The test results are in....... WD40 worked like a charm Then finished up with Novus Cleaner.. PERFECT Thanks Gang for your help ! My garage smells like peanut butter now Pretty sad when WD40 cost less then peanut butter. Jeff
-
Well so far hanging out in the garage.... peanut butter has no effect on this residue and soapy water has no effect... come to find out I can not find my can of WD40 so waiting for the store to open to run down and get ANOTHER can... when I get it I am sure I will find my old can ! I will give a full report soon !!

My goodness gang.. I am thinking we need a POLL to find out how many of you have fallen asleep while riding a motorcycle.. I did one time when I was young , but it was in a car for a sec. man that scared me!

Thanks guys,, still kicking around what I should use. I have to tackle this soon this morn. It seems that WD40 should not hurt anything. So many decisions The worst part is that this sticky of course in right in my line of site. go figure. It is also going to be interesting to see how clear vers. tinted will be for me after 4 years. as I ride to work in the morning in the dark. Jeff

I did find this for residue left on flat screen TV's Mix 1 tablespoon of isopropyl alcohol with 3 to 4 tablespoons of water. For very sticky residues, you can use up to 50 percent isopropyl alcohol. To make this combine 2 tablespoons isopropyl alcohol with 4 tablespoons of water. 2Dip a soft, clean and lint-free cloth into the isopropyl alcohol and water solution. You could use a microfiber cloth or the type of cloth used for cleaning eyeglasses. Wring out any excess solution.

I just put on my second clearview that I found for a awesome price last week. it had been stored for about 2 years in the original box. My Question is will Goo Gone hurt the windshield? I mounted it and started to peel off the plastic covering they put on. but from sitting so long. I have a small area about the size of a grape fruit were it left some sticky stuff. Thanks for Ideas. Just wanted to check before I tried it. Otherwise the shield is in perfect shape. Jeff

right, so there is an autozone pump and a napa pump on the list. there not open today?
-
from the goose Fuel Pump - Most external low pressure/low volume fuel pumps should work - stock pump has a 3 PSI rating and costs over $200. Look for a solid state pump sold for old VWs or jeeps. Here are a couple of links for replacement pumps under $50: Autozone 4-7 PSI NOTE: since this pump is double the pressure of the stock pump, I would not use it unless I could not find any other. Autozone 2-3 1/2 PSI JCW 1 1/2-4 PSI JCW 1 1/2-3 1/2 PSI http://www.jegs.com/i/Mr.+Gasket/720/42S/10002/-1 http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalo...facetpumps.php Parts 40105 and 40171 https://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/C...067330545&An=0
