  1. Try these two threads in the first gen tech library. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15135 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=10640
  2. She is MORE STRANGE? How is that possible. I just looked up "Strange" in Wikipedia and her picture is there for reference.
  3. You people scare me.....none of you are right....NONE.......
  4. Yep...same here. I have the Firesticks on mine.
  5. Good...I knew it was there but couldn't remember what it was called. AV or something. I could have gone outside and looked but that would have meant getting our of my recliner.
  6. Yes, there is a setting for it. You have to scroll through the options. I think the setting is 1-5.
  7. Thanks for the clarification guys. I don't remember the backup fuse. Figured it was an extra but it makes sense now.
  8. Probably "back up" as in spare.
  9. That is pretty much a bargain any way you look at it. Even if most of the plastic is good, it will part out for MUCH more than that. The biggest issue may be 2nd gear. The early Ventures, through around mid 1985, have a tendency to lose 2nd gear somewhere between 40,000 - 60,000 miles. It is a pretty involved repair but can be done if you are a good mechanic. Some folks just keep riding them and just skip second gear.
  10. I hate senseless acts like that. A person works hard in this world to finally have a house and a few nice things and then some lowlifes with a brain cell count of about 1 does something like that. So sorry it happened to you. I sincerely hope that they catch those that did it.
  11. Sad to hear that he is giving it up after all those years. Would probably be a nice little business to own.
  12. If you can login with your wife's computer but not your own, then you are remembering something incorrectly when you enter it on yours. Send me a PM or an email and I can reset the password to whatever you like. I am also updating your email for you but that would not prevent you from logging in.
  13. Yes I do.
  14. Yea, we did that in Arkansas last year and it's really a good idea. I think I still have my Cinderella created Tweety Bird name badge here. I'll see what I can come up with for everybody else.
  15. Well...looks like I will have to follow in the car. Folks, there is also a good BBQ place about 15 minutes away right up 20/480. Famous Dave's. Probably the best choice if you really want BBQ chicken. There is also a place about 8 miles away in Wellington, OH called Big Dog's BBQ. He usually caters but I also think he sells BBQ there. You may be able to order, pick it up there and bring it back if you want to. I'll have the number if somebody wants to call him on Thursday when they get here. Monty, yes, I have a good sized fire pit in the back and a smaller one in front near the pond. I also have plenty of firewood. I never looked into the Porta Potties. I may still do that this week...just haven't done it because I personally HATE those things. The Quaker Steak suggestion isn't bad either. I've eaten there and it's pretty good. They are all about the same.
  16. OK folks, I'm going to pull the plug on the group reservations for BBQ at the Moosehead Grill on Friday night. Eileen and I drove up there today and it's just too much trouble on top of everything else we have going on for the weekend. We have to reserve their "Party Room", pay the $100.00 rental, pay a per head price of around $16.00 per person and the "catering" menu that we have to select from is basically the same as what we have already ordered for the Saturday meal. So, basically everybody will be on their own for Friday night. If some want to go to the Moosehead, that is fine and I'm sure they can handle multiple small groups. Some of us usually go to a little place called Scoreboards in LaGrange, about 8 miles away. There is also a small Mexican Restaurant in Oberlin that is pretty darn good and also a Chinese place in the same building. So......everybody can decide where they want to go and everybody doesn't have to go to the same place. Hopefully this is OK with all of you.
  17. Folks...I'm pulling the plug on the Friday night reservations for Moosehead Grill. I will start a new thread with details. Basically though, everybody will be on their own on Friday night.
  18. I sure hate to hear this. I know that Don has been through a lot over the past few years. He will certainly be in our prayers.
  19. Come on now...you KNOW the rules. Pictures, Pictures, Pictures. Congrats on the new bike. Hope it brings you miles of smiles.
  20. WHAT? Nobody ever worked on your bike? hmmmm.....not even on a Sunday?
  21. That looks GREAT Ponch. I wondered when you were going to reveal it. If I didn't already have my Baron's tach and your 3 gauge bezel already installed, I would be all over that.
  22. OK....I'm pretty sure that the brand is EverStart.
  23. I bought one at Walmart last year when I needed one quick. I think they only had one brand that would fit. I don't remember what it was but I'm pretty sure it will be your only choice. It has been fine so far.
  24. Well yea...there's always that. BUT...he DID ask specifically about Saturday.
  25. Yea, that mini trouble maker. I'll be watching her.
