  1. Sand Hills is nice, but a loooong way DOWN to the beech, and then back up again to get more beer. We will be attending Rock Point PP in Dunnville, close to the beech, nice park, good staff, clean washrooms, quiet surroundings, but the beech is mostly gravel.
  2. Don't forget the new horns, side-stand plate (can't use an old one for a new Venture now can ya?), LED lights for the rear, and while you're at it some for the front and side, brake pedal cover, billet shifter, heated passenger grips, navigation system upgrade, tour trunk rack bag, saddlebag liners, NO you're not done yet. Got to keep the economy on a roll there bro!
  3. Well that's a bummer, Marca is camping with me as well. Where are you guys going?
  4. Ya well, if you had come to the WNY rally you wouldn't be LOLing so late in time, you'd still be nursing sore stomach muscles from being there in person, not only from the laughter, but also from other things such as good food.
  5. Would it help or hinder if I attended then?
  6. You are so right!! You missed out though, last night I had a weak moment and Saddlebum had to suffer with the results,,,, next time maybe, if there is a next time, but then when was the last time a volcano froze over.
  7. AHHH think nothin' of my friend, I think it was my turn anyways, so now it's your turn. Meet you at the Keg this weekend?
  8. He could have joined us EH? after all he was almost here!
  9. So are you now offering to buy ICE CREAM?
  10. Lookin real good Uncle Bob, just can't seem to find my stone, but that's alright, it's probably buried, holding everybody else in place.
  11. What's with these deers lately? Haven't they been taught that riding motorcycles is not something they can do? Glad to here you 2 is ok and able to mend. Maybe next time take some pillows along for Tina, can't get her all scratched up.
  12. Now I just noticed that the hair in your beard is turning just a little grey and the stick you have a hold of is shaking,,,,, are you alright?
  13. Boy oh boy,,, that sure do sound somewhat familiar. Now I don't have any Waverunners, but the story does have a real familiar ring to it. I'm thinking that you're not really alone in that club, but it is your turn to buy the beer!!
  14. The first time I read that line, my brain thought I was again into some money,,, but then I thought: this is from Saddlebum so not so possible seeing as he is of Dutch decent, the I re-read and noticed the spelling wasn't cheque but check,,,, now what kind of friendship is that?
  15. Guess we had better attend, seeing as I posted on the calendar that we would. Gonna be a good day, I can feel it already!!
  16. Thanks for posting Brenda. Where is Texas?
  17. Now that's news to me, didn't know there were two seals.
  18. That's an OUCH!!! Good thing to have friends though and a Wing. Glad you didn't give up riding. Question though, did she buy you a coffee?
  19. Yep, it all depends on the seasons, timing and heat of spring, how the summer developed, timing of the first frost, amount of rainfall,,, it's hard to pinpoint it at this time yet, hence a flexible date.
  20. I read a saying the other day: There are those who love bacon, and then there are others, and they're wrong! Somehow I think that kind of works in this scenario as well. So can we say: There are those who have dropped their scoot............... Or: There are two kinds of riders, those who have dropped their ride and those that will do that yet?
  21. I'm thinking, just thinking mind you, to go for a color ride on Saturday October 13th 2018. It all depends on the weather and maybe some other things, but it's in my thought plans. The timing I think should be good with Thanksgiving out of the way nice and early this year. The route would be or may be or possibly could be from Brantford to Collingwood and back again. I'm thinking breakfast somewhere around Guelph, Orangeville and lunch in the Collingwood area. I also think that it might be a good time to get lost at times, just to see what the country view can offer. I'm thinking to leave home about 7 or 8 am and be back before bedtime, should be full day. I don't mind having more scooters coming along, if even for part of the ride. Once it's decided as to the route the timing can be worked out more accurately. Wanta go? Let me know!
  22. Got er done, thanx for the info
  23. I bet it's a Honda. Maybe a VFR1200.
  24. Sometimes the center connector in a fitting will stick and needs to be freed. Check the ground at the light socket, run a test light from the battery or known power source to the socket jacket, the light should come on, if not, there is a ground problem. If there is no power coming from the bike you need to find out why. Not sure about a 2nd gen, but some systems are fused separately, maybe even have a different flasher. Are the 4 ways working and does it work with the 4 ways?
  25. Are you blinking at the wrong time?
