    When you go to Lowes or Home Depot for replacement bolts, get em long enough to feed all the way through the mounting plate. Tighten a loctited nut under the mounting plate on the exposed threads. This way they cannot back out of the threads tapped into the mounting plate. Worth a shot

    I really hope the rotten audio sound is just plain wind noise not the sound of poor popping from the pipes. If it is the pipes; sounds like some rejetting is in order. JMHO.

    I'm going next week for the sleep study. I've been suffering with apnea for years- wife says I snore like a bear and do stop breathing during sleep. I don't think I had a decent nights sleep in years. So far nothing has worked for me. Been too stuborn to go for the study. Duh! My cardiologist strongly suggested a sleep study just to protect the ol ticker because when I stop breathing during sleep the heart goes into afib condition which is not very safe. Most likely contributed to the brain aneurysm I had a few years back. I was very concerned if the CPAP mask will interfere with attempts to sleep; but after reading all these success stories I feel more at ease. I haven't been sleeping worth a damn lately so what harm will the mask do. Looking forward to good nights sleep ala:

    Just installed my custom made Day Long seat from Russell Cycle Products. www.russellcycleproducts.com Went with black/gray herringbone velour vinyl sides in black. Great artistic quality construction and very comfy. Russell was great company to deal with - sent fabric color samples prior to placement of order. Delivered as promised, ships back quickly. I'm happy Only downside is must provide stock seat pans to build on - but fit is guaranteed to be correct:clap2:

    Keith - Where did you find the fender flap? Thats exactly what I've been looking for...... without success.

    The Dunlop Elite 3 is available as radials or bias ply. Sizes for the RSV are only available in bias ply. I run them and am very happy.

    Sorry for jacking the thread but my problem is kinda related... My 99 R*V suddenly the CB does not transmit from rider position, no tx when ptt button engaged. Cleaned and lubed ptt switch on left switch pod also did all radio related connectors including inside the fairing. When switch is pushed the am/fm audio does mute but no tx indicator on CB display. Tx does light when passenger ptt button is pushed. I'm at a loss as to what to check next Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Do not need any accessories with the carbtune other than a long screwdriver that you can get anywhere.

    I'd really like a pod setup. Rather than water temp gage I'd prefer to have voltage meter.

    I've been looking at the tow-pac at the rallys impressed with the clean looking mounting system. Looks really good on the RSV. Thanks for posting the pics. May have to place an order real soon.
