  1. Bubber....I will be at Kenny's this Saturday out dere in Bogulasa. Shooting for a 12 Noon arrival time unless Kenny wants to start earlier..... Boomer.....who sez put on clean underwear/socks and ride fer Bogalusa!!!
  2. Kenny that sounds good to me. Today I ordered a new front tire from SW which should be here early next week (22-25 Feb). Getting new tires on and a carb snych will do a lot for my piece of mind! Could you PM me your home addy and phone number? As it stands now the only thing that will hamstring this is the darn weather. Boomer.....with regards and respect.
  3. I wish I did have an area here.I'm living in an Apartment with no garage and the Parking area is a real joke as well. Yesterday I changed the oil/filter on a city sidewalk.....LOL! Boomer.....who hopes to hit the Loozeeanner Lottery and will immediately BUY A HOUSE WITH A FREAKING GARAGE!!!!
  4. No face to face meets...... but I am on the Statewide Mission Alert List. Boomer.....who hasn't seen ANY local PGR
  5. That is a 4 hour ride for me.Problem is I'm not sure I'll have enough tread on the rear tire to make a run that distance by the date you specified:whistling:. Boomer
  6. Dang if I don't learn something every time I come to this Site!!! Boomer.....who always appreciates a smart a$$ cuz he is one too.
  7. Any darn time in early March will work for me. I have to order a new front tire and brake pads for the scoot from Southwest and plan to do that this week for sure.....As soon as I find out the tire sizes that is. I lost a lot of info on the bike when I departed CT. Boomer......with regards and respect.
  8. Are there any Maintenance Days scheduled for Loozeeanner or East Texas for March? I'm at the point where I'm going to need a new set of tires, brakes, and a carb synch done on the scoot. I'd rather pay the labor $$$ to a Member here and learn how to do this rather than throw the $$$$ at a Stealer. Boomer.....who will gladly buy the beer too for anyone willing to help me out.
  9. After waxing and changing the oil/filter on my scoot I hit the road today. 200+ miles on all backroads with the sun out and temps in the upper 50's. Boomer.....who sez the best way to hammer a hangover is to get out there and ride.
  10. We partyed it up purty good here in Lafayette,Carencro, and Church Point......Never went near New Orleans and the hordes of pick-pockets. Boomer.....who has as much use for New Orleans as a blind man with a color TV.
  11. Mardi Gras is finally over and done here. Boomer......who has had enuff partying to last until next year.
  12. IMHO I think we are getting all this cold/snow cuz we are not buying enuff Canadian whiskey from our neighbors to the North. Boomer.....who sez slug em down and keep dem Bartenders humping.
  13. There might just be something to that my friend! Boomer.....who has a truck big enuff to haul down the amount of snow that dropped heah this morning.
  14. We got a LIGHT dusting of snow here in the Lafayette/Opelousas area this morning. Darn near busted a gut laffing when the weather forecaster was saying how folks should be putting on SNOW CHAINS...... Boomer.....who watched a whole bunch of Cajuns sliding all over de place heah this morning.
  15. If I am not there it certainly won't be because I didn't make an honest effort to get there! Boomer.....who now has to figger out just where the hell Georgia is.....
  16. Yes I am home for good now. The riding season will break wide open here by the end of February. I have no plans for work...the cost of living is such that I'm sure I can live on my Pension. (Fingers still crossed on this). As far as a meet-up with anyone here I am game for that. The scoot will need a new set of tires and a carb synch by next month....I'm gonna contact Squidly and set-up a trip to his place in Houston for that....If he's willing that is. Keep me in mind for any/all Invites guys....Really looking forward to meeting all and doing some great rides as well. Boomer.....who sez let the good times roll and to hell wit that Who Dat crap.
  17. Relatives found me a nice 1 bedroom Apartment. After numerous shopping trips the place is now completely furnished and good to go and I have moved in. Hooked up with some great bike riders at 2 well known biker-friendly places. They went ape for my Midnight Venture and so far I have not seen ONE Venture in all my travels around heah. Eating a lot of good home-cooked Cajun food and this Saturday a whole passel of us are riding up to Mamou La. for the big Mardi Gras held there annually. The weather-guessers are calling for sunshine and temps in the mid-50's which equates to fine riding weather for me. Take care and be well all!! Boomer.....who's riding hard in de flatlands of Loozeeanner now and durn happy about it too.
  18. Henry has a solid rep for quality and durability. I bought my son the Henry bolt-action .17 and that rascal was right on target at 200 yards. Excellent varmint gun....One-shot...One-kill. IMHO you will not regret the $$$$ spent on a Henry regardless of the caliber. Boomer.....who left Connecticut before he could test the rifle accuracy on his MIL at 500 yards.
  19. De word on the street is dat those 1st Genners are using tons of dat Sea Bond to keep all the plastic together on those Maytags...... Boomer...,.who sez don't blame me for the rumors started by dem Harley girls.
  20. You folks do know that if I didn't like and respect all of ya I could really the give the Mods heah a hard run fer their money! Boomer.....who sez don't blame me when ya kick a egg-sucking sleeping dog and he turns yer buttocks into hash to go wiff his eggs.
  21. After eating chicken bar-b-q.....dirty rice.....tater salad......chicken and sausage gumbo.....I napped through the 1st half of the game. Boomer....who sez the Championship game was far better and kept everybody awake.
  22. For the 1st time since 1972 the weather forecast for Noo England is NOT going to have any impact on my plans to ride tomorrow. Whoudda thunk it!! Boomer.....doing a nekkid happy dance, slugging down a cold beer, and won't be making no more yaller snow.
  23. At least the guy didn't have to call Maytag for replacement parts! Boomer....who figgers some 1st Genner peed in the road where dat 2nd Gen slid in easy.
  24. Squid that is exactly what I intend to do as soon as the weather warms up. For now the bike is running great but I forsee a carb synch and new rear tire by the end of February. I'll let ya know when the time comes and I'll gladly roll to Houston. Regards and respect......Boomer
  25. Thanks for the offer Rsstar.....I'm going to see if I can attend a Maintenance Day event somewhere near here in the near future. the scoot is running great now but I really want to learn how to synch my own carbs. Boomer.....who don't need a heated garage here in Loozeeanner....
