  1. jerry, can't beat an offer like that. don't buy the beer yet we still have 11 months. bill
  2. cindy, wtho, is a member of baca. he lives in montgomery city, mo. i have been to one of their meetings in wright city, mo. he is in the members list. you may have met him before. bill
  3. well ,we won't have a eureka springs meet next year because the 2009 international rally is going to over shadow it and take most of my time getting it together. i am going to do something really special for my st. charles meet and eat next spring. it will probably be a 2 day event. with some great riding and my big barbeque for the finally. bill
  4. hey guys, i saw one that brad made and it was top of the line. he is a professional welder and fabricator. maybe if you talk nice to him he will make some for you. then we could keep the business among our members. just a thought bill
  5. cindy they always ask for bond reduction, but sounds like the judge who set the bond in the first place has no tolerance for this jerk, so you may have no worries. besides he would probably have to have alot of collateral to get any kind of bond, cuz i don't think they would lower it that much.
  6. won't be long before the 08 eureka springs ar. meet, sept 10th thru the 13th. it is going to be a good one and probably the last one. fantastic rides, even going to stop by the hub for dinner. lots of good folks will be there. any late comers that need info we have a sticky under rides and rallies. for those planning on coming we are having a drawing for the guys and gals, so if you would like to donate a small item for the drawing that would be fine. this meet is totally free , no registration. so all you need is food and gas. i think the host motel is totally full but there is a load of motels and eaterys in the immediate area. looking forward to seeing my old friends and lots of new ones. we have some great rides planned. even though there is a no helmet laws in arkansas bring helmets cuz we may do some riding in missouri, and they have a helmet law. bill
  7. lewis, it did kind of go to the dogs, back to the original post one member suggested having an area set aside to have items for sale that are made and offered by our members. we will be working on things like this within the committee. want to thank patti and allen of diamond r for there offer and giving us the original idea. bill
  8. a thousand nasties on you. lol. to be honest nothing said about the dry county on the other post had anything to do with why i started this thread. roadkill brought it to my attention on our private area that i should clarify the dry county thing for people who never heard of it. and he made a good point. so i thought i would put this out so everyone that likes a beer now and then would realize it will be available one way or another and it is legal to have and drink it at the hub. also there are alot of nice restaurants in eureka springs that serve alcoholic beverages. hope this clears things up. bill
  9. there is a controversy on the hub being in a dry county. not to worry we have three choices on beer and liquor for those who want it. 1) you can bring what ever you want with you when you come. 2) when you go on a ride you can. stop on the way back to the hub and bring what you want back with you ,thats what we did at vogel. 3) the owner of the hub said he would keep plenty iced down for us. can't elaborate on that cuz thats all he said and i did'nt ask any questions. so we will have beer one way or the other. no law against having or consuming it in a dry county you just can't buy it. i think you have to go about 23 mile from the hub to the beer store. eureka springs is not in a dry county. lots of people will probably go there to sight see. we could even have a beer run ride for those like me that like beer. bill
  10. come on guys, rose bud is trying conduct a serious collection of good things for the ladies to enjoy. your not helping her at all. probably just hurting her feelings. how about the rocketts my wife really likes them.:rotf::rotfl:. oh geez, sorry rosebud that just came out of nowhere. i had a .
  11. okay dave, what are you replacing it with? we're all sitting on the edge of our chairs.
  12. not in 2009. it will be a totally new and different bike.
  13. my dealer wanted to put my name on his. all it would take was a $1000.00 non refundable deposit. i told him the zx 14 he sold me last year would dust it good, so i figure i'll just keep my kaw. over 200 hp and less than 600 lbs. now. :cool10:
  14. this is a dry county, but i'm working on the beer with the hub. just for safety i'm bringing my own beer.
  15. ok now you teed me off, hooters is out, and you blew the pole dancer too. guess it will be 50's music.
  16. rosebud, i'm going to back you up here. you get em down and i'll kick em.

  18. do we have anybody who wants to furnish free beer. maybe stardbog would bring a heineken truck with him. :clap2:
  19. okay group, we have decided to open the 2009 rally to venders and have a vender area. so far DIAMOND R has committed to be there for us and bring their products. do any of you folks know, any motorcycle related vendors that might be interested in selling and showing there products at the rally? if so contact them and have them pm me. i still have to clear this with the hub, but since we have the whole resort to ourselves i see no problems. i will talk to debbie at the hub this week. your help on this would be appreciated. this is just apart of some of the neat stuff we are working on for you, all. thanks bill:2133:
  20. jt, don't think we could handle the whole group, but sure would like to try. i am really looking forward to getting everyone i can, to meet each other face to face. not to mention i want to see everyone have a great time. we got a really early start and working hard on making this one to remember.
  21. i knew i would shake some more out of the tree's. i got a goal of at least 200 attendees. now out of 5400 members i know we can beat that. :clap2::clap2:
  22. bump, come on folks we need to know this info.
  23. how about an all cast aluminum frame. using the totally new detuned v-max fuel injected motor for a stressed member for starters. don't hold your breath for 2009. be satisfied with what you have for at least another year or two. could be in the works.:cool10: gonna have yamaha investigating me if i say anymore.
  24. i kind of prefered the windshield myself and did'nt want to pay for the cb and some of the extras. so i went with the rstd. than i started traveling and really needed the trunk. sold my rstd and now riding an 08 wing with all the bells and whistles, go figure, but i do love it. keep watching ebay like every day. trunks are on there all the time off wrecked ones. they usually have no hardware cuz they reuse it when the fix the bike. all the new hardware, and there is a bunch of it, was over $800.00 with a 20% discount. bill
  25. okay i'll let you off the hook this time but don't let it happen again.
