    Bow-hunting ground blind

Am looking to buy a good ground blind for bow-hunting. I shoot an Oneida bow and need the interior height to be at least 68". Anybody selling one, or know of where one can be had for less then an arm or a leg? Thanks
  5. Hi, I have been having a lot of trouble with the bike since having a tire installed in the spring. I took the wheel off again to replace the back tire and discovered what I think might be a missing part. I have the axle bolt, and a washer that goes on just before the crown nut. Am i right in thinking that there should be a spacer/washer between the swing arm and the caliper housing, ? let me know , or if you have a picture/ drawing of the back wheel components it would be a big help. Thanks Gord
  6. What is the correct location of the thick washer on the right side of rear axle? Is it against the wheel hub or against the swing arm? This affects the rear caliper arm mounting position. The service manual does not clearly show this that I can find. Thanks, Gary gary@dinges.com
  7. Ok to set the stage. Krome Rose and myself were in Food Lion picking up some fat bombs when I went down an aisle with a young couple in it. It was obvious they were deeply in love, arm in arm snuggling. You get the picture. It was also obvious they just started living together by the following conversation. Ok now the young lady stops and says "I need to get some sugar for the coffee I bought today" To which the young man answers "But we don't have a coffee maker" Not to be put off, she responds with "I'm pretty sure you can make it in the microwave" I don't know if he just didn't want to hurt her feelings, or if he really didn't know himself, but he said, "I believe you might be right" I giggled to myself and walked on by.
  8. How does one tell if the swing arm is damaged? I also cant get grease to go into one fitting. Took it off cleaned it out but still grease wont go into fitting.
  9. I recently bought an '04 Midnight RSV. It has the small nubs on the side of the passenger backrest. My wife wants the backrest that has the arm rests which stick out about 6-8 inches. I've seen photos, but haven't found it for sale on www.starmotorcycles.com and haven't found any info on it in this forum, so please help me learn where to purchase it and what it is called. I have attempted to attach photos of other's bikes with the two different styles that I am trying to describe. What I want (studded): http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/IMG_0486.jpg What I have: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/IMG_0478.jpg Please reply if you can help. Thanks
  10. The 83/84 I just picked up has a problem shifting. The arm connected to the thru-stator cover shaft just wants to spin. I'm not sure what the problem is but suspect it may be the arm on the other end either coming off by loosing the circlip, or the spline being striped out. I'm never been in this area and my question is, How hard is it to get up in there to check things out? Can it be done without having to drop the exhaust and collector?? The motor is running great. Purrs. Anyone been there...done that???
  11. The bushings that connect the upper swing arm to the lower are loose on the swing arm. When I look up the parts on line it looks like they are 2 pieces, an outer and an inner bushing. How do I get the outer one (collar) out of the swing arm? They are worn so much that the bushing wobbles inside.
  12. Does anyone make passenger arm rests for the RSTD?
  13. I called Diamond R Accessories to order the swing out arm rests. They are out of stock and they are saying up to 10 weeks due to their suppliers not being able to keep up on the brackets. So, I am looking for a set from somone out there. Anyone???
  14. Hi all just installed the arm rests that I made for my ride. What do you think? Chuck http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/slowrollwv/2007_0408armrests0004.jpg
  15. here's some pics of one of my winter toys. just a few more things to wrap up. still have to install my extended swing arm.
  16. A Backhoe weighing 8 tons is on top of a flatbed trailer and heading east on Interstate 70 near Hays, Kansas ? The extended shovel arm is made of hardened refined steel and the approaching overpass is made of commercial-grade concrete, reinforced with 1 1/2 inch steel rebar spaced at 6 inch intervals in a criss-cross pattern layered at 1 foot vertical spacing. Solve: When the shovel arm hits the overpass, how fast do you have to be going to slice the bridge in half?? (Assume no effect for headwind and no braking by the driver...) Extra Credit: Solve for the time and distance required for the entire rig to come to a complete stop after hitting the overpass at the speed calculated above.? Yes, you can neglect friction.

    Arm Rests

I'm looking for Passenger seat arm rests for my 2008 Royal Star Venture. Any help would be appreciated. They don't have to be cheapest or anything, just something good. Have a nice ride and keep an eye on tire pressures!
  18. This is a 1stGen issue, but it's gonna take a 2ndGen part to cure the problem.... OK guys, be nice.... The heel toe arm on the Ventureline H/T on my '91 has about 9" between the pads. Too small of a spread. the pads actually sit over the floorboard and don't extend past the board like a 2ndGen's. The 2ndGen's shifter arm has a 13" span. I'd like to see if I can adapt one off a 2nd to make room for my big foot. I think it might fit. So..... if anyone has a used pedal arm laying around they no longer need I'd like to buy it off you.... Thanks.
  19. Just got a call from the yamaha tech rep. They are going to rebuild the rear end of my bike starting at the rear swing arm and going back. Maybe this will be the end of my problems.
  20. Thought i'd post a few for the folks that ain't ever seen one torn down. These are the few i thought to take during my frame change. Can you find the Ninja Turtle on a Motorcycle??? Picts are as follows... Putting in the engine. we used a come-a-long suspended from a tree. Rope around the heads. Putting in the engine, a big helper there. jake efter getting out of the hospital, on the way to NAS P-Cola (not sure how i got it in here) Upper triple tree clamp and hardware (blury) Uppre clamp removed. Naked frame. Broken frame from the top (cant tell much) Naked frame. Two naked frames. Rear section. A mess. Right side swing arm pin. Swing arm pin goes here. Another one. Left side swing arm pin. Swing arm removed.(shock still in place) Swing arm inspection plug. Rear shock. Frame reinforced by Woodys Welding Service. (The left side (pict left) is almost two low to get to the exhaust clamp) The Tropical storm moves in. O-ring (red is original) Another shot. This is a shot from the oil pan. another one another one More crap from the oil strainer(gasket, silacone, chewed up plastic and stuff) Another one (i found the chewed up o-ring and the steel ball in this mess) Red-neck engine lift. Trying to figure out what to do with a broken frame (blurry)
