    Let me add that if you downshift at too high RPM's, the rear tire can break loose....Especially if you are doing it at a time when you need to stop fast. ie...a cager pulling out in front of you. You should kearn to downshift and apply the brakes at the same time.. You WILL stop faster... Nuff said...

    Don't forget to blip your throttle to give a few more RPM's to your engine. This will give you a smoother downdhift once you learn how to do it....

    According to Al Harper, the I basket change out is a one shot deal. Then you have a choice of keeping the new one installed, or they will put your old one back in for free... I think one thing that made a difference was using the Yamaha semi synthetic oil as suggested by Al.....

    I trimmed the front on mine and used 2 sided tape to hold it. Mine also did not align perfectly with the holes/slots, but with a little finessing it will fit...

    Geico will insure accessories over $1000.00 , but you have to request it. When I did mine, I asked the woman if she needed a list of items. She said no, BUT, take lots of pics of your bike with those accessoris on it. I ajve $2200.00 in accessoris in my bike, and thats what they are insured for....

    Eat lots of food, drink lots of beer...BUT... exercise. That is the only thing that will take weight off regardless what diet/food regime you are on. If you read the fine print, they all say " with proper exercise " :D:D

    I just tried to post some pics and it said I could not because a security token was missing. Anybody ever have this problem????

    If your bike is setting for long periods, and you don't close the fuel petcock, gas can leak from the carb bowls, past the rings and into the oil. That is why they have a fuel shutoff petcock....

    Mine was changed out. It was really loud. The regional rep was at the dealer and he told them to change it out. He also told me to use Yamaha semi synthetic oil. He offered to pay for the oil. Much less noise than before... Nice gut to deal with. His name is Al Harper...

    Try this...Ask your grandkids if they want to play leapfrog... They won't have any idea as to what you are talking about. And when you explain it to them, they have a hard time understanding it...
