  2. Thanks guys, I also use many tools and hands are important to my work. I have been having trouble for some time but thought it was old age. I will do what is asked I hope
  3. Ive seen and heard the words before but didn't know anything about it till now. Ever since I got back from SD my 2 middle fingers on my right had are numb. My doc wants to send me for surgery . Anybody have it done , was it worth it and what was your down time . I was going to wait but was told you can get permanent damage.
  4. It runs very well . This is my thrid F150 since 2006. I just sold a 2009 that had 22,000 on it with the 5.4. It was a great truck that had no issues. This one has the 6.2 with 411 hp and 434 lb.tq. They come with every toy you can think of. Im not sure about the low profile tires yet but they are growing on me . I looked at putting some bigger tires on it but a 22" tire is very expensive and you dont have a lot of options. By the way it will roast the tires .

    Lotto

I will play too. Man the toys we all could buy...........
  6. Been xmas shopping at the HD shops. My wife really likes their cloths. High quality at a high price I tell her. She really came around with this new bike and has taken an interest in my riding. Im glad after 30 years on the road. Did you guys know that some Harleys have four wheels ? After a month of bickering with my salesperson at my local Ford dealer and a counrty search I bought a new truck. First time they were offered in white.
  7. You still have the one you took down from Mi
  8. My old buddy Charlie was starting stuff...... no way . Hey Charlie go by a HD and see how your treated. wow. Now all I can do is post negative stuff to keep the truth of what people think you turn into with owning one. Good to hear your doing alright.
  9. Cutting there own throats just like the Detriot News did. No fan here either , my dad was a union man(Asbestos Local) and he always said unions are for lazy people. They had their time. I have a lot of UAW in the family and used to listen to them brag about how much money they would make . Stories of sleeping and only working 4 hours and getting paid for 12 . Thats why companys go broke .
  10. Maybe the 2013 Venture will come with a box or two.
  11. Like I said in Eck's thread, the bagger is in and everybody wants a piece of the action.
  12. and the fight to which color to use. Im done waiting for them , but for the few that keep saying next year they are going to do something. Sooner or later your going to be able to say I told you so.
  13. Yea I bought a Mustang solo seat . I like the look of the fender showing. I also bought a brand new take off RGU fender with all the lights . Winter project when I do the stage 2 kit. I believe that rack system will snap right on this system. My wife in the picture says she will just take this one . I dont think so.
  14. Great post there BJ, I dont think you left anything out. When I bought my Ultra I liked the looks of the Custom better but for the long trips the Ultra was the right bike so I did spend the extra money to have the option. Your right about the cost but its like having two bikes and it only takes a few minutes to convert. The one thing you left out is the antennas on the Utra . I had to buy a in the fairing antenna for the Radio and CB. Im trying to talk my wife into letting me buy her a RGC to ride but she's not sure as of yet.
  15. Hey Larry , sorry to hear about your accident. Hope your feeling better. That 2005 RSV was no luck for you I think. Glad you picked a different one.
  16. I agree 100% . They are very smart. They are still making money on an old design. They would have to paint the new ones anyways so why not pick a new color. Again I just like a change once in a while .
  17. In terms of Technological advancement, the Yamaha carbureted V4 still meets emissions requirements without a catalytic converter. Can't be that outdated. The HD with FI and all its Tech advancements, needs a catalystic converter and they need to shut down a cylinder at idle to keep it from overheating. That's change I don't need. Just my 2 cents. One of the reasons Yamaha cant change anything is the fact that its old tech. They are liked Grandfathered in . If they change any motor design they will have to bring it to todays emission standards. The new Yamahas with efi do have converters. It sure is nice to not worry about a choke. Again ,do your reading . The back cylinder on the new HDs drop out at high temps for rider comfort not for over heating reasons. Mine has never dropped out yet. They call it parade mode.
  18. Are you kidding, do a little digging into the last 20 years . Many motor upgrades along with fuel tanks , fuel systems , trans , sound systems , frame upgrades and frame sizes. wheel size and brakes to name a few. Thats not just HD thats all other brands. Its a shame because I would of bought a total made over Venture if they did it.
  19. I was just wondering about you the other day, Im glad to see the decision is looking good.
  20. I like mine and im happy with my choice so far. Hey Eck get up here and take mine for a spin . If Im not on it your more than welcome to it.
  21. What a great thread, I was really getting ready to give up on this site that Ive loved for so many years. I have made life long friends here and keep in touch with them. They have no problem with my new HD( right Don haha ). I was on a Yamaha product for the last 10 years 1st and 2nd gens and was ready for some of the new tech thats available now a days that yamaha seems to think there customers dont want or need. I love my RGU and has been the most comfortable and smoothest riding bike Ive ever owned. Sure at idle it shakes but it is smoother than my 04 was on the eway. I was ready for a change. My best friend and riding partner Big Mike that some of you know just bought a 2010 Ultra. He also spent many years on a Yamaha . When we were in Sturgis a couple of weeks ago in some high winds his tour pak opened at 75 mph on I90 and forced him off the road and he crashed in the medium . Got banged up pretty good. The bike had little damage which I was real surprised. I seen a couple RSVs just fall over from park and do more damage. He is back in the saddle again and feeling good. I was going to post this in the open forum but lately I feel it would just brought on some comments about him being on an HD. Im glad to see some of the original guys that were here at the beginning of this site with me are still here and have good things to say .
  22. :rotf:
  23. We charge 227.00 . 175.00 for the motor and labor and a 52.00 service call . Im low in the area but we stay very busy.
  24. I do get it, but in my business if someone dont like our price there is 20 more companys to choose from that can beat my prices. Gasoline is a monopoly.
  25. Sears sells a nice one. I had a red one when I was 2 . You might get an even trade for a few 1st gens.
