The cost would be entirely up to you, she just wants it gone. Ben and I will be at Becky's Saturday Nov 02 to move it out. Can you be there for reception?
-
Becky says it's time for Blondie to leave, she wants the garage for parking her car in during the snow season. Blondie is a nice senior citizen of the Yamaha family and has been around since 1984. Blonde in color she sports all the necessities of comfort as well as the future ability to excite a partner just by simply the twist of the throttle bar. Blondie has been spending some time in rehabilitation, presently her rear foot has been detached to ensure the insertion of a new bump inhibitor, she has undergone and whole change of copper veins and arteries, has a newer flatus diverter along with the originally supplied outlets. Her sneakers will most likely need to be upgraded to a more recent design, seeing as she has spent sometime being sequestered. All in all though, she is as good as a newborn with less miles on her clock than the years of her age would indicate. She has a heart of silver with threads of gold, can be fed anything from the scraps to the most high fare, needs very little attention once she has been revived and out of ICU. Need a project? Want a real bike for free? Speak up now before all is lost!!!!

That scoot is getting old,,, needs help standing up straight. Maybe it comes with an inheritance. -
Hope you keep that cap real nice, so that when we get to meet you at MD or Rally at the Shores you won't be blinding anybody.
-
Now where do I get my beer???
-
Congrats Mr. Venturesome!!! Enjoy it sir, there are many others that would be happy to see you wear it. Now to do it justice it would only be fair to show up at MD or Rally at the Shores next year sporting your newly acquired addition.

Wishing you and your wife the best as you regenerate. Blessings to you both. Do you mean drivers license?

I read every post in this thread. Truly good to read so many stories if even they were short. Awesome to belong to such a group as has been formed here. I do wish each and everyone a rich blessing from the Great Father as you all continue in this life. As for me, nah I don't need a hat, never wear one,,,, I mean why would I want to cover such a handsome head as mine and I do have hair still so the what the Good Lord has given me is still doing it's job/ I am still riding our 2014 Spyder and sometimes wonder why I ever rode 2 wheels,,, these things are a hoot!!! Marca doesn't ride as much as she used to and often times retirement gets in the way of a good ride as well, I be lucky to get 10,000km on this year. "course that comes with a bonus, no new tires needed, no need for brake pads and only needed to do 1 oil change and that's only because. We still live at our 'new to us house' that we moved into about 10yrs ago, Grez007 has taken over our M&G but whenever we ride as a group the Spyder still leads for some reason. I am now old enough to know better, but don't seem to have the wherewithal to resist, so life has changed very little. Thanks Don for doing this, I bet it garnered a lot more than you maybe thought. And oh yah, the reason I hadn't posted earlier is that I was trying to get the last word in,,,, maybe? READ MY SIGNATURE!!

Just so you know, we no longer live in country, but we're not really city either,,, but,,,,, we are in Canada.

Well now,, that's a bummer. Hope you suit them! We have a house for sale across the road from us, only thing is that it has no interior walls. Guy bought it, decided to update it, tore everything out to the bare studs and then decided to buy another house instead. $375k

Sounds good Raggie, and will keep you in our prayers for sure. Wishing you blessings in the big move.

Something else to consider. Do you ride solo? then it's only yourself to consider. If you ride 2 up and the bike is not comfortable for your passenger or you are not comfortable with someone close behind you pushing you forward, then it'll soon be solo, and then would you want to ride as much? I think not.

RSTD front brake part number
Marcarl replied to revpat's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
If memory serves me correct, the manual states that the two halves are not to be separated, hence there are not part numbers for the o-rings. Now that you have the caliper at this point you should complete a rebuild. The least tiny little bit of dirt in those pistons can be a life changer for you. Take them right apart, clean them well and blow them totally dry. Install new seals and lube them with brake fluid and only brake fluid. Go to your local vearing supply store and get the proper size neoprene o-ring to install, and yes, you will need 2, one for each passageway. Remember!!!! everything has to be clean, clean, clean. -
I heard some guys thought the same as you, and went for the BMW, then found out that spending anytime in the seat was not all that comfortable and when it came to repairs and upgrades they found the RSV to be cheap. I suggest that you let your mind change your habits, or likes and dislikes, and go for an RSV. Basically all you would need would be an 'Attitude Adjustment'.

Go for a Spyder.

Rear wheel bearings and seals
Marcarl replied to Snaggletooth's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
There can be, all you need to do is become a full fledged member (a messily $12) take a vid of your proceedings and then post it. The way to do that is to post it to utube and then post a link here. If it's a good one and is helpful, then we can add it to the tech library. -
Rear wheel bearings and seals
Marcarl replied to Snaggletooth's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
If memory serves me correct, the OEM needle bearing does not come with a seal, but does have a separates seal that goes on after the bearing. If that be the case for you and the bearing has a seal already attached then I would set it so that the attached seal goes to the inside, with the separate seal going to the outside. I believe that the roller bearing is sealed from one side only, and that should be on the outside, to keep water and dirt separate from the grease. -
Nonstart. Electrical
Marcarl replied to madirishman13's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Not yet I guess, but maybe somebody shortly. -
So far I have seen NO interest in the acquirement of this wonderful piece of equipment. If you are at all interested then step up. All you would need is $500 or an offer and you would have yourself an awesome project,,,, just the real thing to keep you out of momma's hair and give you a reason not to be looking at the 'todo' list. Don't be shy, one of these days it will be gone and then it'll be too late.

We've hit a hitch on this one, might have to wait until spring.
