  1. Thanks Don. And Wishing that each and everyone of the riders, passengers and additional families of the VentureRiders find true peace from the One who Christmas is all about.
  2. This is a great time of year, a time for families to get together, get away from daily concerns to enjoy each others company and fellowship, maybe even get along for a day or so. We tend to forget what this celebration is really all about. Actually, it's a way, the only way, for any of us to get to heaven. If it hadn't been for the miraculous birth of The Redeemer, then there wouldn't be a chance to attain the peace and goodness that heaven promises to be. So let's celebrate the fact that there is an avenue to get there. Let's thank the King of kings and the Lord of lords for coming. Blessings to you all for the celebration, and may peace and prosperity be yours in the New Year.
  3. One of my favorites, it's always my favourite when I hear about the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
  4. Not really, we do need a couple of days notice this time of year, if we are to get there on time. NOW!!!! can you do snow as well?
  5. Wow!!!! More Greek. I like Canoukian better, at least I know: SNOW,,,,,, and there hasn't been any. I think the old Fool has been sucking it all away, gonna have to get the Bummer to close the door for Christmas.
  6. You may have used the wrong kind of sticky material to hold them in place when you installed them. You don't want to use something that gets hard.
  7. Hope to see you there, along with your misses.
  8. Back when I was 55, my wife and I discussed retirement and concluded that it would be best if I waited until I was old enough. That being said, we thought that 80 would maybe be the limit,,but then,,,,,,,,, I retired at 61, my son took over the business, and I was out of work, and I figured too old to look for a new job. I have been busy ever since, but am able to say: nooooo not today, we'll do that maybe tomorrow. Today I have enough work ahead of me to keep 2 guys busy, my second oldest daughter just bought a house that needs some work. House was built in 1933 and has had some updating, but we are doing a lot of renovating. Not my real kind of work, but I'm helping her anyways. Retired just means that a feller can work on a nap every afternoon, sometimes after supper and mostly before going to bed. It's not always as easy as it seems, and sometimes I struggle to keep it up, but hey, it's my favourite past-time so I work hard at it.
  9. Could be,,, yep could be,,, but often enough the intake can be plugged, although sometimes it's the ignitor. The pull start seems to be working and in a few minutes the ignitor may kick in as well by the look of things. So it could be the carbs. Or on second thought it could be the operation of the operator and getting a different gender to work the operation might just do the trick.
  10. Why not try changing the plugs first, it might not be so bad as all that.
  11. I think Saddlebum figured you didn't need the door anymore, seeing as you weren't around to close it. It's steel eh, and the tariffs have had steel take a different turn, so being of Dutch decent (not a spelling mistake) he probably has it hidden away to use as collateral.
  12. Prayers are always available. We'll hold you up to our Father that He will help you in this regard as well.
  13. I think you did right boss, and 20 would be a good number. That way if a spammer wants to post some links or what ever, they have a bit of work ahead of them first, and work doesn't seem to be in their vocabulary. Good thoughts, carry on.
  14. I don't think that SkyDoc has HEAT. He doesn't live North of the border and it's a big thing in Can A Da. You'll have to emport it. What ever you do, don't ride with stiff rubbers!
  15. Now that you've pointed it out, I realize that your first post refers to your 07 and not the 86, sorry, my bad, I should have thought better about the 86, it probably doesn't need any work for upkeep or maintenance. It's still from the old school and looks after itself I bet. Now the 07,, yes,,, you would be well advised to do deep maintenance on it, but you won't have to worry about CLASS, that is only reserved for the first gens, because they HAVE class. And no worries about the washer fluid, you can fill it if you want, but we've had enough rain here to last for some time, so if you leave it that won't bother us none. Changing the air over to winter air is of utmost importance as any member here can attest to. The reason being that during the colder weather the rubber of the tire seems to get a bit stiffer and when things get stiff(er) it is best to add some heat to make things useful again and be able to run at full capacity. So winter air, for your info, contains an additive called HEAT, (High Exhaustion Amplitude Transducer) which in your case might be somewhat helpful, not meaning anything by that, just saying. I know that for some others it has been beneficial and somewhat helpful at times, all I can suggest is that you might give it a try if you're so inclined.
  16. That's the problem with you new kids, you just think that everything just runs and runs and never need maintenance. Just because it's electronic doesn't mean that it don't need some love and care. Your speedo needs speedo juice just as any other speedo did in the past. What you need is called 'Electronic Flow Enhancer' EFE for short. All speedos should receive a treatment at least once a season, and more often under adverse conditions. If you find that the needle on your device is not consistent with the road speed you think is right, then it is high time that you induce some EFE. Many times the needle will start to stick, especially at the lower end of the scale where you might have an disagreement with the award dept of your local constabulary. So if that is a concern to you, you would be well informed to add a few drops from time to time.
  17. Might I suggest to take all the brakes apart, master and calipers, clutch master and slave, kill switch assembly, lube the cables and swing arm, lube the speedo head, add stainless steel brakes lines and clean the CLASS control unit under the trunk.
  18. Let me count as to how many ways we can miss you,,,,,,, Don't bother me yet, I'm still counting, I'll get back to you when I done. Stick around man, it ain't all that expensive, and you just never know what good may come from hanging around, hey!! you might be able to help somebody. Blessings either way.
  19. Sounds to me like you got it set to backfire, what did we do wrong???? Just a word of caution..... if it does backfire then the chances are real good that the results will only rebound and then there is no telling where or when it might end up, then you might not be cornfused anymore but totally snofused.
  20. Probably there to mount a curb sensor so that you don't lean too far. Aren't we a helpful bunch!!
  21. Marcarl

    Thanks

    He said it very well!!
  22. I'd say that was well put together, together being the focus word.
  23. My granddaughter Tiffany put this together back in 2012. While web surfing I rediscovered it and just thought it might be nice to share. Maybe a bit late for this year, but in plenty of time for next year, and who says that we should only remember once a year. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=eric+norg&view=detail&mid=854018C61A623CEE84DB854018C61A623CEE84DB&FORM=VIREps://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=eric+norg&view=detail&mid=854018C61A623CEE84DB854018C61A623CEE84DB&FORM=VIRE
  24. My ears could be playing tricks, but it sounds like your starter clutch is not grabbing. Maybe you could do another vid with the mic a bit further away and to the left of the bike
  25. Maybe this will help. You'll need to go down a bit to see the bit sizes chart. https://affordablegokarts.com/pages/how-to-drill-the-main-jets
