  1. Try resetting the butterflies to '0'. Could be that only some are working and the others are too far open,,, I know, it's crazy, but crazy happens.
  2. For those of you who know the person in the pictures,, this is unbelievable so I thought I'd better take a picture while it lasted.
  3. It's a rubber plug affair, solid through-out. Ben can't seem to remember, guess he's getting older. Anybody know where this belongs?
  4. Funny how that has an effect on things,,,,, I find the same phenomena with my water hose. Now that I'm retired maybe I can get a government grant to figure out why that happens and what can be done about it.
  5. So who gets to go through the door first, the rest of the NY'rs or you,, if it's you do you have any help planned to push,,,, I'm just sayin',,, maybe best to plan ahead.
  6. According to their web site: Each Chrome Battery YTX20HL-BS High Performance Power Sports Battery, Mainenance Free and Fully Charged power sports battery is constructed with lead calcium alloy and absorbed glass mat technology, which allows a completely 'maintenance-free' operation. Highlighting mine.
  7. You need to find the balance point of the bike, then put the lift at that spot. If the lift is then lifting on something you don't want it to, then you have to adapt something to make it fit, often times hockey pucks or pieces of wood are use to create lift spots, or you could check out Carbon Ones lift adapter with the stand.
  8. You go back to your corner,,,,Don can spell very good, he even has spell check.
  9. Well if it's her birthday, then it's only right that we wish her happy birthday. So the best to you Miss Annie, and may you be blessed in the year ahead. Hopefully I will be able to wish you Happy Birthday again next year as you get older and older.
  10. Wow Jeff, YOU should retire, I changed that phone # a long time ago. But they were right about me not being there much, they're doing such a good job, it's best I stay out of the way and keep playing. Now if somebody were to call the presently listed number, they would get me and most likely I'd be busy,,, but never too busy for helping a VentureRider. If you call and the phone is busy, try again in a couple of minutes and if it's still busy I'm busy listening to Saddlebum. And oh ya, sorry to have missed your call,, it would have been nice,,,,, was Mini home???
  11. Thanks everybody for looking,,,, Muffinman has the goods and it's already on the way. Thanks Jeff, you made my day and I think for that you now deserve to have a ride on the back of my scooter!!
  12. We're with you buddy. Best for all of you in the days ahead. We will pray that light will show through any darkness.
  13. HEY,,, the Boss cleans up pretty good, better send one of those pictures to Eileen. As for the food it looks delicious, wonder why us Canucks weren't invited,,, we can eat tooo you know,, and then maybe the whole bunch wouldn't have looked so somber,,, man you'd think smiles were out of season. Glad you all took him out, lets' hope it's not a precedent.
  14. I have a right one that might work for you, it's got a bit of road rash as you can see in the pictures. The rest is is nice shape.
  15. The boss is working on it, give him some time and we'll be happy,,, we usually are:happy65:
  16. Thanks, I've got one of those already, but an 86 is different.
  17. I'm in need of the left side crash bars front and rear, for an 86. Anybody got some thing decent laying around. Kind of wore the ones a bit on the 86 last Friday when the 'wheels came off'.
  18. http://www.fluid-film.com/ Best stuff going, doesn't seem to get hard and flows into where it does most good. I'm doen with WD40 and Deep Creep, still have them for a few things, but mostly I use FF for what ever ails me.
  19. How many times can we enter this contest, or are disqualifired after post #2?
  20. When you have it back together, coat it with Fluid Film, should solve some of your future problems.
  21. Good for you Angel, maybe we'll see more of each other.
  22. Yep, sounds like steering head bearings. Could be as Evan says, or also could be that somebody adjusted them too tight, but I tend to go with Evan's thoughts. Personally I would take the time to remove the bearings and put new ones in, I know it's not the brakes, but it too important to mickey mouse with. Get yourself a new set of bearings, your local bearing dealer will be able to help you, drop the whole front end and do it right. It's the only time you'll have to do this job. It's not complicated, but will take some time.
  23. Some good thoughts. Now as I recall, in the turn and under light throttle, the rear wheel felt like it was going to the right, then the bike straightened up, felt like it was on ice and then slid out from under me coming down on it's left side. I was in a left turn, not too sharp, lots of room, good clean coarser pavement, no oil or residue of any kind. Can this be developed further?
  24. Yep, that's what I thought, so how did I manage to go down the road with the kickstand down???
  25. Already done, the fund must be needing money. That's what got me wondering, if the kickstand was down, the bike shouldn't start or run, but how could it be down when I turned the corner, cause it was down!
