you said a mouthful and i agree. it's the mind set of the american people. we are spoiled and have developed the everything will work out attitude, and every one has to have everything right now. well we are beyond everything just working out. it ain't going to happen this time. just look at the numbers. even i ain't that stupid not to see the picture. we are in ultra deep doo doo, and there ain't no fix, just a bunch of bandaids. anyone that thinks a super hero is going to take over as president and fix everything is a total absolute dreamer. this mess did'nt just happen over night i have watched it evolve my whole life. people slowly climbed into the fast lane and now the fast lane has done us in. bill

basically the same dot 4 has a higher temp rating . dot 3 will be fine for you brakes or clutch.

A response to popular demand: a Cowpuc Classic
Snarley Bill replied to cowpuc's topic in Watering Hole
can't let this go by without my opinion. the trouble with this country is us, human beings. we have greedy crooks in government, in business, in our neighbor hoods. in alot of us. until the human race learns to take responsibility for their own actions, including me this world is a loser. we always want to place the blame on the other guy. i look at some of my best friends and see major faults that makes them have major problems in life, but it is'nt there fault ,it's always some one elses fault. i evaluate myself every day and see things that i could do better to have a better life. i don't blame the government or the guy next door. i blame myself. the main man gave us two ways to go. some choose the wrong way and others choose the right way. unfortunately to many choose the wrong way. any one of us could be in government and be legit or want to fill their pockets. those people in government are just people like us. this country is screwed up because of your everyday human being. :stirthepot: -

the question is why does he have 3 or 4 children if he makes $12.00 per hour? not very fair to the children. i know what you mean. i work with guys that have families and make little more than that and i wonder how do they manage. when i was young i knew i could'nt afford kids so we did'nt have any. then as i got older and could of had them my wife and i enjoyed each other so much we never did have any. just never had time for kids. i have nothing against kids. it's everyones choice. bill

i use very little gas.i have a ranger truck that i fill about once a month, now that the weather is breaking. rode my bikes and majesty scooter all winter.the truck is the only thing i have beside my bikes. got this thing about saving energy, replaced bulbs with energy efficient flouresent. three new low water toilets, not really worried about the price of gas anymore. fat ass kennedy has alot more to lose than i do. he'll be buying his boo's at dirt cheap like the rest of us. the nice thing about not being rich is i don't have alot to lose. i'm using all the money i save on energy to enjoy the golden years and they are great. got my little castle here and everything i want to enjoy life. sure glad to be as old as i am. i would never in a million years go back. my wife says what are we going to do when the economy collapses, i said we will just get out our guns and protect our little castle, and find us a nice refrigerator box to live in on the street.lol. bill ps, my refrigerator box will be energy efficient. :rotf:

sounds like we are going to have a big turnout for eureka. i'm going to get going on the t-shirts as soon as my st.charles meet and eat is behind us. the way i am going to do it is put a design into shirts n things and post their website and everyone can order the size and amount direct. that way you will have them for the meet, and it will be much simpler. really looking forward to this year. we are gonna do some heavy duty eating, partying, and riding. bill

sure hate to be a boat or rv dealer. i imagine gas at the marinas around here has to be $5.00 a gal. our biggest boat dealer is clearing his lot. don't look like he is ordering anymore.

folks, the party's over. the arabs are taking us to our knees. so far i have been coping with it by careful planning. the next gen. is in deep trouble and has'nt got a clue. i'm in better shape than i ever have been. my wife and i are going to do the best to enjoy the rest of our days. i feel sorry for the youngsters that probably have nothing good to look forward to. i did my best all my life to buy american and save the country and be a good american, did'nt seem to work. gues the next gen. it going to have to cope with the legacy we left them. bill

the dragon is basically all about the braggin rights. no big thing if you live near it and can do it anytime you want. but in my area it is legenday conversation. it's neat to be able to say, been there done that when someone starts telling you all about it. we were there with the vogel group last year and just being there with a great bunch of fellow riders made it all worthwhile. there are several roads in arkansas that make the dragon look whimpy, but they just ain't the dragon. bill
-
i rode the dragon both ways and to me it was very special . sure there are alot tougher rides, but just being caught up in the whole thing made it a great time of my life. it was an experience i will always remember. plus i got all the dragon souvineers, when i wear my t-shirt there is always a biker that wants to ask me all about the ride. when i rode it i did'nt notice any problems with people breaking the law or driving crazy. it woukl be hard to do with all the traffic. bill
-
kind of disagree with you . the dragon is legendary world wide. frequented by bike clubs, car clubs, motor scooter clubs, and bicycle clubs. i think it should be a state park for people to enjoy, it is not a road i would like to travel daily. we have a state park in missouri that is about 40 feet wide and over 200 miles long. although motor vehicle are prohibited thousands of people enjoy using it weekly. the dragon should be a road set aside for the legend it is. bill
