her own, has my phone number, and sometimes even knows where I'm at. She knows how to talk and text and keep a close eye on that husband of hers so that he don't get into too much trouble and has enough time get get back home to look at the list, that way he knows he is still needed for something at least.

Just be careful with the throttle, once you twist it to open you'll find it very hard to close again,,,, unless you need fuel or something to eat, then it closes just fine.

I did that once, now to see if I remember how I fixed it. I did not take the cam out, but if I recall I decided that the bucket must have been pushed down at an angle, so the trick would be to straighten out the angle. So with something that will work (punch?) tap the bucket on the high side to put it back straight. Once it straightens it should pop back up from the spring pressure under it. Careful now, go easy.

Wish you would have said something before, I got 1 car, 1 truck and 1 bike to wash. Could have arranged that pretty nice.

Iffin that scooter wants to lay down, she's gonna do just that, best not try to stop her for she will wreck havoc with your frame and tail.. Like Ben said, give it some practice time and things will improve. One thing that might helpful for you would be to trim a bit out of the height and sides of foam on the seat, one inch can make a huge difference, another would be to reposition the handle bars so they are lower and not to wide out, and if you remove the trunk you'll also decrease the top heaviness.

DUTCHMAN!!!! YOU could have brought the donuts!!!!! I'm sure @XV1100SEwould have been very appreciative. And @sleepy2 might have helped in keeping them warm as well. Anyways though, the fact that you did show up for a while was much enjoyed, even though you had ulterior motives, such as the honey due list you mentioned.

Yep, we had a good time. Last year we had the fun of making 3 bikes into one, that took a while. This year with 2 bikes we only ended up with two. Wonder what will happen next.
