I did a search & found nothing about hand guards. Has anyone here put them on their RSV? I have a Clearview Shield coming soon, does this better protect the hands from the cold winter wind? Thanks.

On my new Venture when I have the audio coming through the headsets I can still hear the music on the rear speakers. Even when I have a headset plugged in the back it has sound coming out of it (in esense both the speakers and helmet.) It it very soft and no major deal but it does not seem right. The front speakers for not have this issue. Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? -
What kind of jacket(s) and other riding garments do you own? Why do you like them? What are their weaknesses? Any tips on who to buy from and what to buy? Christmas is coming and I am sure this information will be useful to us all.

After reading the recent post concerning all the toy recalls I guess it just makes me mad that all this stuff is coming to light all of a sudden. I mean, how long has this went on and we're just now finding out there's a problem? Doesn't that seem kind of odd? Is there no regulations saying that we need to be checking these things when they come into our country? As someone pointed out we can't directly control what is made overseas, but we certainly can do spot checks once it gets onto our soil. I also take some of the responsibility because I never once questioned the safety of paint and such in the chinese made toys I know I have bought for my kids and now my grand kids over the years. Last year I did buy my one grandkids a set of Lincoln Logs. He still builds things with them. He's found out you don't have to have a battery powered toy in order to have fun. As a grandpa I think I'll just determine in my own heart to go back to simpler toys for the kids this year and in the coming years. It's time I become responsible for my own actions and not get pulled into the advertising hype that tells us the only good gifts are the electrical ones that come from wherever. she was not going to stop. After spending several hours moving millions of leaves to the side of the road for leaf pickup, I decided to take a little ride and enjoy the mid 60's degree day. About three miles from the house I was on a nice back road going about 40mph and as I came to a slight rise in the road that has a road coming out from my right just over the top of the hill, I noticed the top half of a car coming toward the intersection. I immediately slowed down and just as I crested the hill, the car blew thru the stop sign and turned toward me. I layed down on the air horns and let them blast. If I had not anticipated the car doing that, I would have hit it right in the driver's door. I think I startled the woman as she almost ran into the ditch on the other side of the road trying to get out of my way. I am real glad I was paying that close attention, because she sure was not. What kinds of things that drivers do to really irritate you. I'll start it off with a couple of things that bug me. I'm riding down the 4 lane in the dark and a car passes me and pulls right back into my lane. I can no longer see dead animals and alligators in the road. Why don't they just wait to pull over until they are further ahead as long as they don't have somebody riding their tail. I'm coming up to an intersection in heavy traffic. Car pulls up, stops, and then starts easing forward. Well if he thinks he is going to shoot the gap behind me he probably just lost his chance because I am going to think he's coming out in front of me and slow down. I have to assume he's coming because previous experience says so. Maybe if we can come up with enough of these maybe we can send them in to some magazine and get them published where the car drivers can see them. -
Hello All, I have a 07 midnight venture and am ready for my 3rd service and I am considering going to Amsoil. People around home have been saying good things 'bout Amsoil and I am wondering what you all think of synthetic oils in your rides, especially Amsoil??? Another concern is Yamaha's warranty with using Amsoil. My dealer just told me that Yamaha is coming out with a total synthetic oil within the month or so. Any input would be appreciated, especially from you all that have been using the synthetics. Thanks, Sarge414 "Ride Always and Always Ride Safe!!!!"

Buying A HDTV or Plasma 32'' - 37" Flat screen been looking at some like Sony - Phillips - Sam sung Etc Etc. Hard to pick one So I'm asking you guys which ones to stay away from and which ones to look at. Looking at long term like 20yrs ha ha. Will be getting one this coming weekend for myself I been wanting one for some time but never had the money and know that I do I been looking around

After having a some experiance on 2008 Roadking I gotta say I'm impressed. Thier new motor the 96 cube is smooth and the bike accelerates well. Looks like they are getting thier act together. Coming out with Hydraulic clutches, 2nd Gen ABS, 6 gal fuel tank, and 6 speed tranny. Thier stereos sound good, I gotta hand it to them they are coming around. Still need liquid cooling. Now if they put that Vrod motor in thier bikes.

For those of you who don't know, we are having a meeting Wednesday Sept. 19, 2007 at 7:30p.m. to discuss and organize for the 2008 VentureRider Rally being held in Kitchener. There is much to do and the clock is ticking. First of all, can those that are coming please let me know here. Our original plan was to meet at the Horton's on Hwy 8 at Sportsworld Drive. That location isn't really conducive to holding a meeting with much more then a handful of people and I assume we will have more then that. Once I know how many people are coming, I may move the meeting to somewhere nearby that can offer us more space. Secondly, I would suggest we need to form a committee to organize this event. We should establish that committee ASAP, I suggest the majority of it's members come Ontario, and then after that is established, seek a few other members (perhaps with similar experience) from the club who can/want to assist. If there are any Ontario members that cannot attend Wednesday's meeting and are seriously interested in sitting on this committee, either let me know here or send me a PM or email.

Me and a few other fella's are going to be camping out at the Brandywine campground near the West Virginia / Virginia border ....Anyone have any idea of some nice twisties in the area ? Were leaving this coming Thursday morning and not coming back until probably Monday. Finally getting a chance to try out my new Bivy tent, sleeping bag, and a new LED lantern I just got....

Riding through Arcade, NY with some friends today I saw a blue first gen parked outside a company whose name began with a "K". Told my self to try to remember the name, but it's just not coming to me. Who was it?

I took my '05 venture to the shop for the factory supplied front light bar to be repaired and the shop manager told me that the problem was a factory defect as he handed me a bill for $175.00. The bike is paid for so I paid the bill. I believe they saw me coming from a ways off. Do you suppose I have any recourse? appreciate your thoughts:confused24:
