  1. So you all don't worry about me having to drive home, it was ok. My left eye is way more dominant then the right. Over the years I guess the good eye has overcompensated for the bad eye. So actually I didn't need it to drive. The only real pain was the tearing but I had tissue to stick under my glasses. Kinda like a make shift patch. Must have looked interesting from outside the truck. It really was no big deal, did feel like a bee sting when he zapped me, but by the time ya feel it it's over. Margaret
  2. Hey now I only had a small glass of you're fat bastard. Ruffy drank the rest. That is funny though. Keep em coming. Can't upset me I live with muffinman. Do continue to something should come of it. Oh and what's with both my name and my screen name did ya think I wouldn't know who you were talking to? Margaret
  3. Well there's a lot of us in NC if you need something. Plus any of us could probably meet up with you along the way. I live on the mainland side of the Albemarle sound which is the northern end of the OBX, got plenty on the southern end as well. Enjoy you're trip weather should be pretty decent. Up at my end there's kitty hawk, with the wright bros memorial, which is pretty cool. Jockey's ridge is a big sand dune, you might want to stop at it (no fee for that) but be prepared for the hike up the sand. Hwy 12 is a nice ride sound on one side ocean on the other. Well I'll let you make you're own plans. Be safe getting here. Margaret
  4. Ok the chair didn't adjust but the equipment does. So I didn't have to worry about being too short. Margaret
  5. I know you have no idea what that is unless you had one, maybe even two. It's laser surgery to prevent closed angle glaucoma. Now nobody in my family has glaucoma, but that never stopped me before. Gotta be first sometimes. So back in March I went to get my eye's checked for new glasses (got bifocals) and found out I'm a candidate for glaucoma (who knew I didn't sign up for this, someone must have nominated me). Anyway I totally forgot to ask if I could get contacts because he kinda threw me with that one. He told me my eye pressure was a bit high (for info normal pressure is between 12 and 22) I was at 18. So I had to go back in April to see if it was still high, it was. So today I had my iridectomy. They put a bunch of drops in my eye and one of them was to do the opposite of dilating your eyes. (my pupil is literally a dot) They put this lens in my eye to direct the laser to the right spot. That felt kinda weird too. Plus they put a jelly on it which feels kinda gooey. Then a really quick zap (he said it would feel like a bee sting, wish he hadn't said that) Then it was over. Then I had to drive home with my eye watering like a faucet was turned on. It's finally a bit more normal now. I go back next thursday for my check up and I'm guessing to make my next appointment for the other eye. He said to check it, but I'm betting it has to be done as well. His tech was cute she asked if I'd had this before I said no she was surprised cause I was so calm. I've had plenty of stuff done to my right eye over the years. I was born with Ptosis (don't pronounce the P) plus astigmatism and lazy eye all in the same eye. Now I have this and I also seem to have floaters in that eye. Talk about piling on. But I've been going to ophthalmologists since I was 6 months old so I'm use to it. Plus since they found this out so early I shouldn't have any damage to my eyes now from that. So you really should get your eye's checked every year never know what you might catch early. Glaucoma doesn't have any real noticeable symptoms till it's doing damage. Well that's my PSA for the day. Margaret
  6. Yeah I guess using only one hand would be a bit tough, especially if it's the hand you normally use. Take care of that concussion can't have ya dizzy now. Glad to hear all the rest is healing up nicely. Margaret
  7. Actually they were all benches. Margaret
  8. Congrat's Tom and Taters!!! Wow I got one more year then you guys. Oh and we gals know how lucky you are Tom and so do you. Here's to many many more years. Margaret
  9. That was ridiculous. There was no call for that sort of treatment to that young woman. I can't even type what I really think. Is there any political or legal action that she can take due to that treatment. Anything could have happened to that young woman after they sent her on her way. Margaret
  10. Very impressive. Now you have to go down to Barbados what a hardship that part is. Sorry just teasing. I hope he does well, but he's done great so far. The fact that he stayed away from the steroids in that field is quite a feat and something to be very proud of. Margaret
  11. Ask and ye shall receive. How's that for proof? Had to get it from Bobbie's pics. Margaret
  12. Ok so how was this hot date? Are ya gonna tell us anything? I mean you did mention it so I'm just saying...... If ya didn't want us to know you shouldn't have mentioned it. Besides I think some of us have ways of making you talk. Wonder how many cheesecakes or pies this would take? Margaret
  13. There's plenty of stuff with wild names just can't say it here, I'm not a moderator so I can't get away with it.:crackup: Margaret
  14. I'll see if I can keep these boys in line while you're gone Annie. :whistling:You hang tough you've been through a lot. Hopefully this will be it for a long time. Margaret
  15. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. Besides if ya can wrench on a car you can figure out the bike with some help. I noticed you mentioned this is your first real bike, might want to sign up for a safety course. Good luck with the bike and getting her running. I'm sure you'll really like it once you get some riding time on her. Margaret
  16. There were no pics of me in a high chair since I didn't need one. :whistling:I could have used a step stool. My feet didn't touch the floor, but I wasn't the only one. Last years trip to the crab shack I didn't need a high chair either. I even could touch the floor from my chair. Margaret
  17. Well ya better hope she's the only one with a camera at that event. Cause if you're strapped to her back that's a pic waiting to be taken. Margaret
  18. Guess we need to get out the schnitzel and see who talks. Or would that be cheesecake? Margaret
  19. Right now it's more important for him to heal up. We'll pray for a speedy recovery. Just tell him to take his time don't want to re-injure that back while it's healing. Margaret
  20. Well ya still got all of us. Not sure if ya think that's a blessing or not, can be kinda scary with this bunch. We love ya Lowell, looking forward to seeing ya on the road. Margaret
  21. Evidently its a bit dry. Not my taste but Ruffy enjoyed it a lot. He slept really well that night too. Next time we all get together I'll bring a bottle of something, for ya to try. Margaret
  22. Didn't see any gators while we were there. They must have been hiding cause the VR folks were in town. Margaret
  23. Here's a few of the pics at Ruffy's house. I took a few of the kids Zeus and Zena and I got one of the cat Dragon. The last pic is of Jean's mother's day present. Margaret
  24. Here's a few pics of a bottle you might recognize. Evidently the flash obscured the label, but I think you might recognize it anyway. Margaret
  25. Here's the few pics I took at the meet in Florida. I got a couple of George and Bobbie together, plus some of Bobbie. It's hard getting pics of the two of them together, Bobbie is usually busy taking pics. Had a great time, can't wait to do it again. Margaret
