cindy, the loop holes are there to protect the innocent people. unfortionately the guilty have the right to take advantage of them. this is what you are experiencing. hopefully justice will prevail and this a-hole will get his due. this legal crap will play with your mind if you let it. i'm sure this jerk will pay the ultimate price. guys like him lose in the end. you have to try to put this behind you and move on. it's up to the courts now. we are always here for you, if you need a shoulder. bill and linda

now how can you knock yamaha. they make a mean guitar and piano. seriously i love the venture. as dated as it may seem it is still up with the times, and one of the best looking touring bikes around. they are a bargain at the price compared to the ultra. if yamaha really went with a new bike and look and made it look like a wing or victory everyone would be po'd. you just ain't going to get the venture look with new upgrades. times and styles change, and i think the new venture if thats what they continue to call it is going to be a shocker in the appearance department. don't think the old conservatives are going to approve. like i said times change and they are going for a different generation than us old timers. everyone picks at the wing. don't knock it till you try it. i mean like a couple of thousand miles, not just a spin around the block. would'nt trade mine for any touring bike made, it towers over all the rest. still love my two yammers too. bill

i always get 44 to 45 mpg. got 46.6 on the last tank. i use 10w-30 mobil1 energy conserving extended life. worst i ever got was 42 on break in oil. they are strong on the hole shot. they got balls out power from idle on up. i had trouble with the pegs at first but figured ive been riding with foot pegs for 45 years so i'm fine with them now. hardly ever use my highway boards anymore.

i think the 3rd gen yammer may just do that with a new detuned version of the vmax engine. going to be hard to beat that opposed 6 turbine smoothness though.
-
what can i say. it's a gold wing with a vtwin. i think it is one awesome machine what more could one want. if i did'nt like the turbine type power delivery of my flat six in my gold wing i would consider one. one thing to remember the bigger the vtwin the rougher the power pulses. i had that in my 1700 warrior. great for a cruiser but not for luxury touring bike. it is hard to resist. if i want the vtwin feel i ride my vstar 1300. it satifies my needs for the vtwin feel. bill ps. gee it is one nice machine.

you can dust that vtx. go for it. i figure the wing is sorta a modernized 1rst gen with a car motor. boy do she got power.

i agree, if the worst thing that you can complain about on the 2nd gen, is the fact that it has a tape deck and no fuel injection you have a pretty nice bike. that kaw is awesome. look out harley.

well i have really tried to pick this scoot to pieces. only two complaints, biggest is i need more time to ride it, and rough front suspension. i plan on fixing those two. it is the ultimate do it all road bike bar none. i tried to hate it, just won't happen. not prejudist cuz i own one, just can't lie about it. honda did good. i picked at it and it just keeps fighting me back and doing everything absolutly perfect, so i guess i have to throw in the towel and love it. what a machine. let the bashing begin. bill

heres what i think it is. i think it is a victory some one has custom built and the picture is backwards. the primary cover should be on the other side. in other words the buke is shown reversed in the photo. sure looks like a victory primary cover and engine to me. bill

ya buddy i kinda like my wing. that sure is one nice harley. hope you enjoy the heck out of it. sure is purty and blue. bill :clap2:

since i always hated the engine off switch on the right handle bar i used it for my passing lights on my vstar and royalstar. really handy. the engine off switch has always been a pain.

i know it's early, but now that the eureka springs meet is behind us and i have a little rest from the initial set up of the 2009 international rally, i am starting to work on the best st. charles meet and eat of all times. the last three were awesome so i decided to make this one a regular 2 day meet with two great rides. one being to historic hannibal mo. and the other to herman, mo. to visit a neat little german town and the wineries. both are tremendous rides of about 200 mile round trip. it will be some time in may or early june. just want to let everyone know so you can keep the calender open. i try to schedule it so it does'nt interfere with dons maintenance day. i will have motels listed ,and for those that like to gamble like cindy and dale, they are near the river boats. last years meet and eat was awesome, and i had so much fun i thought i would try to double it. i am going to have a big barbeque for the grand finally at my house, same as last year. best part it is all free. looking forward to seeing a bunch of you folks. bill :clap2:

ive got a millermatic 185 mig welder and a miller thunderbolt ac dc stick welder. hardly ever use the stick welder anymore, unless i want to weld something that is not to clean , overhead, or in windy conditions outside . i like the miller. get one with a good duty cycle, the closer to 100% the better. the more you spend the better the weld and the better it works. a decent one will start over $1000.00. get the 220volt model avoid the off brands. buy one from a reputable welding supply house near home so you can have good customer back up and a place to get your tanks. i buy all my welding supplies from the same place, all my tanks, acetylene, oxygen, and inert gas for the mig etc. when you buy from a welding supply house they usually have a room where you can try one out. bill:2133:
