I wanted to commit on this thread but not let this go either. I myself was going to be a police officer at one time, I had a job offering in a city called Inkster in Michigan. ( not a good town at all). I had a couple friends that were killed in the line of duty there back in the 80's at a hotel for trying to pick up a lady for writing bad checks at a Danny's food store. When this happened my wife spent some time with me talking me out of the trade. These people have a tuff job and need room to do there work. RIP guys.
As for the expense of riding , I think the classes are great and should be mandatory for everyone thats going to be on the road with a motorcycle. As far as cost you Canucks should start a protest because the cost to ride is BS.
I would own another one if they would change it, and it wasnt a made in America crack it was more like made in Michigan crack. and the Ford pickups are made in his hood.
It's sad that this is not true , I loved my 04 but I wouldn't buy a brand new 04 for 20000+ when I paid 15000 brand new for the same bike. I'm not tring to belittle the RSV I'm just still pissed that they haven't upgraded the thing.
I think HD makes the nicest riding gear out there and it is pricey I always wanted to buy it but thought I would get crap for being on a RSV. I have always used there boots. go to the swap meets and bike shows if you want to see cheap leather.
I don't get these kind of threads, that could be someone from here. So even if the person looks like a stereo type HD rider in your eyes and is on your choice of bike he ain't right. I had my Midnight pimped out to the max and heard a lot of nice things about it. I also have the leather to go with it. I play golf at least three times a week during the season . I have a very nice set of Callaway clubs and a bag to match, nice shoes and some golf attire to boot so is it wrong for me to look like this when I'm not in the PGA.
He probably couldnt afford a Roadglide or an Electric Glide so he bought a cheap copy.
I was surprised at the price on them new ones, I always buy new but thats me. I would not buy a Venture for 20000+ when you can get a much nicer bike for that money, well maybe a little more ,HD, Goldwing, BMW, Victory
Well Dan we did a good job of tring to hijack this thread but it didn't work . Don just keeps getting back on track.
p.s. better make that a white towel so you can use it to surrender with . ha ha
well the roadglide is at 112 hp with 122 tq now with the 777 woods cams and big bore kit done which is more than any venture , and when its gets to the dyno the numbers will improve. Thats 107ci which is 1753 cc's 453 more than you got. I have two coffee can size pistons now instead of the four baby food jars a venture has , thats how:rotf:
I know already that the harley you had 20 years ago would
blow mine away:stirthepot:
I never realized how old my company was around here. Pretty soon we will have to change the name to "Venturetrike.org."
One saddle bag for clean diapers and one for soiled ones, tour pack for oxygen and all the scrips. I will stay in the front of that group ride. whew
wait wait wait, you buy your wife a gazebo and get a free pass on something to make you happy everyday and now we are giving my bike away. Wow, and you said you cant figure out women.
I think I know the place, I can just drive by and throw them out the window. Its only about 2 hours away. They would make great driveway markers over there. Thats a good size driveway so we probably need a couple hundred. Aw I can see it now and if you could put lights on each one .
Thats what I cant figure out, Im not a pack rat so Im not sure why I dont just put them in the garbage can. I do like Ecks idea I will send them to him. haha
Im going to buy some new helmets this year and im wondering what to do with the old ones. I think I have 5 or 6 that I dont use . Has anyone found a good home for their old ones. Maybe some cool flower pots or soup bowls.
Finally a bike for short guys , a bunch could benefit on this site from that. I know another short joke but I really got about 20 guys with short man syndrome going last Summer.
heres some pics. We worked till 2 a.m. Friday night and 1 a.m. last night. A few more to come today to make some finale adjustments and clean up.
Well I will get the pictures up later even the pictures from my phone are to big , but the owner of this site still listens to cassette tapes so why not.
