  1. It's a V-Twin. No thanks.
  2. I've been several times to the one at the Iron Horse Saloon in Daytona. Bikes and go karts but not cars. That's crazy. I like it! Ken

  5. That backrest was on my '06 Midnite Venture when I bought it. It looks good and works very well from my perspective. It does sort of prevent the use of a one piece replacement seat as the entire backrest would have to be removed in order to remove the seat. Other than that, I would recommend the backrest highly. http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w58/Ken3233/IMG_0275.jpg Ken
  6. C'mon. Not a fan, eh? It's the only way I can tell mine from all the other RSV's at the . . . . oh, . . . nevermind. I do look forward to that next meet.

  12. I'll be there tomorrow at 9:00 AM with the Chicago Cruisers club. Vest with club patch on the back and Star patch in front. Approach with caution. Ken
  13. Thanks for the feedback Ruffy. I've been sensitive to the overfilling issue so I'm convinced it is the gasket. There is no way the dealer is working on my bike for this type of issue so I'll follow up when I've replaced the gasket. Ken
  14. I have oil collecting at the top of the left rear cylinder just below the chrome cover. I thought it was only occurring while running, but the bike has been sitting in the garage since Dec. 7th at which time I cleaned it thoroughly. While installing a Speed Bleeder and changing my clutch fluid over the weekend, I found oil there again. On the car I'd suspect a valve cover gasket. Do I have a valve cover gasket or similar on my RSV? Suggestions welcome. Ken
  15. I've been using the Shell Rotella-T synthetic forever. Actually marketed as a diesel engine oil. Certainly not motorcycle specific. $19.00 a gallon at Wal-Mart. 49,000 Miles on my '06 RSMV and countless miles on my former bikes, Valkyrie, Intruder, Magna. Never a clutch slip or oil related issue of any kind . . . so far. Ken

  17. I have the Garmin StreetPilot 2730 with integrated XM. Hooks into the bike audio system AUX connection and provides spoken directions as well as MP3 and XM (with Traffic and Weather). Touch screen and easy to access buttons for gloved fingers. I really like this unit. Have had it for 3 years. Downside: No internal battery. This unit must be plugged in at all times. Ken
  18. I purchased my '06 RSMV on August 1, 2007 with 4,950 miles. Today, it shows 47,405. That's 42,455 miles in 26 months. And that's in Chicago with a somewhat abbreviated riding season (though I take advantage of "bonus days" all winter). Does that put me in the "Ride much?" category? Ken p.s. I love this bike.
  19. The fact that silver/grey is popular for cars and trucks highlights just one thing. People are lazy. We all know that those color automobiles never really look dirty because they are the color of road film. Period. Those folks who take pride in their vehicles, even though they know it will require more vigilant upkeep, inevitably buy the fastest color. BLACK Rules!
