  2. I prefer a 6 cylinder. Just sayn....
  3. I can tell you from experience that the burden of proof that you have abused the bike is on Yamaha. If they cannot positively identify exactly what you are doing wrong, then they have to cover the repair. I'm not saying you are doing anything wrong BTW.
  4. I will keep that in mind.... Love the radial tires though..
  5. I think it is cooler than my previous 09 RSV. I even had the deflectors installed on the lowers, and my feet baked. I had no problems and my ride home was 1400 miles with temps from 95 to 100.
  6. After 1500 miles on my new to me 99 Interstate, I have to say I love this bike. I thought the foot position would be a problem, but it has been surprising comfortable. It does have a mustang seat, great padding, but very little wiggle room, so I will be looking for a ultimate soon. The power on the bike is great, gas mileage was about 32, 29 when flying, but the power of the engine is awesome, great torque, no vibes, and stable at any speed! Not that I would have sped by any means... This bike is just short of perfect for me. New seat, highway pegs, and electric cruise control will just about finish it off. It has all the chrome save for the trunk rack, so that will be next along with a trailer hitch and trailer. It does need a carb sync, tires are new, and the bike had 8500 miles when I picked her up. She will also need new speakers in the near future. All in all, I would rate it a 8.5 out of 10. Thanks again Squid for the assistance in getting it.
  7. I swear I can smell pie.....

  10. Thanks!! I love it. Almost effortless to ride, smooth as butter, and all the power. It is a 99 with 8,600 miles on the clock. Thanks Squid for helping to make it happen! I get to break it in tomorrow with a 1100 mile jaunt to Paintermans.
  11. Thank you all for the prayers The sausage biscuits and gravy were the best! Thanks Lonna, I owe you one.
  12. I am not one to really ask for much for myself, but it has come time that I will require some higher support. I was was doing stupid things thinking I was 20 again about a month ago. Anyway, I took a bad fall, and dislocated my shoulder. That was an easy fix, no major issues there, but I also dislocated my collar bone from the breast plate. That is the hard part. It does not want to heal, and the pain is making me a little more crazy than normal as it is constant. I have an appointment with specialist next week to go over what ever options there may be. I hate to ask for myself, but I believe if you could please send a few prayers my way, this will help me to heal and hopefully keep me off of the operating table..... Thank you, Rob
  13. I am praying for you as well. I will post the link on my FB page as well.
  14. I can't post my true feelings for those worthless people. But the followers of that church will one day be drinking the kool-aid.
  15. I love that new Wing!
  16. Prayers sent. Best wishes
  17. If you find something you are really interested in, let me know and I will send you all of the TSB's and recalls from Alldata.
  18. Buy now, Saab later.
  19. Recalls for the Buick. The 3.1 liter is prone to cylinder head failure. 75% of the time you will have to replace the head as the gasket is not the cause. Number Date Title 04052 09/01/2004 Recall - Headlamp Non-Compliance NHTSA04V375000 08/06/2004 Recall 04V375000: Low Beam Headlamp Bulp Replacement NHTSA99V356000 12/17/1999 Recall 99V356000: Headlamp Adjuster Calibration Defect NHTSA99V170000 08/25/1999 Recall 99V170000: ABS Motor Electrical Short for the intrepid. BTW if it is the 2.7 engine, they have a catastrophic engine failure due to a under sized oil pick up in the engine oil pan. There is an update for it. Transmission, ECM, and TCM are prone to failure which results in transmission failure. 20. My corporate program is used with filemaker, hate it!
  21. I am looking at he 1200LT as well. I no longer have the RSV, and fuel injection, heated grips and seat, and ABS are what I am looking for.
  22. All cards have been cancelled. The sheriff told me that if she tries to get a restraining order, he will be back me up because she is a city police officer, and at that point he will file reverse charges. I have had enough as of today, and I have removed everything that has my name attached to it. Her lawyer has threatened to have me arrested for theft, but again, the sheriff has all of the details and has vowed to refuse to serve a warrant. He said it is a civil matter the second it leaves the property. And it is now gone. Nice guys do seem to finish last, and I refuse to be run over. Because she has had all my mail return to sender, changed the locks before eviction, she has broken the law and the sheriff will file the report as soon as I ask. The local police have been very helpful. No, we are not married, but all of the money was used jointly, as were the bills. Her lawyer wanted me to leave everything in the house until after the eviction before we split anything. Obviously, that did not sit well. As for threats against her or her family.... no matter how upsetting this is, I would never stoop to such a level. There is no situation that would make me even want to do that, hell, not even to the level she is trying to play at now. We have 0 contact. For a police officer that cannot face internal conflict, there is not much hope for a career in law enforcement. I really appreciate the support all of you have given me. That being said, there are 2 sides to every coin, but I am being as straight forward as I can. I am angry, but that does not diminish my feelings for her. Thank you all. Rob
  23. Just an update. This separation has become very dirty on her end. I had agreed to every financial aspect that she wanted me to pay, but then she got a lawyer. Needless to say, it has now become warfare, as they expected me to roll over and show my belly. To top it all off, Clare will no longer speak with me, and her attorney has asked me to sign off on her getting a restraining order against myself. They asked because they can not get one against me as I have never done anything to warrant it. In a nut shell, I hate to burden all of you with this, but to be hones with out the possibility of venting, I may have gone insane already. Thank you all for the posts and e-mails. It's amazing how much taller you can feel with so many shoulders to carry you. Rob
