  1. I also saw that from another social media yesterday. Looks like a very bad accident with 6 ambulances responded to the scene. My prayers to all that have been affected. Cars on the road are slowly starting to increase in volume now that more people are returning back to work, so we all have to more vigilant as ever. Ride safe and always watch your speed.
  2. Glad to see I am also not alone. I have not fertilized yet, but this weekend is looking very promising. Weather is so nice this time in November. 2 more cuts before I put away the tractor.
  3. I read about that too. Good for me, I guess. I am still riding even when temps are in the low 30s. It just feels great. I’ll take whatever chance I can to ride and I especially will not be so sad if I don’t get to use my snowblower this winter season. Ride safe and don’t forget to turn on the heat. 😃
  4. @RDawson Honestly, it is not bad. With your short windshield, I can see it can make your ride more comfortable. Really liking the vents.
  5. That is a really nice addition to any bike especially if you are a taller rider.
  6. It is coming.
  7. @ecbaatzI’ll message you. Thank You. 😃
  8. I like both ways depending on the time of day. Thanks for the instructions.
  9. I am almost always the only person in the garage and I work on my bikes as a DIY with ample tools. Because of this, Speedbleeders are my life saver when it comes to bleeding brakes. It truly becomes a one man job in replacing brake fluid. My RSV has them and I already placed an order for my SVTC.

    New Look

I like the easiness of change from light to dark mode with just a single press. The website is looking good. 👍🏻
  11. @ecbaatzThanks for the heads up. I didn't know there is a copy here that I can view. I will explore this asap.
  12. I am about to purchase and download the Repair and Service Manual for my 2018 SVTC through Yamaha. For $9.50, I think it is a great deal. Has anyone downloaded their manual from Yamaha? If so, is it worth purchasing?
  13. When I saw the pic, it does not look so bad...but the bike may have some significant hidden problems that can be very problematic. As mentioned before, see if the engine is any good...however, you will have to determine that yourself and definitely seek a second opinion. Say the engine is still good, you still have a lot to tinker and replace (fluids, etc.). Are the tires any good or could be close to being dry rotten. The list can go on and on and on. With that said, if you have all the time and now that we are approaching the colder months, tis the season to work on a project bike. You are in the right forum and there are several members here with tons of knowledge and expertise and they can guide you and give you confidence. Whatever you decide, Good Luck and most importantly...Have Fun working on your RSV.
  14. @Patch
  15. @FlyinfoolThank You. I like it this way without quoting the whole previous response. 👍🏻😀
  16. I had a somewhat similar experience 3 days ago 2 miles from our house. I didn’t realize until I arrived my destination. I was making a left turn and then all of a sudden I felt both my tires lost traction on the turn and I almost lost control. It felt like I run over a banana peel or debris or a road kill...but I swear I didn’t see anything on the road. I pulled over thinking I had some type of catastrophic tire failure. It turned out to be wet line paint that had just been sprayed by road crews. I narrowed it down to wet paint because both my tires had yellow paint after my ride. Glad I didn’t go down. 🙏
  17. How is that ‘@member name’ done when you reply?
  18. Yes. I am on my cellphone safari browser and it does look very nice compared to Tapatalk. I like it.
  19. I still can not install Tapatalk app on my iPhone, but Don stated he is working on this issue.

    Winterizing

Yes sir. I now see your situation. With that said, do the full winterizing with the wheels off the ground. Winter is coming.
  21. Thank you for posting this page. I am truly 0.4 qts low. I'll add oil as soon as I get home.
  22. You are right. This is the first time I noticed this. The owner's manual on page 9-15 states 3.2 qts in the engine and 2 qts in the crankcase with no mention if the oil filter is replaced....there has to be 2.4 qts instead of just 2 qts. The engine is the same. I have the bike with me here at work and I will ad 0.4 qts of oil to the crankcase as soon as I get back home. I hope I didn't do any damage being 0.4 qts lower in the crankcase. Thank You very much for the heads up.

    Winterizing

Honestly, you don't really have to do all that hard work just to winterize the RSV. Just what cowpuc said, simply start your bike once or twice a week during the winter months and you should be just fine. Having a full tank of gas is significant during the winter hibernation. If a nice warm day happens during the winter months, you'll be glad your bike is ready for a ride in short notice.
  24. I think he meant 'versus'...
  25. I am super excited with the site, Don. I like it overall. I still have to get used to the new look and feel while I navigate around the site. Thank You for this beautiful venturerider site upgrade.
