The clear coat went bad, all started to go hazy and break up, so I did the front forks again with a different clear coat and it went funny as well, so that's why I went the Classic Cloth route,,,, also have tried Mothers, Autosol and a host of other potions, none worked as well as CC. They all seemed to clean to some extent, but none had staying power so to speak.

I would start with cleaning the switch, it can get dirty and foul up, but I can't see that has anything to do with the running light part, that is a different circuit. Check your bulbs to make sure they are in right and are clean. You may also have a ground problem, so while you have it apart run a wire from the ground, outside portion of the socket, to the battery and see if it then works.

We did, that's why he thinks it was worth 2 bits, that's 2 quarters or 50 cents, and I think he's stretching that a fair bit, maybe even more more than one fair bit, getting right into the second bit, which may not be so fair, or not fair at all,,, but then he used to live close to Swifty, who has things in his living room and that might have something to do with it,,, or may not, depends on how you look at it I suppose.

This thread is being HY-JACKED Maybe I gots a better idea. Seeing as this scoot been sitting around for a while, it will need more than just the faring put back on. The brakes will need to be serviced, oil change and filter, carbs will need to be brought back to life, maybe some leaking here or there, and who knows what else while we're in there anyways. So my idea,, find a trailer, load the bike, drive for an hour to make sure it will go fast enough, unload the bike and get it fixed right,,, and oh ya, I'll have a 'parts bike' in my garage. I know,,, about the food,,,, well somebody else can figure out how to work that out,, I did the hard part. We wouldn't be able to get all that done in one day, and it should run right,,, right?

Yep, I think it's an 85 backrest, seems this one has had a complete makeover before, including paint. We had a little fun getting the faring frame to fit proper, but all seems good now.

No I didn't this last time, I did back in 2006 when I first did them, but the clear went bad, so this time I just used Classic Cloth, and so far am quite happy.

I rode one last year for a day, 2 up, and the muffler fell off before we even got out of town. Does that help??? guess I'm being disrespectful as well, oh well what else is new.
