so i'm at my partners apartment today when we get a knock on the door. he goes and answers the door and standing in the hall are two really derpy looking women asking if he owns the motorcycle in the driveway. so i go over and say its mine well it turns out the idiots backed their Chevy cobalt into my VR. so now the rear left saddle bag is all scratched where it got hit and the front right side of the fairing has some broken mounting tabs and shifted when it toppled over. my insurance must love me two not at fault claims in one riding season. (on a good note i now know i can pick up my bike super easy)

went to my uncles house last week end and he has an insanely steep driveway with a 90 degree turn half way up that is recessed in the middle, don't know what inspired me to stop there but i did and with front and rear tire propped up on the hills i put my foot down and nothing was there. smash onto the crash bars with my aunt and uncle sitting on the front porch wondering who the idiot fallen into the bushes is

ok so the grinding seems to be coming from the wheel located under the circuit board next to the motor -

all 3 seem fine -
you could just have the bearing recess bored and sleeved at a local machine shop
-
still havent found one, who knew this would be the rarest part of the venture if anyone know where there is one or has one for sale let me know please, i also need the chrome rack for it
-
ok first sorry to double post but i needed to bump the tread the problem is not quite fixed, im not sure why but everything will be fine for 200km or so and then it will leak for a few km then it goes right back to working. what would cause intermittent leaking, could the fuel pump be putting more pressure on the floats than its supposed to.

well you may want to get a cheep voltmeter and see what resistances your getting, also fire up the bike when its completely dark out and see if there is any sparking coming off the wires -

did you check to see if the hose for the vacuum advance popped off? when your in neutral does it rev up smoothly? -
so i am just kinda curious as to how old the average venture rider is, most say i am too young to ride an "old man bike" since i am only 19 but im sure im not the only one out there.

ok so you put the carb together, shove the hose in the drain hose and fill the carb reading the level in the hose against the markings on the carb correct? edit: ok so i did it the way i stated and i checked the floats for soft spots, they all seemed good i set the floats and put the carbs in they filled and the pump kicked out proped and no overflowing as of yet will see how they run tomorrow edit 2: its been 2 days since i adjusted the floats and have put 520 km on it with no leaking so it seems to have done the trick
