  1. zip tie trick didnt work. no resistance on lever...at all. i have speedbleeders, fresh teflon, and still no lever. i checked all bango fitting and retightened them. ???????"? now what??? should i go to town and get something to force fluid UP the lines from the bleeders?
  2. i was thinking about painting my 1st gen, hot rod black, its a satin.
  3. i would say they were about the same. if you take away all the zigs and zags outta the stock case, i would say the volume is pretty equal. i tried to fill up an old one with 2liter bottles thru a hole in the top to check, but water was pouring out faster than i could measure it. but close...
  4. well...i went out there and yelled at it! i told it i was gonna buy a Super Tenere if it didnt cooperate...then, i put new teflon on the rear bleeder, and IT WORKED! too tired to try the front. i also did Progressives today, and im exhausted...to be continued...
  5. yammer zip?? i dont have a vacuum...
  6. i will try it, but, i get nothing moving thru the front or rear....
  7. do i leave bleeders closed? cover on the master? and when i udo zip tie, do i let lever go back at all??

  17. from what i understand, due to the materials used, they are difficult to paint. so, nah! stickers!
  18. thats right! Pelican cases on my 1st gen. my old yammy cases were leaking, and the right case had melted. probably from a rear caliper locking up in the past. so...i went pelican! pelican cases are virtually indestructible. water and air tight and lightweight! the cases i got were the hardigg i2400 storm. 26 liters. i bought them on ebay, used, from a supplier for 117.00 delivered. they weigh 6.5lbs, my yammy case weighs 9lbs. saved 5 lbs already! i took off backrest, helmet locks, crash bar, and grab handles. that stuff weighed 23lbs!! my tired rear shock is probably lovin me right now....anyhow...i used the mounts for the top right off the old cases. i wanted to be able to take them off, like regular luggage. i also used the lower guide/mount , but, had to make a new bracket. i used some samson construction brackets. lots off measuring, re-measuring, and drilled holes. mounted upper and lower brackets and checked fit. I LOVE THEM!!!! sweet case, custom look, and WATERTIGHT!.now some final finish work, locktite, silicone, and then the other side tomorrow. whew! im tired...all that thinkin wore me out! oh, i have to make a locking point for them too, so the dont fall off, and no one can steal them....enjoy. told ya i was up to somethin... Y bE nORmaL
