  1. That's easy .... Just tear your Bike completely apart, overhaul the Motor, update the Frame and get it powdercoated, mount everything back in Place and show them 2nd Genners HOW fast a good 1Gen will leave them back in the Dust .... :whistling::whistling:
  2. Well, i'm not feeling discriminated, altough we don't have Thanksgiving as a Holyday either. And, to be honest, 16 Holydays each Year are enough ... :happy-emoticon: I think this Thread should be deleted, though. Having a Beer Day as a Holyday is way out of Line. It's nothing short from a Scandal. Probably a bigger Scandal than letting Paris Hilton out of Jail earlier. Seeing those poor Guys from Iceland being seduced to Beer after 74 Years of relentless Effort, this is a SCANDAL !! !! Besides that, i haven't found a GOOD Beer there in 2001. :p:p
  3. Dang, i always miss the good Stuff ... :crying::crying:
  4. Happy Thanksgiving to y'all from over the Pond. Have a wonderful Day with all those who you like to have around you. And don't forget the Desert !! !!
  5. You're right Mike, but i figure it would be easier to match the Motor to the Harness/ Igniter Unit than fit the Bike to Motor, at least when you have to buy the VMX Igniter Unit and hassle with the Harness. But when TCI/CDI lays on the Bench ... When you mount the Carbs without V-Boost Intake, there's no Problem. Might cost some Power (80 kw rwhp to 88 kw rwhp on my Max) but it's more than any XVZ Motor anyway.
  6. Yesssssssssss ......
  7. You got both .... 7/8 on the 1Gen and 1" on the dark "Replacement"
  8. Not that i would remember
  9. Yes Lynn, you're right. The 2-Pickup Rotor has two separate Paths for the Trigger Points. I forgot to mention that. WHY did i ?? Don't ask .... I don't recall an Upgrade for 2nd Gear on the VMX, this only relates to the XVZ Models.
  10. That won't be a big Problem. Mechanically it fits right in and is bolt on. You will need to transfer the Shifter Linkage and the Shift Shaft, or make up a new Shifter Linkage Connection. This would be a better Solution, because the XVZ Linkage is always sloppy. The Feeding Line for the Clutch Slave is coming from above on the VMX instead of from underneath. You need to undo the short Tube Connector and mount the Line from underneath. Electricaly, you need watch the Pickup Coil. The Models since '90 use only a single Coil Pickup where the earlier Engines are two Pickup Coils. This is the same for XVZ and VMX Engines. So you need either a earlier VMX Engine or interchange the complete Stator Cover. I'd bring in solid Motor Mounts while i'm on it. And i'd check the Valve Clearances while the Motor ist out of the Frame.
  11. Hey, don't take Rick that serious, he recently converted to a 2Gen ...
  12. It's way out of being political correct and it's not my personal Opinion, but here's mine ... Two Guys from Poland meet at Work
  13. Sea Foam might cure the Hiccups on the long Shot. But i don't know about mixing Stabil and Sea Foam ??
  14. A rear Tire in a bigger Diameter is the only Way to lower the Revs on your Bike. But don't expect too much Improvement on the Consumption. It's probably gonna go the other Way. Sure these V4 have a Lot of Power and Torwue even on low Revs, but you won't do the Engine any good with lugging the Engine.
  15. At least you took best possible Advantage out of it !! !! :thumbsup2:
  16. Jack .. what happened to your Economy Stimulating Cheque ?
  17. Seems Down under is too far away to know it ...:rotf: Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving and the Shops give out huge Discounts and special Offers. Some Folks like to camp out on the Front Door just to get these Specials.
  18. Yeah, your Terminology isn't common and i misread/misunderstood your first Posting. So i have to take at least half of the Blame
  19. There can be only one central Adjuster Screw.
  20. George ... did this Learning Experience involve Whips ?? :big-grin-emoticon::big-grin-emoticon:
  21. The Price ain't bad at all. But there are so much Parts which won't match up on 1Gen Venture. All Jets are the wrong Size, Emulsion Tube and Needle Jet are also wrong. If we could make the Seller make up a fitting Jets and Emulsion Tube Kit, that'd fairly cheap. I suspect these are not Mikuni Parts but a japanese Aftermarket Brand. These wouldn't be bad Parts, but they're not original and the Diaphragm might be shot earlier than stock Mikuni Parts.
  22. Carb Enrichment Chamber isn't a Gasket. It's a Diaphragm.
  23. Sort of "free" .... :whistling:
  24. Now, that'd be against the Rules Squidley made up .. But Jonas will be at MD End of May, and if Lewis hasn't made it to his Gift by then, who knows what will happen there:crackup::crackup::crackup:
  25. I'd say, if you "set something up", you take out half of the Fun. Let the Chances make their Way.
