  1. No problem. I only asked because I don't THINK I've ever had a car with a low coolant light. Temp lights yes, but not low coolant. Maybe I have and just didn't know it. I know that my cars have a separate light for windshield wiper and temp and maybe they do have one for the coolant but I've never paid attention. I know that my van and my SUV both have separate low fluid lights for the front and rear washer fluid.
  2. I think it is a great idea. I would be all over them except that my Corbin is a one piece seat.
  3. hmmm.......are you sure it's a low coolant light and not the windshield washer fluid that is low?
  4. Would have loved to have made this one. Couldn't have afforded any of them but it would have been fun to look around. http://www.auctionsamerica.com/events/all-lots.cfm?SaleCode=LV12
  5. No appointments are necessary and I don't think taken. You just need to show up and get in line. I think he usually gets to them all.
  6. Jerry, I would like very much to help you but I have no idea what is going on. I can login as you and it works just fine. I logged in under your account and sent myself a PM. If anybody else is having that problem, they have not reported it. If you haven't already done so, I guess I would recommend that you clear your browser's cache, cookies, etc. Also, which browser are you using?
  7. Thanks for following up with him. He is always a welcome addition to Maintenance Day.
  8. The google search is a custom feature that I added. The rest is the regular search that is programmed into VBulletin. Now that you know about it, just USE it.
  9. I'm sorry folks but I just don't know how to better get the word out. I've posted it many times that the search works great if you click on "search" then use the google option and select http://www.venturerider.org It works very well and you don't have to leave here and actually go to Google.
  10. Bob Seger is one of my favorites. I would have liked to have seen him when he was in the Cleveland area but tickets sold out and then were crazy high.
  11. I just tried "headset adapter" and came up with this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorcycle-Headphone-Adapter-Intercom-Stereo-Systems-/270844822786?hash=item3f0f9c0502&item=270844822786&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr
  12. WOW...this is an old thread started in 2009. Amazing how some of these get resurrected.
  13. Yea...and the frogs...and the manic rooster next door. I do have a sad thing to report though...after enduring for several years, the pond monster sign finally blew away this fall.
  14. Well, I understand how you guys feel and I felt STRONGLY that way last year and I think we punished them by nobody staying there last year. I've mellowed a little now though. They screwed up one year and we punished them the next year. I am personally willing to give them another chance. I'm not trying to tell anybody where to stay and I think that the Quality has treated our members well also. I'm just saying......unless they screw up again...I'm willing to let it go. Now that being said, I KNOW where I'm staying. AT HOME.
  15. Here you go. Now it probably won't be for your year model but they have not changed at all since 1999. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1828
  16. You can download a .pdf copy from the tech library here for free.
  17. Yes there is. Edsets makes one and you can also find some lower prices simple adapters on Ebay. http://www.edsets.com/product_details.php?category_id=62&item_id=161
  18. OK.....I am mistaken then. Have you tried sending me a PM today?
  19. Jerry, I would love to help but I have looked and looked and see no problem on this end. I even logged in under your name and sent a test PM with no problem. You say it is every time you send a PM but I think I got a PM from you about this a few days ago. Try to send me another one and see if it works.
  20. Your plight has not gone unnoticed. http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2012/01/09/finally-can-throw-your-phone-in-toilet/?test=faces
  21. OK folks, I got a call from Dean a few days ago, username dksmith196958. His shop burned down a few weeks ago and his bike was heavily damaged. The insurance company wants to total it but doesn't want to pay him what he thinks it is worth. Basically the only damage is to all the plastic so he is looking for any parts that our members might have available. The bike is titled as an '85 but from his description, slant bags and the small trunk, I think it is probably an '84. So, if you have any parts available, please post here and I'll get the information to him. He has no phone or internet service right now as the wiring going into his home was burned and is not up and running yet. Just let me know either here or via PM what you have and the prices that you are asking for them. He also mentioned that he would consider buying a complete bike if that is what it takes.
  22. I've been watching ever since you first posted this and I have yet to have it happen to me. I've also received no other reports so I honestly don't know. I'm thinking gremlins or one of Boomer's pygmies made it to your computer.
  23. OK folks, I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to pick a winner but I'll come up with something. As you know, one of our vendors is F4 Customs. They make a great windshield for the RSV and several here have already purchased a shield from them. Don at F4 has contacted me and expressed his desire to give away one of their shields to ONE lucky member here. Now here is the thing. The shield needs to go to somebody who puts a considerable amount of miles on their bike each year also a person who will share their experiences with the shield. He is not asking for simply a rosy picture but an honest evaluation of what you like about the shield as well as anything that you would like to see changed and/or improved upon. So, let's here your pitches. Why should YOU be selected to receive a free windshield. How many mile per year do you ride and do you PROMISE to post your results with the shield. hmm.....a thought just occurred to me....and YES...I do have a thought every once in a while. I think I'll let F4 Customs monitor this thread and choose the winner. All that being said, let the games begin.
  24. The intercom is indeed hot all the time. You are also correct in that it does pick up a good bit of road noise. What I and several others here have done is install the Mic-Mutes. It allows you to toggle the intercom on and off and, in my opinion, is a vast improvement. http://www.mic-mutes.com/
  25. In my opinion, the answer is no. You might make a sleeve or something and get it to work but it won't look very good.
