  1. Still naked as a jay bird but got it running tonight. Started, ran & idled fairly good for what its been through. Stripped to frame, new engine, heads and a ton of other stuff. I so happy I could just poop. 2. It all started rather innocently last year. I was just surfing the net late one night for stuff for the 83 and up came a 85. The photos were so sweet. Beautiful curves, classy act and so available. I just had to have her. She was promising low maintenance and a easy start to the new season. As I got to know her I had to make her happy and do what I could to bring her what I thought would make her happy. My wife said just ride the bike. Today she sits apart and I am picking paint colors and finishes.. How did I get here!!!! What happened????? Why do I like it so much? !!!!!!!! Any suggestions on color???
  3. Turn on speakers, you'll enjoy this. Happy St Patricks day http://www.andiesisle.com/ThisBlessingIsForYou.html Ian
  4. The pipes on my scoot are "BUB"s and I must say, I'm not too crazy about them. I'm assuming the previous owner had the carb jetted and all, but I'd really prefer to have something different. In fact, I'd be happy with hollowed-out stock pipes... Anyone have any idea where to find some standard pipes without spending $500+?
  5. Happy Valentines Day to the ladies. Hope you get your fill of chocolates. :group cheers:
  6. Happy Ground Hog Day to all ! I am sorry that those of you in the East and South will continue with poor weather....... according to the Ground Hogs anyway! It is bright and sunny here with about 48*F and you know the bike is coming out for a ride! Enjoy the day all !! Ride safe!!!
  7. Was very excited to hear from Jonas last night. He called to see how everybody was doing and it was a nice surprise to hear from him. He is still working in Norway and putting in a LOT of hours...way too many but says that with the economic conditions in Iceland, he is happy to have a job. He won't make it back over this year but plans to visit again in 2011. I hope it happens, he is a true gentleman and it would be great to see him again.
  8. Seeing as how Yama Mama decided to only wish Happy New Year to all the Lady VR Members and snub all the male VR riders Here is a great big HAPPY NEW YEAR to all VR riders :dancefool:
  9. I want to wish all the Lady VR Members a very Happy New Year, for those I have met and for those I hope to get to meet someday. Please ride safe and enjoy every mile of your ride. Yama Mama:smile5:

  13. It's 11:15pm Thursday night here down-under - - 45 minutes until 2010. (You guys and gals up yonder and further west gotta wait a while longer.) So let me just say to y'all (by getting in first) HAPPY NEW YEAR ! ! ! :group cheers:
  14. I understand that Yammer was Santa's little helper this year. A person would think his friends wouldn't be conniving with one's wife without telling him about it. I'm happy anyway, I got extra chrome for Christmas....Thanks buddy.
  15. Just wanted to wish all of you happy holidays from Gary, Dane & I!! I made Dane a Shutterfly photo book with all of you in it for one of his Christmas presents. I can't wait to give it to him!!!! Happy Holidays from the Hanson's!
  16. Well even though this may not be the right location I need all the help I can get. I have a second interview tomorrow for a local job. It is not the dream job but it is in my field and could be very stable, which is very good. So here goes, any one that has a few extra prayers in them and would send them my way I would be eternally great full. The last interview went well and I felt pretty good about it before and after I left the interview. Well I was thinking I could do it on my own and then I realized I needed a little (a lot) of divine intervention. So I asked for help and asked that if nothing else I would be happy about presenting myself and who I am. Sometime when you go to interviews you try to tell the interviewer what they want to hear. I never was that kind of guy but It is easy to do. Anyway as I said the interview went well and I have been called back for a second interview on Thursday. I sure could use the help of the Man up stairs to give me the presence of mind to represent myself just as I did during the first interview. I look at it like this, as long as I am me and don't tell them what I think they want to hear Vs reality I will be happy with the out come no matter what. So if you could bend His ear a little to tell Him I could use His help again I would greatly appreciate it. And yes I will be asking for a little make that a lot of help directly myself. Thank all GIG Steve
  17. HAPPY THANKSGIVING from the Bosely's and Minimuffin. Had a wonderful day here on the Outer Banks. Partly Cloudy beautiful sunset on the sound. Setting outside enjoying the evening. Plenty of Food, Dessert, and Wine:whistling:.
  18. Happy T'Day. If we sit and count our blessings we can surely be thankful. Greetings from the Pilgrims's and one Indian.

  23. hEY GUYS MADDOG AND MY LITTLE PUPPEE WOULD LIKE TO WISH ALL IN VENTURERIDERS A SAFE AND MERRY XMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM DOWN UNDER.
  24. Well Muffinman is a happy guy now. His tools finally arrived. Now he can work with his own tools. The army gave him some to work with and were happy with how fast he got done what they asked. Now that he has his stuff he'll be working as much as possible and fixing anything that's sitting still long enough. His accommodations are a tent with 5 other guys. They have them partitioned somehow. I figured kinda like in an office for cubicles. They do have AC so it's pretty cool in there sleeping at night. He said the temps are down some now to only around 95. Which doesn't sound like much to us but it was 114 before. Of course that was cooler then Kuwait with 140. Just thought I'd keep you all updated on his fun in the dessert. Margaret
