I gotta ask how much your paying I've purchased 7 of these in the last 2 years and I just bought a 2003 Midnight Venture with 4500 miles, yes forty five hundred miles for $4600. I'm not a Dealer every one was purchased off Craigs list.The mileage is very high on average out of 7 from a 99 to the newest being a 2004 the highest mileage was 25K If your really concerned about the motor etc.. and the seller has no problem, take it to a dealer or mechanic and have them go through it, get a compression check have them check all the fluids to see if they're fresh etc.. check date on tires. Also check for play in clutch and brake levers and shifter. Here's 2 in Florida to give you an idea what they're going for. DO NOT go to Cycle Springs I took a bike there and they wanted to tear it apart after taking it for a ride they couldn't figure out what the sound was in the rear end. I thought it was the tire. They had a guy about maybe 20-25 years old take it for a ride and he heard the noise but had no clue as to what it was. They wanted to tear the rear end apart. I went for a run to Brooksville the next weekend and stopped by Barneys and they confirmed my suspicions it was the rear tire I replaced the rear tire NOISE GONE. Call me I'll give ya couple Ideas as to what you can do.

If any one has an old windshield lying around you wanta sell (clear) scratched okay just no major gouges I only use it for long trips and drive mostly at night (and after the bugs hit it looks half destroyed any way) I use a shorty black one most all the time, so fair condition and cheap is good for me. 2003 Venture

I've owned 5 ventures and never had bad radio reception(FM) but I have it BAD now just goes in and out. Where do I begin to trouble shoot this ? connection at antenna is good no rust , corrosion etc... and tape deck plays fine over bumps etc.. just radio goes in and out

Fuel line end at petcock cracked. Dealer wants $48 for itgood quality gas line is only a couple dollars. Has any one here replaced theirs with a non OEM fuel line? If so does it have to be high pressure? Also the only thing that concerns me is the first turn it takes the OEM one has a fixed hard bend in it, the rest is soft bends to the fuel filter, Oh it's a 2003 Venture

Any one have this EXACT flag pole I took the set screw out and all the pole does is turn I"m not sure if the pole screws out or the cap screws off. I want to change the flag and wash the American one.

could be an Osprey don't know if they're found in your part of the country but a bunch here (Florida)and thats about the size. Oh and a small cat wouldn't be out of the question I've seen them with some pretty big fruit rats in they're talons and always see them with large fish. My daughter has been using one for years I bought her a 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee and only had a cassette player and she uses that for her I PHONE works great

1983 Yamaha Venture Royal completely stock runs fine shifts fine condition 8 outta 10 condition wise no rust or pitting paints fine and ONLY 10,000 MILES!! And the Mileage is accurate per Title shows he purchase with 8600 on it about 8 years ago. I need an Idea of what something like this is worth. Does it have any collector value or is it just a low mileage old bike.

He said the clutch actually went out while he was riding and that he had it towed. He replaced the clutch and insted of having it on a level jack he did it with the kickstand down and since it wasn't level something, a bearing I think he said slipped and tit didn't align right. He said it starts up and runs but the clutch is hard as a rock and does not move . That leads me to believe he did it wrong.

I'm looking at buying a 1996 Royal star has 26k on it and he claims new clutch and only needs clutch push rod to be aligned. I've never heard of this,Never done any clutch work on one. PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!:hurts::banana: It's only 150 miles from where I live I get there about 8 AM and Park across from Froggies on Main street (Believe me it's like a ghost town at 8 AM). Hang out all day until about 10 PM , the place is at FULL ROCK MODE by then, and a bit to rowdy and crowded for me, so that's when I head home. I've been using Marvel mystery oil and Sea Foam for such a long time . Well, I used both to try and clean my carbs out , I had an idle issue where it was going up and down and when i rode it for a while it would stay real high and if I turned it down to where it sounded normal the next day when you started it it wouldn't idle without the choke out then you'd ride it and the same thing the idle would shoot right up. So I tried techron I did the same thing as I did with the others .I disconnected the fuel line put a funnel in it and flooded the carbs with it and let it sit over night. Well a NIGHT and DAY difference it idles fine the throttle response is normal and sounds great. This stuff just made me a believer also it was $6.97 enough for 20 gallons of gas. The other thind Sea Fom and Marvel made the engine harder to start and smoked a hell of a lot. The techron didn't smoke at all and started right up.

I've owned a '96 and 2 97 Royal Stars 4 Royal star Ventures '99,2000,2003,2004... an 07 Tour Deluxe and now a '05 Tour Deluxe and the '05 HAS NO CLUTCH WHINE!!! Every one of the others had that infamous clutch whine they were all very noticeable But this one has none I mean ZERO!!! I can actually hear some cylinder knock or engine noise whatever you want to call it (which dealer said didn't sound out of the normal). But he couldn't answer my question if I SHOULD BE CONCERNED about NO CLUTCH WHINE!! What I'm concerned about is that after 7 of these and 6 having that oh so familiar sound it worries me, it's like riding something and I start hearing things from the motor that I've never hear before and making me very paranoid that something else is wrong. Ive got all the receipts from the first owner and no repair done to clutch , second owner did NOTHING to it road it maybe 1000 miles. So think I'm NUTS???? or should I have a complete run through on the bike, Oh and fluid and tension shifting etc. is fine

I had one go out about 26K on venture . Cant' you just replace with a non air shock?? I've had 5 of these and never once did I adjust it. The replacement was $750 for the shock and $150 in labor there's gotta be a cheaper way
