While I was at our fellowship gathering after church, I saw a church member that I know rides an HD Ultra. Since it has been cold here in Cincinnati, I asked him if he has been riding his bike. He said some. I innocently asked, if he has been wearing HEATED GLOVES? He looked at me a bit strangely and replied that he was TOO MUCH OF A MAN to wear heated gloves. So I said, Most of the real men I know have hands, and in the winter their hands seem to be more comfortable in the cold with heated gloves. He had nothing else to say. Then I got to thinking, most of the HD people I see ride by wear gloves even in the hot weather, so much for fellowship. I guess I need to tell him to GET A GRIP. Peggy

Aint mother nature grand..........I havent ridden either one of my bikes in the last 10 days and it may be a while longer before I can get on and ride again. I am suffering from a recurring Pilonidal Abcess, that has been treated many times in the past 12 years but keeps rearing its ugly head almost yearly, nothing they have done has cured it. I wont go into detail of what it is, but I will tell you this........."Its a real pain in the a..!!!" If you want to see what it is just google it.........but dont look at the pictures. I am hoping it will clear up before next Saturday so I can attend Ecks lunch meet & eat that I have been looking forward to.

A few days ago I decided to stop watching the snow fall and I went out to my garage where my 2008 HD ultra classic is parked. I started waxing the already clean and waxed paint job. I decided to sit on the passenger seat to see how comfy it is, because of the weather the boss has not got to ride it yet. Anyhow I could not believe how tight and scrunched (if thats a real word) it felt. I'm only 5'6 and I felt like I was 6'5 setting on the back. My knees were higher then my backside, and my back was straight up with no room to recline, not even a little. I'm sure if the boss has the same problems I'll be back on a RSV. At least if I go back to the RSV I should'nt lost my shirt on the HD. I got $3,500 off the msrp when I bought it because it's a Peace Officer model. One things for sure I'm not going to go buy all those pretty chome goodies until the boss is happy.

My wife may be transfered to Dover Air Force Base in a few months. She's not sure if this will happen but in case it does maybe those who live around there can tell me what town/towns to look for a house in. We prefer to live in a small town but not more then say 30 miles from the base. I plan on doing some looking online first to get some idea of what we are in for. How are the property values doing in this location. We don't have any heart ach over this move since we are not really happy in Del Rio, it's a real nice little town but you have to travel 150 miles to do any real shopping or to get to a hospital with the ability to take care of more then a sliver.

Laura and I took a ride to Gatlinburg today and it was a beautiful ride. It got up to about 80 degrees as we got there. We came in thru the east end that comes from I40. We had a good meal at Legend's and walked around and did a little shoping. The sidewalks were about full of people. As we were leaving. I moved over into the right lane that goes up the hill as you are leaving the main drag. I was getting a bit irritated because I had a large Chevy pickup or SUV following me real close. Just about the time I got to where the big parking garage was on my right, a car in the left lane going the same direction as me allowed another big SUV to turn left in front of him, right into my path. We were in just a few feet from each other when I saw her and she saw me. When she got stopped, she was over halfway into my lane. Fortunately, with the traffic, I was not moving fast, but if I had hit her, we would have gone down. I was able to brake hard and move to my right. I don't know how the truck behind did not run into me unless with him being higher up, he was able to see what was going on before I did. Anyway, it was real close and it sure made me think about some of the crashes we have had with this group this year. It can happen real quick. Do you have any idea how many people will be riding with you to Memphis, I need to give the hospital a heads up by next weekend so they can be prepared for us.............. Getting real excited about this, it means a lot to me that I have other VR members going to support this.........Especially you, you have been there everytime I needed something or planned something and that means a lot to me........Thanks brother...............

Diamond R is no longer carring the passenger tour mug unless you have the arm rests. What is everyone using for a drink holder for the real passenger?

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to turn off this thing? I've got new pads front and rear, new rear rotor, new prestone 3 fluid, no air, lots of brake power. I still cant get the light to go out.Although it doesnt really bother me, I would rather the thing come on and tell me if there was a real problem.

My 89 started smoking real bad about 2 weeks ago.It only has about 6,000 miles on it.When I did my last oil change I might have put to much oil in it,would that cause it to smoke ??.
