This is a link to an interesting article and pictures about taking $1000 bikes on a 1000 mile ride. The author chose to take his 83 Venture. There are some very nice pictures available. Enjoy, RandyA http://www.pashnit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1751

Would you call your best bikin buddy over to help you get out of a jam even though you knew ahead of time that he was going to laugh at you for how you got into that jam?? Worse yet...how about if he'd only agree to help you if you posted pictures of the jam you got yourself into? PS: both tires are in the air!

Saturday morning I broke my stupid clavicle. Got a little road rash on my knee and the back of my shoulder as well as my left hand. I know how you guys like pictures so here it is: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/gibvel/100_0720.jpg Oh, and the bike? Well, the bike is totally fine. Perfect condition. I did this while I was jogging!!!

Does anyone know where I can find some quality pictures of a 07 Venture for my screen saver? The best I can find is only 400 x 300 and they look like crap on a scren saver.

Since the riding season is coming to a close in the north east, I thought I'd put together a compilation of pictures from the various rides that I was lucky enough to attend this year. Once the snow flies, I should be totalling about 25,000 kms on the RSV and another 5,000 on the Virago for the year - arguably, not too shabby for a working man. The new release is out now ... after much editing and head scratching about what music to play, what pictures to include and which ones to leave out, the "LAMP (London Area Motorcycle People) Production Company" has finally released its first film... To view it, simply go to the following link: The new release is out now ... after much editing and head scratching about what music to play, what pictures to include and which ones to leave out, the "LAMP Production Company" has finally released its first film... I have heard here and elsewhere the odd time of someone who has or built a rack to carry a bicycle on a motorcycle. Does anyone have pictures or more details of how to make one, or where or how the bicycle is carried?

Getting ready to walk out the door to get my new scoot. It's been a very long month without one. The wife has been in withdrawls not riding. Looks like a good weekend for some riding. I'll post pictures and give you more information when we get back. Hopefully Friday evening. It'll probably be that long before I decide to get off the bike. Let the riding begin.

After a good night's rest and a few cups of coffee , Wild Hare is on the road again, heading west on I-20 towards Atlanta! Where he stops next, only Sleeperhawk and Mechanic know!!!!:cool10: P.S. I took over 650 pictures of this weekend, have edited them down to about 619 and Sleeperhawk will start the tedious task of uploading them to Photobucket later!:)

The last time I tried Google, it showed a vacant field where my house is. I don't know if they have updated their maps or now. I just tried Live Earth though and it is showing pictures within the last couple of years. Here is the one of my place. Luckily it was taken while those pond monsters were present. My Place

Anatomy of a Muffler These pictures and comments were sent by GeorgeS. Not exactly "free flowing" mufflers huh? Here are his comments and the pictures. Don, Here are the muffler disassembly photos, if anybody is interested in what is inside of them. Lots of baffles and back pressrue. I have completed rebuilding them. Sounds like a stock Harley FLH if you adjust for 4 cylinders. More base sound, somewhat louder. Definitely more roll on power in 5th from 65 MPH. I plan to take a long ride to the mountains next month so I will need to pack more than the RSV luggage will hold. What are the best options for a passenger seat bag and/or a trunk rack bag? I want something I can stuff full of clothes and extra gear, keep dry in the rain, and not have me kicking myself because I should have gone a step up. Please include pictures and websites if possible. And in case you were tempted to say so, a trailer is out of the question right now. With 3 bikes and no cars in the garage I don't want to push for more right now. Thanks.

My dad has been gone for 10 years today. I still miss him very much. One of my fondest memories is of him teaching me how to ride a bicycle without the use of training wheels. This was no small task, since the only way I knew how to balance was to ride really fast. Thank goodness dad was big into jogging at the time! Here are some pictures: --Dad with one of his many fancy cars over the years. He loved his cars! --Me and dad sharing an apple. --Mom and dad being goofy for the camera.

When I bought my new old 84 Venture the previous owner gave me a chrome bumper that he thought was on the bike at one time. I haven't seen any pictures yet on this site that really look like what I have. Does anybody have any idea if there were ever chrome bumpers that go around the saddlebags for an 84 VR? Or has anybody ever seen something like that? I'm not sure if it will fit or how exactly how to put it on the bike. Any input or pictures would be greatly appreciated.
