  3. Does your check engine light come on before it dies..........could be something to do with emissions........if it is, the warranty will cover it as long as it isnt over 100,000 miles........dont ask me how I know, mine had 526,000 when my emissions failed and service writer said it was a tad out of warranty..........Uncle Sam makes them warrant them for 100,000 miles.
  4. New items are up for auction. Multiple items again. Bid often and bid high for the kids at St. Jude. Thanks to all for participating............You folks are going to make a difference for many kids at St. Jude. When bidding on the T-shirts the only sizes available ore Large, XLarge & XXLarge.
  5. Had a similar experience a few years ago. Our motorcycle ministry was visiting a senior citizen home and we met a gentleman who was 82 years old. When we took them out to see all the bikes, he stated that he had never ridden on a motorcycle. He asked if he could go for a ride, but the facility told him he would have to get permission from his family, so..............We planned another visit a month later, we thought he would have forgotten about the ride, but no, this old guy was sharp, as soon as we arrived and he saw us, he said his son was there and his family said it was ok as long as it was short. He was like a little kid going for his first ride. We have been back a couple of times since and he still talks about riding with us..........we even made him a member of our ministry and presented him with a do-rag and a group patch. I think I need to go back and see how hes is doing.............That really made his day and ours...........hope at 82 if I cant ride somebody will be willing to take an old man out for a ride............
  6. We have always had total electric homes, to me gas is dangerous if you get a leak, plus with the cost of natural and propane these days fewer bills is the name of the game. When we moved from S. Louisiana our electric bill was running over $225.00 a month in a 1300 sq. ft home, but we ran the a/c longer down there and we had a swimming pool that we ran the pump on 8 months out of the year.......When we move to Ga. and saw what folks were paying for gas here, there is no way I was going for gas anything............We now have a 2400 sq. ft. home and our electric bill averages about $150.00 a month. Plus most electric companies give a discount if you have a total electric home. My reason for saying gas is not as safe is, we had friends in La. who had gas and they developed a leak that got under their house and something caused an explosion, possibly a pilot light from the gas water heater and the reslulting fire, seriously injuring a very close friend of mine who bears the scars to this day.

  14. Both of us have more than one bike, and the one bike we both agree on thats fun to ride, runs good, has a smooth running engine and all the power you could want, with low seat height, bags, w/shield, fi,& floorboards is the V star 1300. Super bike and can be had very reasonabley. Now Yamaha has come out with a Vstar 950 that looks identical to the 1300 but has a much lower seat height and looks really good. Vstars can't be beat for realibility. Check them out, you cant go wrong with them..........and if she likes the custom chopper look, and can handle almost 1800cc engine, check out the Raider by Yamaha, low also, has the same engine as the Stratoliner and Roadliner............just my worth. Good luck on whatever you get her...........
