  1. Today was a very beautiful day in terms of temperature. I think we came close to 70° this afternoon. I was able to warm up my '07 and it cranked right up after sitting for a number of weeks due to bad weather, etc. So this afternoon, I wanted to give the SVTC and spin and it didn't want to crank. Not sure initially what was going on until the onboard voltage meter indicated 11.9 volts. My easy fix for now is to plug it in on my Battery Tender and see if it cranks back up tomorrow. After today, winter temperature is on our way and freezing rain/sleet is forecasted for Friday morning. A little disappointed not being able to ride, but I must be patient.
  2. Still here. Working a lot and staying out of trouble. Hello to all.
  3. It has been over a week now and there is no good weather in sight. Our roads are salt covered and temperature has been below freezing ever since. It is suppose to warm up nicely by Thursday and Friday but...guess what...lots of rain in the forecast. In a way, it is good for mother nature to wash off all the salt and debris from the road. Another week and hopefully there will be some ride time by the 2nd week of February.
  4. The secret is simple. I am always easy on the throttle ever since I've had my 777 installed and religiously keep my rear pressure at 40 psi. I expect my front tire will last almost twice as long as my rear or at least close to 16K - hopefully.
  5. So glad you followed your instinct that you are able to sense danger. Your experience truly matters. Two thumbs up!
  6. When I’m on my RSV, I rely on my 777s. I think I have close to 10K miles on my rear tire and it still has a lot of miles left. Nice video.
  7. I feel your pain as well. We just couldn’t catch a break on the cold temps and not to mention…the incredible amount of salt on the road. Looking at my 7 days forecast doesn’t look very good either. I am very ready for cold weather rides, but at this condition it just makes it impossible for me to even consider a short ride. 🤞hoping for a nice rain shower to wash off all the salt.
  8. Stay strong, Don. I am praying for your speedy recovery.
  9. Stay strong, Don. I also would like to thank you for all what you did for this great forum. I enjoy going to this site everyday. Things will get better and hopefully I can join the group this summer and get to meet fellow riders and to see you once again. Take care all. Keep in touch.
  10. This is not my preferred weather, but I remain patient. 😏
  11. I need to loose 5 lbs. The food left overs are not helping. 😃
  12. I thought we were going to get a lot of snow ❄️ a couple of days ago, but it totally missed my area. Virginia, D.C. and south of Baltimore got the brunt of the storm. Now I am waiting for the rain clouds to come, because the snow crew dropped lots of rock salt along my route but the snow never came. 😟. It might be looking good next week.
  13. About half an inch of snow is expected to arrive early Monday morning, but only up to half an inch. Hoping for less and I hope the snow crew doesn’t go crazy on the salt. That is the bad news. Towards the end of the week is looking a little better. Looking forward to at least log in my first ride of 2022 soon.
  14. I think it is fair to say, you have until Jan 15 to make changes to your New Years Resolution - if you have one. After that date, it is normal as usual. 😇
  15. I also want to announce my unrealistic New Years resolution. Work more and spend less. 😃
  16. I have several, I guess. Ride more this year is top of my list.
  17. My ‘07 RSV happened to be my first choice and I am very glad to remain the first and only owner of this fine machine. The V4 sold me.
  18. Welcome to the forum, Russ. Feel free to ask anything about your bike and someone will have the answer for you. Your bike is looking good!
  19. We had a few flurries yesterday and then off and on rain for the the next 3 days. ❄️😟. I am hoping the weather will improve. For the meantime, RSV and SVTC will need to be plugged in. 😉 IMG_0152.MOV
  20. I also have the RAM mount for my gps mounted on the right side of the RSV. It is ok either way, left or right as long as you remember not to tinker with it while on the move. For safety, I always stop and make changes or updates on my gps.
  21. Christmas is not over yet. 😃🙏 This showed up in my front door. I can install this on my truck once the weather improves. Enjoy the holidays until we welcome the New Year.
  22. Merry Christmas to All!
  23. Be safe out there @sleepy2, when you get the chance to ride especially now that we are already in the midst of the Holiday Season. Stay vigilant at all times. Ride safe.
  24. Rode the SVTC to and from work at 32° - the heat came in handy and it was a very nice ride for a 50 mile round trip. It gets dark really fast in the afternoon and some drivers just don't know how to pay attention to traffic. A car simply cut in front of me from the left intersection and thankfully I recognized her that she was going to go so I had to hit my brakes stronger than normal. It was a close call, but accident averted. Be careful out there and enjoy the ride.
  25. @sleepy2 We all know...Happy Wife = Happy Life.
