  1. Well now,, that's a bummer. Hope you suit them! We have a house for sale across the road from us, only thing is that it has no interior walls. Guy bought it, decided to update it, tore everything out to the bare studs and then decided to buy another house instead. $375k
  2. Go to: forums Scroll down to tech library Click on 2nd option being the year of your bike. Scroll down to: Manuals and guides......... Click on manuals and guides and pick your poison.
  3. Try this. http://www.venturerider.org/manuals/RSVservice.pdf
  4. Sounds good Raggie, and will keep you in our prayers for sure. Wishing you blessings in the big move.
  5. Something else to consider. Do you ride solo? then it's only yourself to consider. If you ride 2 up and the bike is not comfortable for your passenger or you are not comfortable with someone close behind you pushing you forward, then it'll soon be solo, and then would you want to ride as much? I think not.
  6. If memory serves me correct, the manual states that the two halves are not to be separated, hence there are not part numbers for the o-rings. Now that you have the caliper at this point you should complete a rebuild. The least tiny little bit of dirt in those pistons can be a life changer for you. Take them right apart, clean them well and blow them totally dry. Install new seals and lube them with brake fluid and only brake fluid. Go to your local vearing supply store and get the proper size neoprene o-ring to install, and yes, you will need 2, one for each passageway. Remember!!!! everything has to be clean, clean, clean.
  7. I heard some guys thought the same as you, and went for the BMW, then found out that spending anytime in the seat was not all that comfortable and when it came to repairs and upgrades they found the RSV to be cheap. I suggest that you let your mind change your habits, or likes and dislikes, and go for an RSV. Basically all you would need would be an 'Attitude Adjustment'.
  8. Go for a Spyder.
  9. There can be, all you need to do is become a full fledged member (a messily $12) take a vid of your proceedings and then post it. The way to do that is to post it to utube and then post a link here. If it's a good one and is helpful, then we can add it to the tech library.
  10. If memory serves me correct, the OEM needle bearing does not come with a seal, but does have a separates seal that goes on after the bearing. If that be the case for you and the bearing has a seal already attached then I would set it so that the attached seal goes to the inside, with the separate seal going to the outside. I believe that the roller bearing is sealed from one side only, and that should be on the outside, to keep water and dirt separate from the grease.
  11. Not yet I guess, but maybe somebody shortly.
  12. I'm having troubles understanding, could you post some pictures? Maybe it's not the part but the parter?
  13. So far I have seen NO interest in the acquirement of this wonderful piece of equipment. If you are at all interested then step up. All you would need is $500 or an offer and you would have yourself an awesome project,,,, just the real thing to keep you out of momma's hair and give you a reason not to be looking at the 'todo' list. Don't be shy, one of these days it will be gone and then it'll be too late.
  14. We've hit a hitch on this one, might have to wait until spring.
  15. Still working on that,,,,,
  16. Don't know that it would bother anything, the wheel should be perfect going either way, but the bearings would be running in the opposite direction from their norm. But I don't think that would bother anything to much either, but that is only my opinion.
  17. Valve adjustment is not rocket science, take the covers off (hard part) then follow instructions like turn the engine until the cams line up as per instructions, use feeler gauge to measure clearance, again easy instructions, turn the engine again and again and again and then some more until you get all the specs written down, Then, per instructions figure out the ones that are off and whether they are tight or loose and then get a supply of shims from your local dealer maybe, to compliment the ones you might need. Put the covers back on (harder part) Really not all that hard, but can be very time consuming, but if you relax and plan for a few hours of time, quite a nice project and can be done by me, so you can do it. Hey, your are not designing or building anything here, you are just taking apart something somebody else put together and then putting it back again,,,easy pezzy.
  18. OPPPPPS,,, yep a big opPPPPPPs!!!!!! I didn't do that right. Failed miserably!!!! That would be called a major screwup!!!! Jim did not make an offer or bid to buy this trike. Now for the next step, and that will be sometime Sunday.
