  2. Ponch, I just wanted to tell you I really appreciated what you did, taking a trip to make sure my Mom and sisters were OK!! OK....so what kind of cheesecake do you want when we go to Houston for Christmas this year!? I owe you BIG!!
  3. I'm home alone tonight so I looked in the freezer to see what was in there and I swear we could eat for a year without shopping. I found a few meat pies (Tourtière) that Leslie and I made so I put one in the oven. Boy did that hit the spot and bring back lots of memories too. When my mom died in 1995 Leslie took on the job of baking the meat pies every Christmas. Last year (2006) we made 30. A lot are given to family and friends but I still have a couple left. When they're gone they're gone but I will enjoy every bite and think of the time spent with Leslie stirring the pot while she made the pie shells. I need to look a little more and see if there's any fruit cake left in there...LOL. We made that every Christmas too. I have never had any as good as her's.

  10. Okay my friends. Seeing that the bulk of our members live in the northern hemisphere and are hours behind the rest of the world, I think it's time I chimed in to wish you all a Merry Christmas (MC) from Down Under (DU). The big fat fella in the red suit has been and gone and there are reindeer droppings all over the front lawn. My wife and I have had a great morning with the entire family doing the pressies thing, and right now #1 son is finishing off preparing a baked dinner for Christmas lunch. As I type it's approaching 2pm on Christmas day, and we have lots left yet to do. Sun down is around 8:10pm and about then it will be time for our next BBQ dinner in the garden. Ah, summer! So as you wake and begin to share your day with your loved ones, and have a quick look at the website, let me wish you all a fantastic day as I start to wind down. Peace and blessings, love and light to everyone from Australia - where the wide open spaces make riding a real Venture. Cheers, Spear
  11. Who took the chance to go out for a ride today (Christmas Day)? Needed to go to Grandmas, of course "over the river (creek) and through the woods (several tree stands). Was about 45f when we left at 2:30 this afternoon, son rode in with me. Beautifull!!!! When we left at 8 tonite, the daughter rode with me. I believe when we got back home it was close to 32f outside. Still glad I haven't started to tear her down yet!!! Gonna have to get going, tho. Still couldn't pass up a chance for a ride!!!!! Dan

  13. Twas the day after Christmas, and all through the house, Every creature was hurting-- even the mouse. The toys were all broken, their batteries dead; Santa passed out, with some ice on his head. Wrapping and ribbons just covered the floor, while Upstairs the family continued to snore. And I in my T-shirt, new Reeboks and jeans, Went into the kitchen and started to clean. When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the sink to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the curtains, and threw up the sash. When what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a little white truck, with an oversized mirror. The driver was smiling, so lively and grand; The patch on his jacket said "U.S. POSTMAN." With a handful of bills, he grinned like a fox Then quickly he stuffed them into our mailbox. Bill after bill, after bill, they still came. Whistling and shouting he called them by name: "Now Dillard's, now Broadway's, now Penney's and Sears Here's Levitz's and Target's and Mervyn's--all here!! To the tip or your limit, every store, every mall, Now chargeaway-chargeaway-chargeaway all!" He whooped and he whistled as he finished his work. He filled up the box, and then turned with a jerk. He sprang to his truck and he drove down the road, Driving much faster with just half a load. Then I heard him exclaim with great holiday cheer, "ENJOY WHAT YOU GOT ... YOU'LL BE PAYING ALL YEAR!"

  16. I just wanted to wish all of you a Happy and Merry Christmas. Haven't posted much on here lately, but I HAVE been checking in a few times a day and I think about all of my friends here often. Been busy as heck with stuff going on (all good stuff) We're planning what has become our traditional quiet day at home with the family, our folks, the kids, my son's brand new fiancee and her family. Seems that since we've started doing this, I enjoy Christmas so much better. Hope the day is special for all of you too. Vin
  17. Merry Christmas Bikers The trees are all set in each biker home Ornaments of yammers and sickles of chrome. Packages below of leather and gear. Cant wait to open them they say with a tear. Remembering the birth is a primary thought The Son of God given, our sins He has bought. A time for family and friends and love. The star in the heavens, a reminder above. Blessed to be living, blessed to be free. Blessed to remember while looking at that tree. The Savior is born, the angel had cried. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good ride. Written by Terry L. Richardson Copyright©Dec.25,2007
