I am uploading some photos of the RSV to Webshots.com URL to be posted soon. I test rode a 2010 Honda Gold Wing and I am 99% sure I want one.... Now to get the insurance claim settled and to find a new or used Gold Wing. Anybody know of any good deals on an ABS equipped Gold Wing? I will also be selling off some RSV accessories that were never installed or I took off before the wreck. Gotta inventory them and post to the classified section.

$20,090 for the RSV S as the RSV is not made...... $22,899 for the base Goldwing $25,399 to add navi and xm $26,599 to add ABS $27,999 to add Airbag However the GW does not come with a CB and it is about $1K MSRP to add...... Honda is offering finaincing rates as low as 1%...... but I'll just bring my checkbook and try to get a lower price.

MrsSquid and I were on the last day of a 12 day vacation to the north shore of Lake Superior when I ran into a ditch just after a hairpin turn, on the INSIDE of the corner..... We were having a great time. We met up with a shipmate of mine who lives in western Minnesota riding around, seeing the sights. I blame my self as it only took a few seconds of inattention to ride into a ditch. Progressive told me the bike is worth $12,400 and it suffered enough damage to be totaled..... I am perplexed as I did not think the bike was worth that much or that it took that much damage. I looked at the online pricing sites Nada lists a high retail as $11,085 and KBB lists $10,795 (BTW, the midnight venture has a high price on NADA of $12,050) I will try to get some photos of it as it is at the local multi-brand dealership...... Live and learn. Physically we are OK, but MrsSquid got some nasty 2nd degree road rash on her left arm. I got 1st degree road rash, a bruise on my chest where I broke the windshield and a really sore and bruised thigh where the clutch handle pressed against me. Neither of us have broken bones and MrsSquid is VERY thankful for wearing an armored textile jacket as it saved her shoulder. Both of us were wearing helmets so they took the damage. We are so thankful to GOD that we were not hurt worse!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, I need to go motorcycle shopping.......

I have a funnel shaped device that holds a #1 cone filter. it works great. There are several ideas HERE. Scroll down to the 1 Cup Pour Over Brewers section.... or lower to the Cone Filter Holders to see what I have. Mine is made of plastic and cost about $5 as it came with a "insulated cup" that now has been recycled. Whatever you get it should be made from inert materials and be very durable. Anoter idea is to cold brew overnight.

Wait for a moonless night, turn off the yard light and it should be dark enough. OR you might mask off the skylight for the test.

KiteSquid replied to RSTDdog's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I would bet it is THIS one..... Similar but non-rattaching...... I found it for as low as $36 plus shipping.... on the Internet with a quick search, but you can probably buy it locally for less once you include shipping charges.... -
I remeber a skit with the original cast of Saturday Night Live where they had a simular product........ FUNNY!!!!!!!

Cheap, replacement air cleaners - are there?
KiteSquid replied to Semi-retired's topic in Poor Man Tips and Fixes
Actually the K&N does not trap as much dirt as the factory equipment filter does. I will NOT put a K&N type air filter on any vehicle I own...... -

I doubt a drug store will sell Ethyl alcohol (AKA ethanol) without denaturing it.
