IMO if the First Generation is a big bike for you - then the 2nd Generation seems much bigger. I picked up a cheap first generation and love how light it feels compared to my 2nd Generation. I wish the wife would let me keep it just to ride around town. Now I understand why all you 1st Generation guys love your bikes. You might find out what your loan company wants for the 99 - offer to sell it for them if they will apply what profit you get above their asking price towards your loan. You never know!!

This ends in a couple of hours but is a good deal http://www.1saleaday.com/

Randy - it is STILL raining here! At least I don't have any more water in my basement! Glad you got home - and you will have plenty of sunny days to ride. I like the picture of your bike with woods in the background - sweet!!!

RandyR picked up his 2000 MM yesterday and rode up to my place. We did some work on his new ride and my bike - went for a couple of short rides - got wet. Due to the weather he spent the night - but got on the road this morning heading back to Georgia. He's bound to get wet today but should avoid the storms. It was great to meet Randy and to spend some time. He got a great deal on his bike. Keep him in your prayers as he makes the long trip home today.

Has anyone ordered from Troy and had to wait a long time or didn't receive their product? I placed and paid for my stuff on Feb. 19th and still no product. I've emailed him twice this week and no response. One reason I ordered from him is the recommendations of members from this site.

We gave 17,000 for our 07 Pacifica two years and 35,000 miles ago - got 15,000 on trade and got the MKX at Trade-in-value. The main thing is my wife loves it and she's picky! Might be time to buy another piece of chrome for my bike as she's in a great mood today!

Been shopping for a different SUV for my wife so today we will be picking up an 08 Lincoln MKX with 9,000 miles. She's been driving an 07 Pacifica but we got a good deal that we couldn't turn down. We drove the Pacifica for 2 years and will get 2,000 less than we paid for it. Also, we are getting the MKX @ way below NADA book.

When the wife quit riding I thought I needed a cruiser. Sold #470 - Bought a VTX 1800 - sold it went to an Ultra Classic - Traded the Ultra for a 06 F150 4X4 with 48000 miles plus a 62 impala clone - sold the impala - and was delighted to find the second 2000 MM last fall. Two things brought me back to the RSV - #1: It was the best bike I ever owned - #2: Ventureriders - I loved this forum.

I went to the site and noticed my first bike is on there @ 470 - my new bike is 259!

1st Generation leak ---
Godlover replied to Godlover's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I know what happened - I wonder how you get the elbow out - and Yeah - I do need to find a replacement! -
I'm still cleaning up my 83 and noticed what looks like antifreeze on a bent tube by the front crash bar on the right side. I've attached a picture and wonder what it might take for a fix. Doesn't look like an easy fix. I think the previous person had some goop on it. Any suggestions?

Godlover replied to Godlover's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Yeah -this morning I pulled out the scotch brite pad and it works quite well. Let me see what happens as I get this thing cleaned up. I'm amazed at how rusty the bolts are! -

Well - I did it - broke my only key off in the saddle bag!! Ugh! I barely put it in and the thing snapped. I have both pieces so I'll be hunting down a locksmith and hopefully he can make me a couple of new keys! -

I have the ignition key - it doesn't seem to fit the lock that removes the bags - it fits the other locks on the bags.
