  1. Scott,,, you did great,,, really,, yes you did,,,,, but look at the picture in post #55,,, picture#2,,,, you didn't introduce us to the folks sitting in the background. Now I realize that the chain is heavy,,,, but you did say that this was a VR M&G didn't you??? and that there were going to lots of folks there??? leading us poor uninformed Canucks to believe that these were alllllll VentureRiders...... so introductions please???? I also got the drift of the exercise first thing in the morning,,, taking us out for a ride on the squidleys and twisties,,,, trying hard to confuse our minds so that we might not be right on the bit when it came to lunch time,,, nice work!!!! you can now join the VARMIT collection and take your rightful spot in the line-up.
  2. Hey Puc,,, we have a tradition here north of the border. Now it would be a real M&G for us if you could handle that tradition. The tradition is: The organizer introduces each and everyone of the guests!!! I know you can come up with a lot of stories, but this may be stretching the chain a bit. can you do it???
  3. Hey and don't go nuts,,, you started it!!
  4. I use the paper towel, just got to make sure I have enough,,,, have no idea why they have a blower there,,, nobody uses it,,,, course could be handy if I mess a bit, then I could dry off my tippies.
  5. Side by side eh???
  6. Guess you joined the other 20 that read this post so far,,, wonder what attracted everybody??
  7. Maybe if you had been around first thing in the morning, you might have the answer to that question,,,, not saying anything about seating on the Spyder, or how it handles 2-up,,, or whether I heard anything that the Pucster complained about,,, it's just that I was busy riding and had my helmet on, and mostly concerned myself with what was ahead of me,,, more so than what was behind me. Not that any of this means anything,,,,,, but now back to the hugs,,,,,,glad you got a good one,, could happen to no better man!!!

  9. And she gave me a big hug,,,,,,,, yep!!!! She's famous!,
  10. Thanks Puc for putting this on,,,, met some great future VentureRiders,,,, but most of them were looking to see if the Spyder could actually outrun them. You sure have a lot friends in that there neck of the woods,,, 'course it helps if you offer free hotdogs,,, and they were kind of good actually,,, but not as good as some I have eaten,,, but that's another story for another day,,, I wouldn't want to take away your thunder. Riding around your parts was really nice as well,,, did you find some roads just for us?? and that Tippy girl,,, now she is one of a kind,,, and of Dutch decent as well,,, no wonder then that you get along so well. Thanks for the 'motel' and the coffee,, I hear it's kind of scarce in that part of Pure Michigan, so I was impressed even more when a mug was produced just for little ole me.
  11. TCI not usually a problem on the second gen,,, more often plugs or coils,,,,, change the plugs first and then go from there.
  12. From what you said so far the first place I would look would be the ignition. Take of the the air box and squirt some carb cleaner into each carb separately to rule out carburation. If the squirt smooths out the idle, that is a trouble cylinder, if it slow the rpms then that cylinder is firing but you flooded it, so good for now. Fuel usually doesn't go in spurts, but ignition does. Put a new set of plugs in her to get started.
  13. Something else to keep in mind. If you decide to 'bumper' tow, put a hitch on the front as well. Takes only a few minutes to shuck the trailer, turn around and hook to the front of the truck,,, now you can put that trailer in a baby crib. When we had our MH it had a front hitch, and although I never had a need for it, the former owner used it lots foe his boat and it worked beautifully.
  14. If your 83 is that squirrelly you might want to check the frame for cracks. 83s have been know to crack their frames and that would make the frame have kind of a loose like feel under duress.
  15. All agreed so far. I can add a double thought for slide out, wouldn't buy anything without at least one good sized one for living quarters. Also often forgotten, if you buy a fifth wheel, don't skimp on sleeping room,,, some have it and some do not. You have to be comfortable there as well. Often the reason some are so cheap,,, they just have a bad layout and low head room,,,, not good.
  16. Looks like he's sporting a mini on the front,,,, good shot!
  17. Looks like your wife is just fine,,, didn't even get wet,,, what ever you did, you did it right.
  18. Good lookin scooters,,,, now you have more decisions,,,, good luck!
  19. Don't sweat it Richard, cooler days coming, and then there be Snow!!!
  20. We are planning to spend a few days riding in the Kawartha\Eastern Ontario region. We are staying away from any big cities, want to spend time seeing country. Anything in that area that should be visited, lake cruises? places to eat well? museums? lookouts?
  21. I won't be able to make this event for the next two weeks. Gonna be riding the Kawarthas next week and the week after I got a meeting. Should be able to join in on the 5th again.
  22. I would think that the coffee would run out when it's on it's side like that,,,, but hey, all the more reason to stop for another cuppa.
  23. I'd go with getting the wrong jets in the wrong places when you redid the carbs,,, can give you all kinds of issues.
  24. There he goes again,,, what a nice guy,,,, sure goes well and you deserve it.
  25. If your slide doesn't fit well, and the insert won't stay put, my guess is the slide is cracked. hard to see sometimes, but if you get the light just right you'll see it.
