  1. Don't have time to wait to buy a jack adapter How and where do I put wood so that I can jack the bike up just need to get front end off the ground but need to get at the clutch line either needs tightened or replaced and I have ti tighten steering change coolant so I just need to straighten her up and get a liitle height on the front end just so the tires an inch offf the ground. Oh my jack width is about 14"
  2. Lost my clutch shifting into third yesterday got lucky and road it home in second ( about 2 miles) I beleive it' the SLAVE CYLINDER only becuse I can't find any leaks all lines seem good . I is there any where on this site that has Pictures so that I know what to look for when I pull the cylinder It's only $20 for spring and new seals so I figured I would do that first and go from there I did bleed it but got just enough clutch to get into neutral so I could push it into garage. ANY advice comments etc... would be greatly appreciated. Oh 1999 Venture and it was going bad the other day and I bled it and got about 150 miles and this happened.

  4. I have a dent in the tank on the top it's not creased or pionted in the center Have any of you seen the videos of them heating it up with a hair dryer and spraying it with CO2 and the dent poping out and does that really work ???
  5. I just bought a 1999 venture and I owned a 2000 venture a while back It seems to me the handle bars are not as wide on the 1999 as the 2000 Would someone please measure the width from handle end to end please if you have STOCK handle bars. I couldn't find a dimension in any manual
  6. Really just want to use it for when I don't know where I'm at I'm one of those guys that sees a road that looks interesting I take it. I went on E_BAY and seems like lifetime update cards are going for around $50 which is reasonable so I'm bidding on one. My wife and daughter have I-phones and you have google GPS on them free and they are GREAT if you're in a car!! they talk to you and are extemely accurate and always up to date. My son has it on his android same thing. But I like a small cell phone those are quite large. One other good thing about the I-phone and android is you can get live weather radar on them and here in Florida in the summer you can actually use it to navigate around storms . Storms come and go like busses here in the summer . The radars here have FUTURE CAST which is damn accurate it can tell you a few hours ahead of time where a storm is gonna pop up . NOW if they can get all that to pop up on an ON SCREEN display on my windshield with the touch of a button I'm good to go :rotf::rotf::rotf:
  7. Thanks guys BUT Do any of you know can you just buy the removable unit ??? reasonbeing I have the motorcycle mount AND the car mount already installed
  8. I've got a Garmin 450 that came with the bike I bought it works great, actually the speedometer is far more accurate than the one on the bike and much easier to read, but the map is WAY out of date. Garmin wants like $75 to update the map online. I think at that price I can spend a little more and just buy a new GPS . Any one know if there's a way to go online and maybe download something from google , mapquest or anything???
  9. Tightening the steering is I think the way to go there's NOTHING wrong with the rubber it's an Avon with plenty of tread and NO unusual wear I let you guys know if that does it THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool10:
  10. I just bought a 1999 venture has 37K on it I'm having an issue with the front end being VERY heavy in turns, I actually push the opposite way because of the weight it's like I'm fighting it . it also SEEMS to wobble slightly whe turning sharp at very slow speeds It's hard to explain. Does not seem to be anything loose on the axle etc...rubber is Avon with plenty of tread and looks fine HELP!!!!!!!!!please!!!!!!!
  11. I don't know how old you are but I have FULL coverage with Geico and it's only $99 a year I'm 54 and have a lousy driving record. Although it might have a lot as to where you live . In Florida if you own your bike out right you ARE NOT required to have any insurance even liability as long as you have personal insurance for hospitalization.
