It would be great if everyone attending the ride to St. Jude Children's Hospital would wear a VentureRider shirt or hat or both while we are visiting the hospital. I hope to see some extra faces there that havent posted about attending...only 2 days to go.............

As most of you may already know I had a little accident with my bike on Oct 12, 2007 after surgery on my ankle. The ortho doc gave me a photo of my ankle with the plate and screws. I hope this won't be too distasteful to see. i have added a couple pics of the bikes damage

Back on June 10th a drunk driver made a left turn across Hwy 61 and killed a Bloomington, MN couple on their motorcycle. The drunk (at 0.20 BAC) is now being charged with 6 counts of vehicular manslaughter and other charges. He is looking at 10 years per homicide charge. Let's hope for the max. http://www.twincities.com/localnews/ci_7231041 It is about time that serious charges and jail time get handed down for killing people while driving drunk.

I am concerned that I have not seen or heard from Mike or Tina since the tail of the dragon ride at Vogel I have PM'D them but have no reply and it has not been read. :confused24:The last time they were on line was Sept 6 or 7. I hope everything is ok and if any one has seen or talked to them can they let me know. Thanks John

well i am finally able to get back on and see how everyone is doing. i had a major computer crash and had to buy a new one so that and several other problems has kept me off the site for a while now. it is good to be back among friends and i hope all are doing well. i do need to say what a good time tina and i had at vogel. sorry we had to leave a little early. a special thanks to lewis and charlene for another fun time had by all. i hope everyone made it home safe. well i have a ton of catching up to do so i am going to get to it. ride safe everyone mike

Honest I did. I was in Cadillac watching the sun come up over the hills and the fog racing across the grass as to try to get away from the sun. The temp was in the low 60's and my daughter and me (jessie) we in a small enclosed camo hut in our lawn chairs waiting for the sight that would make our hearts race and our bodies start to shake....This was the opening day of Michgan Youth Hunt. with the sun cutting across the hills and the tempature starting to rise we were able to see what we had sighted in the gun for but he was to far away. With in a few minutes what we saw 2 fields away was walking right toward our blind. so with camera in my had and a 30/30 in my daughter hand she was able to take her first buck!!!!!!!!!All though this was only a spike he was still in full velvet. So the girls weekend out hunting proved to be a great weekend. We had only left yesterday and we are home tonight and the deer is at the processor .and the video to show to us..... i think it was father and daughter ride night. i went up to Hagens restaurant for their thursday night bike ride in with my daughter. who shows up but TFD69 in between one of his many rides, showed up with his daughter also. then who rolls in but Chubaka, i mean Chubicheka, great to see you again. then there are a couple of 1st gens that roll in, a gold 85 and a black 83. i gave the father and son the web site and hope to see them on here. there were also a couple of v-maxxes and i was suprised how well we got along and had many things to talk about. great night, great food, hope all got home okay. cheers, Scott

Anyone got any sugestions where I could find a deal on a used starter for an 88 1300? The bikes got nearly 156,000 miles so I don't want to spend $400+ on a new one, or $200+ for a rebuilt. I hope to find a good used one from a salvage yard for about $100+ anyone got any sugestions for a good yard that might have one. or perhaps a self rebuild solution? Needed ASAP JEFF
