  1. Good Luck selling it -
  2. OK - now that I found the sore spot, how can I get salt in it :rotfl:
  3. to be honest - I looked for almost a year for a Venture Trike, not too many out there and the ones that are I didn't care for. there are 3 things that prompt a purchase out of me - (1) a good deal (2) I saw it and fell in love and (3) I just want it There are only 2 kits for the Venture and I don't like either one of them. I could have put a Hannigan on my Venture for $13,000 and saved $8000 but realistically I would have been under powered and out dated compared to the GL1800. I bought a second seat for the Wing and I'm taking it over today to get it 'adjusted' to give me a little more leg room.
  4. I got a pretty good deal on the Trike ($21,000) but since I got it home I've put another $2000 plus in it and I'm still looking for 'stuff' to put on it. I know up front that I'll never recoup the bling money but again, it's things I want. A CB, Antenna, 4.5 degree triple tree, a second heated seat w/Utopia back rest, a J & M Blue tooth terminal, Kury Highway boards w/heel/toe shifter, Kury highway pegs, mirror turn signal led's and there will be more - oh, almost forgot, didn't have it home 24 hours and Jaybird was here doing his thing. yep - Life is good
  5. Ok - I have some understanding I bought a 2007 Wing w/champion trike kit then listed my Venture. I sold it a couple weeks ago, I thought I priced it high enough that it wouldn't sell but someone fell in love with it. My Venture was the only bike that I ever had a real attachment to, for no reason other than I just flat out liked it and the ride.
  6. just curious - how do you feel about pinstriping ?? The Royal Star Venture is the MOST comfortable bike I've ever owned and I've already made my fortune so I don't mind letting someone else make a little profit. That's why I buy and sell my truck every 2 years or so, as well with my wife's car. ( we don't have payments on them either) mines a 2011 Z71 and hers a 2012 Legacy
  7. EXACTLY We all do it to suit ourselves - as long as the better half OK's it :mo money: I hope you meant selling it, if you intend to trade with a dealer and make money I wanna be a fly on the wall.
  8. who cares if it looses a little value - I didn't buy mine for an investment, I bought it because I wanted it. Then I wanted it a different color - my mineke, my money, my choice
  9. they are from the factory but not everybody likes to keep them that way
  10. GREAT looking bike but $8000 - ???
  11. not sure how they'll look on a Metallic Silver bike
  12. I can totally block him out when Jeannie is on the screen. 81 - quite a varied life RIP
  13. The one in Indy was an attempt to eliminate a half a million dollar mortgage - now someone gets to go to jail for murder
  14. can't come close to listing everything I'm thankful for so it's best to just Ditto what Lewis said
  15. I've been using a Driod (HTC) for a couple years - text, internet, email, google, utube oh and it has a phone feature
  16. I only rode 2 moto's and I waited until I was 35 to do them. Big mistake - should have done them when I was a lot younger. Did a LOT of dirt riding but it was in Ohio strip pits in NE Ohio. Never had a Penton but did have a Kaw, a Bultaco and several Maico's. Ran the one and only moto on a 450 Maico in the open class, finished in the middle in both moto's but beat the crap outta myself The next weekend I was back in the strip pits vowing to never run another moto
  17. Keep an eye on ebay - on a daily basis, I found a used 4.5 degree complete for $375 - also look around all the trike forums - used is scarce but new is $1000
  18. You betcha -with a little better planning we can even go next door and try their Bud light tap !
  19. not necessarily so - I saved 5K to 7K by buying mine already done, takes a little time and patience
  20. Again, I was wrong - been so long since I even looked at it, I forgot what it was. About 30 or so years ago I recieved as a gift a H&R Convertable. It shoots .22lr and .22 wmrf using 2 different cylinders. neat little pistol
  21. Isn't the Hornet a rimfire ? I think that's what's in my desk drawer
  22. I had a local dealer quote a Hannigan on my 2007 RSV - tax, tilte, del, paint and any other extras that could be added on came to about $14,000 I opted for a Champion kit on a 2007 Honda GL1800 with 2300 miles for $21,000, already done of course. I had to put a CB on it as well as EZ steer but that was only $1100. So now I have a 2007 GL1800 w/fuel injection, navigation, heated seats, heated grips, air bag etc etc BUT I sure miss the cassette player
  23. you got a shadow box ? DD214 here
  24. Actually nearly all Yamaha Venture buyer insist on a cassette player, especially when buying the bike new.
  25. My brother-in-law has been out there 15 or 20 times, they go a couple times a year and I think they've got it figured out. He's been telling about the slot machines on the sidewalks -
